We are announcing an urgent donation for the rehabilitation of 14-year-old seriously ill Lamara! The girl asks to relieve her of unbearable pain! Scoliosis puts pressure on the lungs and can suffocate the child!
There is no greater horror for a loving mother than to watch her child suffer every day and not be able to help!
Lamara can’t go a minute without her mother’s help. She is 14 years old, but she can neither walk, nor stand, nor sit. Since childhood, the girl has been confined to a wheelchair and … to her mother. Yes, the poor mother’s lower back is paralyzed, but she is ready to carry her daughter in her arms as long as she lives.
Lamara has severe pain in her spine. Her condition is getting worse every day, a hump has started to grow. It hurts her to breathe. If treatment is delayed, her internal organs will be at risk; Scoliosis presses the lungs and can suffocate the child!
All the family’s money goes towards their daughter’s treatment. The parents recently sold their only cow to pay for rehabilitation courses. This is vital. The girl started showing good results, learned to hold light objects in her hands. But the excercises had to be stopped because the money ran out. Alas, the family has nothing left to sell. And for a year now there has been no way to take the daughter to the doctor. The parents turned to our foundation hoping that kind people would not leave them in trouble and would help their daughter continue her rehabilitation course and pay for therapeutic massage!
– Lamara, how are you feeling?
Lamara (14 years old): My legs and back hurt, and I can’t sit in the wheelchair for long.
– And when you lie down, does it hurt?
Lamara: It hurts too, I can’t even roll over on my side. I call my mother in the middle of the night. I’m crying from pain!
– What can ease this pain? How can we help you?
Lamara: Rehabilitation helps me. I really want to continue therapy, but my parents don’t have money. What should I do? Can you pass on this to kind people to help me?! Please pass it on. I don’t want my legs to hurt. I’m tired of the pain.
The parents do not give up, they stubbornly continue to work with their daughter at home, but this is not enough. The girl urgently needs classes with professional doctors – rehabilitation specialists.

Lamara has had cerebral palsy since birth. Every day is a struggle for survival for her. Look at her baby photos. How cute she is!
Lamara is a very smart girl, she understands and feels everything. Overcoming the pain, she goes to school. Even though it is very difficult for her to sit motionless in a wheelchair for several hours. She cannot write, but she listens. Often she feels unbearable pain and her parents carry her home from school in their arms. But the next day she asks to go to school again.

And this is the younger sister – Sofia. She is constantly sad because Lamara cannot walk, and she does not leave her sister’s wheelchair for a single step.
Sofia (7 years old): “Auntie, Auntie, have you come to help my little sister? Help! She cries all the time because her legs hurt, and I cry with her. I want more than anything in the world for her to play with me and run around the yard like all the other children. I feel very, very sorry for her, she is so good, kind, like an angel. I want my sister to be happy, but now she is sad because she cannot walk. She sits at home sadly all the time and looks out the window.”

Sofia: “Look, my mom drew this. She always draws God and He always helps us. And now He will help through good people. God will send them to us, I believe! And they will help my little sister go through rehabilitation!”

Look at the house the family lives in. The windows are covered with cellophane, the roof is leaking, the rooms are damp, there is mold on the walls.

The father can’t watch his daughter suffer. His heart can’t take it. He’s started having health problems, high blood pressure, but he has no money for tests. Just imagine how much strength and energy it takes to look after a seriously ill child! But parents think about themselves last!

Lamara is looking forward to the next course of rehabilitation and we believe that this is possible thanks to your support, our caring and kind friends.

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!
For 14 years, Lamara has endured more hardships than many adults face in a lifetime. From birth, she could neither walk, stand, nor sit. Scoliosis pressed on her lungs and threatened to suffocate her. But you, the kind friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund, came together and paid for a life-saving rehabilitation course for Lamara.
And now a miracle – in just two months, the girl whose body was motionless can freely move her arms and legs. Most importantly, they obey her!
Lamara is a true fighter! She fought hard during her therapy sessions for the chance to stand on her own feet. Now she can sit, stand, and even take her first steps with the help of a walking trainer.
Gegine, Lamara’s mother (36 year old): “Every day we see our daughter becoming more active, smiling, and bringing us joy. Of course, there’s still much work ahead, but thanks to you, our goal is closer than ever. We can’t stop rejoicing at our child’s progress. Thank you to the Chernovetskyi Fund and all the friends of the Fund for your help!”
These photos are from our archive – take a look! This girl once was bound to a wheelchair and to her mother’s arms. Her poor mother’s back suffered from carrying her everywhere.
Razmik, rehabilitation specialist: “When I first saw Lamara, I was scared. All her joints were locked and immobile. I thought about refusing her case, knowing how severe it was. But the girl persuaded me to start: ‘Please take me for rehabilitation; I promise I won’t cry.’ I couldn’t resist. Lamara promised to endure every exercise bravely – and she did. When it hurt, she clenched her teeth and kept working. No screams, no tears. I am so proud of her! Every day we work, and every day she moves forward! ”
Gegine: “The most touching thing – my daughter has started holding utensils by herself and eating! Before, this seemed impossible… I always had to feed her with a spoon. Tears of happiness! Without your help, these steps forward would never have happened. Thank you for your kind and generous hearts!”
Soon Lamara will go to school, and imagine the surprise of her classmates and teachers when they see her holding a pen and turning the pages of a book on her own.
– “We understand your challenges are far from over; there’s still so much to be done. What do you need most at this stage? What problems remain?”
Gegine: “To secure the progress we’ve achieved and ease my daughter’s pain, we need further therapy and regular medical massage. But our family simply can’t afford it. Lamara also has dental problems — her cheek sometimes swells – but no dentist in Akhaltsikhe has agreed to treat her. For this, we would need to travel to Tbilisi. And we need money for that, which we do not have. Our only hope is for kind people to once again show kindness to my daughter.”
We appeal to all caring people: Put yourself in these parents’ place. Feel their pain and fear. Do not let the hope for a little girl’s recovery fade away! Any help, even the smallest, can be life-changing.
