If Leila dies, her two severely ill sons will soon follow her! And the third will be left an orphan! We can still save her!!! But there is very, very little time! She urgently needs to undergo an examination in Turkey!

calendar July 26, 2024

Can you imagine a dying, still young 41-year-old woman, gravely ill with a constant temperature of 39–40 degrees, sometimes managing to get out of bed to collect scrap metal just to buy medicine for herself and her severely ill children, and of course, some food? At least for them – for the children – she loves more than life! A horror that cannot be described in words! God forbid any of us to experience such a thing!!! We ask the friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund to respond and take this family’s plight as their own! The most important thing God has allowed us to do in this life is not to pass by someone else’s misfortune!
First and foremost, we need to take care of the mother. If something happens to her, God forbid, we will never forgive ourselves!  It’s unimaginable how the sick children will cope without their mother. Mom is sacred to them, that’s all they have.

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Leila (41-year-old): I’ve been cut open so many times. I’ve undergone nine extremely long and difficult surgeries and had anesthesia 12 times. They removed my gallbladder, appendix, I had two bowel obstructions, and three stent placements in my right kidney, which ultimately had to be removed. They also amputated my uterus with appendages. I suffer from fever, my temperature rises to forty, and there is no part of my body that doesn’t hurt. The worst part is that Georgian doctors can’t explain what’s wrong with me.

“I turned to the Chernovetskyi Fund for help; I have nowhere else to go”

Leila: Help me, help me get examined in Turkey. Our family could never save up the necessary amount – $4,400 – in a lifetime. This is a matter of life and death for me! Soon, my remaining kidney might fail! I beg you, save my life! I’m still young, I’m only 41 years old, and I want to see my children grow up.

“If I die, what will happen to my severely ill sons?  They are very attached to their mother”

Leila: Alexandre has epilepsy, and Nikusha suffers from the aftereffects of meningitis, resulting in intellectual disability. If he doesn’t take his medication on time, he experiences seizures and aggressive outbursts. My boy is 13 years old but still needs diapers.

“To get Nikusha to sleep, I give him three kinds of sedatives together. Often, he sits on the bed until five in the morning. And I sit with him.”

“My middle son, Stefan, is 14 years old. He had to drop out of school to take care of his sick brother. I can’t manage alone.”

– What do you live on, Leila?

Leila: We don’t live, we survive on social allowance and the disability pensions of my children. My husband and I can’t bear to see our boys suffer. We collect scrap metal from the streets to sell and use the money to buy medicine and food.

“My husband also disassembles old televisions for parts to sell. He takes on odd jobs, but work is not always available.”

Leila: I would do anything to feed my children!  It’s hard to talk about, but there was a time when I begged on the streets. But now, I can’t stand even ten minutes! And it’s so embarrassing, so embarrassing! Please help, I don’t want to go back to that life! Must I really stand with my hand out again?

– Have you lived in this house for a long time?

Leila: We have lived here for 13 years. There were only walls here before: no electricity, no water, no gas. Rain and snow poured on our heads, and we sheltered under plastic sheeting.  Little has changed since then.

“The roof leaks as it always did. Look, we don’t even have doors.”

Leila: I’m not asking for help with repairs. Fourteen families, like us, live here without any official status. We are all trying to get the city administration to formally recognize these homes. I’m very afraid that after my death, my sick children will be thrown out onto the street.

We ask the friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund to respond and take this family’s plight as their own! The most important thing God has allowed us to do in this life is not to pass by someone else’s misfortune!

Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone’s prayers through you!

Friends, our founder has undergone twice one of the many severe surgeries that Leila Shamoyan has had to endure.  Two five-hour surgeries under anesthesia. It’s been 20 years since then. Yet he still thanks God he survived, because the horror of this disease and its consequences are beyond words!

He has found information about this illness for you so that no one else has to suffer from it. In Georgia, people love to eat… Be careful and, of course, stay healthy, friends!  But make sure to read this article! Such a condition can happen to anyone, and if the cause isn’t detected immediately, you can lose half a meter of your intestines every hour.  You could lose your life in a single day! May God grant you good health, Leonid!

Intestinal Obstruction

Intestinal obstruction is a condition in which the movement of food through the intestines is partially or completely halted. It most commonly affects older adults and those who have had abdominal surgery.

Causes of Intestinal Obstruction

Various factors can lead to intestinal obstruction:

  • The presence of a tumor or foreign body in the intestines.
  • Kinking or compression of the bowel.
  • Severe weakening of intestinal contractions due to certain medications.

Intestinal obstruction is considered one of the most dangerous abdominal conditions today.    It is classified into acute, chronic, and recurrent types. It can also be congenital or acquired. Congenital obstruction results from developmental defects of the intestines.  The rest are acquired types

Which include dynamic and mechanical obstructions. Dynamic obstruction is further divided into spastic and paralytic forms. Mechanical obstruction can be obstructive or strangulatory. One common type of this disease is adhesive intestinal obstruction, caused by bleeding or abdominal injuries and previous peritonitis.

Symptoms of Intestinal Obstruction

The symptoms depend on the form of obstruction. In spastic dynamic obstruction, there is a spastic contraction of a small part of the intestine, while in paralytic dynamic obstruction, there is paralysis of the intestinal muscles over a larger area. Symptoms of these forms include abdominal bloating, decreased blood pressure, tachycardia, absence of peristalsis, and irritation of the peritoneum. Vomiting often occurs, leading to dehydration due to the loss of large amounts of fluid.

In mechanical obstruction, symptoms are similar to dynamic obstruction but more severe. The main symptom is intense abdominal pain at the site of obstruction, often cramp-like. If there is bowel twisting, the pain can be so severe that it may lead to a shock state. Persistent vomiting is also a symptom of mechanical obstruction.

Gas and stool retention is common in intestinal obstruction. In low obstructions, attempts to defecate are unsuccessful, and laxatives worsen the condition. In high obstructions, enemas can clear the lower bowel, allowing the passage of gas and stool,  but the patient’s overall condition does not improve. To confirm the diagnosis, abdominal X-rays are performed. In children, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is used.

Treatment of Intestinal Obstruction

Intestinal obstruction is treated only through surgery. If there are no symptoms of diffuse peritonitis, treatment initially involves performing cleansing enemas. Once gas and stool are expelled, reducing abdominal bloating and pain, surgery may be conducted. During surgery, glucose solutions are administered intravenously, and blood transfusions may be performed.

The surgery is carried out under general anesthesia. In the postoperative period, the patient undergoes aspiration of intestinal and stomach contents within the first 24 hours.  Subsequent care includes measures to restore intestinal motility.
