A Georgian Woman Begs the Ministry of Health: Don’t Let Me Die! “Please, I’m begging you—give me an oxygen machine! You know I can’t afford it. And without it, I can’t live even a single day…” But the answer she receives is no. Where else could something like this happen? Every time Marina suffers an attack of breathlessness, she says goodbye to her daughter – as if for the last time. She has pulmonary fibrosis and urgently needs an oxygen concentrator. Without it, she won’t survive. And that’s not all – Marina is also suffering from elephantiasis, which is literally causing her body to rot alive. She’s bedridden and completely immobile.
God, how thankful we are that Marina reached out to us!

Marina (69): “If I don’t get an oxygen machine, I’ll suffocate. Breathing is so hard… I need it like I need air! I have pulmonary fibrosis. But I just don’t have money to buy this life-saving machine. Even my pension isn’t enough to cover my medications…”
Aliona, daughter (49): “My mother has elephantiasis. Her legs are in such a terrible state you can’t look at them without crying. She can’t even get out of bed. To take her to the hospital for scans, we’d need to call a disaster medicine response team – and that costs a lot of money. Where am I supposed to get it? But she urgently needs a CT scan of her chest.”
Aliona: “My mother is everything to me. I have no one else but her.
Aliona: I’ve never asked anyone for anything in my life. But now I’m begging you – please help save my mother. If she gets the oxygen machine, she’ll live. If not—she won’t survive. Without it, she can barely last 15 minutes.”
Aliona: “Just look—her oxygen saturation is 87%. That’s below the critical level. How is my poor mother enduring this?”
Aliona: “A kind friend let us borrow a machine for a short time. But it’s not strong enough—
she needs a much more powerful concentrator. We reached out to the Ministry of Health, but they refused to fund it. Our only hope now is kind-hearted people – and I know there are many in Georgia!”
Aliona: “My mom has the kindest heart. You could say her home was a shelter for stray animals. When she was healthy, she looked after cats and dogs, sharing even her last piece of bread with them. Now I take care of them instead. I can’t just abandon them – my mom never would!”
Friends, this is one of those moments when passing by is not an option. You can’t just read this story and not act. That would be a crime.
Dear donors, during a meeting at the foundation, we decided to purchase a 10-liter oxygen concentrator and an oxygen cylinder, as well as cover the cost of a chest CT scan and transportation to the Todua Clinic. We also plan to provide hygiene products, adult diapers, medication, a medical bed, an anti-decubitus mattress, and a blood pressure monitor.
We’re turning to you for advice – your opinion matters to us. Please let us know in the comments if there’s anything we’ve overlooked that could help improve the life of our beneficiary, Fedorova.
If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Tbilisi, Vazisubani Settlement, Block 17, apartment 47.
Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone’s prayers through you!

From now on, we’ll call you a team of rehabilitation specialists! You gave Marina an oxygen concentrator – and you breathed life back into her! For the first time in a long while, this woman can get out of bed on her own!
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Without an oxygen concentrator, Marina – who suffers from lymphedema and elephantiasis – can only survive for 15 minutes. The ambulance used to come to the 69-year-old woman every day. But when her daughter could no longer afford the costly rental of the oxygen machine, Marina was literally suffocating to death…
Dear friends, whether you have medical training or not, from now on we’re going to call you the biggest team of rehabilitation specialists out there. You brought Marina back from the brink by purchasing her a 10-liter oxygen concentrator – and breathing air back into her lungs. You have compassion and humanity—qualities that, sadly, government officials seem to lack.
And here’s more good news: Marina’s oxygen saturation level is now 97%! That’s an amazing result! We thank you for your swift help in saving her life.
For the first time in a long while, Marina—supported by her daughter – can get out of bed. She now has a special medical bed: high, wide, and with an adjustable backrest. It’s much easier for her to breathe while lying with her head elevated.
You even helped prevent bedsores by sending her a special anti-decubitus mattress.
What’s next? What else can we do to help Marina? We’re sharing her doctor’s recommendations with you, dear friends – because sharing them with officials is pointless. Whether Marina lives or dies makes no difference to them.
1. Marina urgently needs a CT scan of the heart. The walls of her heart are thickened, and that’s dangerous.
2. She needs a monthly supply of a special spray for her heart and lungs. It’s expensive – but essential for survival.
3. She needs a blood pressure monitor with a wide cuff.
4. She constantly requires diapers and disposable bed pads for bedridden patients.
Daughter Aliona: “I’m so thankful to the Fund’s friends for everything you’ve done for us! You are kind, compassionate people – real heroes. I cry with gratitude. You’re wonderful. There’s no one like you anywhere in the world! I keep fighting for my mother’s life, but I’m so afraid I won’t be able to help. Please—stay with us, don’t leave us alone!”
