This isn’t just hardship, friends. It’s a desperate, almost final cry for help from two of our compatriots. We are their only hope!
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!
An elderly, limping mother – barely able to move – is ready to give her life for her gravely ill son.
They live in dire poverty. You can’t even call it a home – just a rotting shack with no windows or doors, with the roof full of holes like the heart of this poor woman… There’s no one to help these kind, good people – no one but us, dear friends!
A mother is an angel in the flesh for her child. May the Lord bless all motherly love!
Valeri, 38, is Ketevan’s only son. He has undergone five major brain surgeries after a tragic accident: a huge tree branch once fell on his head when he was still a young and handsome man, severely injuring his brain. At times, he doesn’t understand what he’s doing and can’t control his emotions. And all of this burden has fallen on the shoulders of his ailing mother – the only person still keeping him going.
His father passed away long ago. Valeri has no other relatives. What will happen to him if his mother is gone?
“We live in dire poverty. Every day gets worse. I can’t afford to buy medicine or see a doctor.
I want to live! – he nearly shouts to our reporter. – Who will save us?”
Sadly, he doesn’t realize that his outbursts at his mother are shortening her life.
Ketevan has broken her leg and can barely walk. But she doesn’t think about her own pain – her heart is breaking for her son. He is the only meaning in her life.
Ketevan (61-year-old): “I clean homes to get by. Neighbors call me when they need help. The 20–30 lari I earn it through blood, sweat, and tears is all I have to buy food, so my son and I don’t starve. Don’t think I’m jealous of the women who hire me – I just want to live like a queen for one day, like they do.”
Ketevan: “All we have to eat – today and every day – is plain mchadi. Our 120-lari social allowance isn’t even enough to buy bread. There’s a canteen near my home. When I pass by, I stop just to breathe in the smell of food. Sometimes that aroma alone helps me cope with the hunger…”
One look at their home in Samtredia, and it becomes painfully clear: this is a place of suffering and misery. This is more than hardship – it’s a cry for help!
Just look at the gaping holes in the roof. The family is almost living under the open sky.
There’s no furniture, no appliances – not even basic amenities like a toilet or a bathroom. This isn’t a home. It’s a scorched patch of pain and despair where people are simply trying to survive.
Ketevan: “I don’t even have a gas stove. I go to my neighbors just to cook. If only you knew how embarrassed I feel… How much longer can I keep bothering them?”
The mother and her seriously ill son are crammed into one small room – the only place where rain doesn’t leak through. It’s their last island of warmth and refuge.
Dear friends, may the Lord bless you for helping this decent, kind family! First and foremost, they need medication. They also need food, beds, and any kind of furniture or appliances. There is no washing machine, no refrigerator, no stove – nothing. And most urgently, their dangerous home needs repairs, especially the holes in the roof. Do good while you can. Be with us!
They say life is full of surprises. Someone who has everything today could lose it all in a single moment. That’s why we must do as many good deeds as we can while we are alive!
Because one day, any of us could end up in their shoes, hungry and in need of support. Help your neighbor if you hope to receive help in your darkest hour. Listen to the words of the Lord written in the Holy Book – and the Lord will hear your prayers!
If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Samtredia, Melauri, 14 Muskhelishvili Str.
