Exhausted by unbearable pain, Koka drifts into sleep… And every time he falls asleep, he dreams the same thing – his little daughter Eva gently stroking his head with her tiny hands.

Ravaged by aggressive cancer, Koka says goodbye every single day to his beloved wife and little daughter… Afraid that he’ll fall asleep and never wake up before your help reaches him, friends.

Koka is wasting away before our eyes. He has acute lymphoblastic leukemia. His immune system is gone, his strength is fading. Every day is like living on a volcano — cancer cells have already invaded 90% of his bone marrow! The metastases have spread to his brain. The disease is progressing rapidly. Whether this young man lives or dies depends on whether his family can find the money to continue life-saving treatment in Turkey.

In Georgia, doctors could only offer him palliative care – to live out his days under observation. 

The responsible officer of the Ministry of Health – whom we contacted immediately – shockingly told our representative that we would receive a response only after 30 days! If only the person who gave such an answer could spend a day in the shoes of that desperate father!  

But in Turkey, there is hope – treatment that can pull him from the clutches of this cruel, merciless cancer. A bone marrow transplant is Koka’s only chance. But first, several rounds of chemotherapy.

Who knows — maybe those were the last hugs between a father and his daughter… But we must not let that happen!

“Lord, help me survive for the sake my daughter!” – Koka repeats again and again. 

His four-year-old Eva is waiting for him back home in Poti, longing for her daddy. The thought that he might hug his little princess again keeps him alive. Don’t let this child become an orphan.

The Turkish clinic opened its doors and started Koka’s treatment even without full payment. The doctors immediately began chemotherapy. The treatment is helping – but the clinic cannot continue for long without payment. One month in the hospital costs $27,000 – money the family simply doesn’t have. 

Please help Koka. The situation is critical. Stopping his treatment now would mean ending his life. Just a few days ago, Koka lost consciousness and was rushed to intensive care – where he spent five days. Even the doctors couldn’t tell his wife if he would come out alive. But Koka survived — and it was truly a miracle from God! 

Natia (27), Koka’s wife: “I can’t pull Koka out of this nightmare on my own. I’m scared. And every day, I’m more afraid. Everything is hanging by a thread… And we’re almost out of time. We’ve been through so much… it’s like living through hell on earth. He wants to live. He deserves to live. You won’t find a single person Koka ever hurt – he’s the kindest, most caring man. Chemotherapy felt like dying a little every day. It’s a brutal poisoning of the body…  and Koka endured it. He’s ready to go through whatever it takes – endure any pain, fight any battle – if only to stay alive… For his little angel.
