Gio has experienced clinical death four times in a row! Just imagine what his mother must have gone through, watching her son die in her arms—it’s a pain no one should ever endure. The harrowing fear left her with diabetes. Gio was born healthy, but life took an unexpected turn. At the age of two, he was diagnosed with epilepsy, a condition they have not been able to control. Later, more devastating diagnoses followed: cerebral palsy and autism. His condition worsens every day. He suffers up to 10 seizures daily, none of which can be stopped by medication. Gio urgently needs to undergo medical examinations and start a new treatment plan, but there’s no money for doctors. The family survives on Gio’s disability pension and social allowance, which isn’t even enough for basic food. Gio, his sister, and their mother are often left hungry. Thank God for the food provided by the social canteen; without it, they would have starved to death.

Gio has experienced clinical death four times in a row! Just imagine what his mother must have gone through, watching her son die in her arms—it’s a pain no one should ever endure. The harrowing fear left her with diabetes.
Megi, Gio’s mother (46 years old): ‘This is my cross to bear, and I must carry it.’
Megi, Gio’s mother (46): ‘Kind people, you’ll understand me if you’re parents yourselves! A mother cannot imagine life without her child. Please, help save my son’s life! May God bless you!’
At first glance, Gio seems just like any other child his age. He’s just as cheerful, curious, and always smiling. But behind that smile lies a heartbreaking story of struggle. The trials this little boy has endured are beyond comprehension.
Gio is now 12 years old, but his development is far from typical for his age. He doesn’t talk, requires constant care, and although he deeply wants to make friends, other children often avoid him. The boy attends a school for children with special needs, but his mother stopped taking him to classes, fearing that seizures might occur during lessons. She doesn’t want to traumatize the other children. Can you imagine witnessing little Gio suddenly collapse to the floor, unconscious, convulsing, with foam coming from his mouth? It’s a sight no one should have to see.
“Amen!” This is the only word Gio repeats constantly.
“When Gio has a seizure, he looks at me as if pleading:
‘Mom, help me…’ But all I can do is call an ambulance.” Without proper treatment, epilepsy becomes even more dangerous, and each new seizure could be his last.
Every month, Gio needs medication costing 500 GEL and diapers. Please give Gio the chance to live without pain, fear, and the constant threat of seizures!
Megi: “Our heater leaks gas. It’s very dangerous! But we can’t afford a new one.”
Megi: “We don’t even have a proper table. Look, I made this one myself from whatever I could find! And there’s no washing machine in the house, so I have to wash everything by hand in cold water.”
Gio’s sister, 20-year-old Nino, has an underdeveloped hip joint. Walking causes her excruciating pain, and she limps as a result. She needs treatment, but all the family’s money goes toward her brother’s medications. An operation could help Nino, but it can’t be done until she turns 25.
Megi, a widow, is raising her children alone and doing everything she can for their future. But she cannot manage without your help. Make any donation right now to help fund Gio’s treatment. Just imagine what his mother goes through every single day. Yet she doesn’t give up—she continues to love and fight for her son. And you can help them!”
If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Vazisubani, 4th microdistrict, 2nd block, building 10.
Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone’s prayers through you!
