At age 2, boiling water burned almost all of little Levan’s body.  Today he’s 33, but with each passing year, the suffering grows! His body burns with unbearable pain, becoming more and more intense! The life of a good Georgian boy has turned into a hellish curse!

Levan is 33. But his childhood was cut short when he was just two years old.

Boiling water. One second. And life was forever divided into “before” and “after.” 

After a terrible burn, Levan was no longer able to develop like other children. He didn’t go to school. His independent life was tragically cut short!

He doesn’t walk. Levan has been confined to a wheelchair for many years. He can speak, but his gaze speaks louder than words. 

Levan is only 33 years old. It’s an age when a person has their whole life ahead of them: family, children, plans, dreams. He dreamed of being a husband, a father, a support. He dreamed of simple things that seem mundane to many.

And he had one special dream. To play rugby someday. To feel the strength of his body. Running. A team. Fighting. Winning. Today he is confined to a wheelchair. But his dreams live on. And while there is a chance, we have no right to take them away. 

His mother has been by his side his entire life. Tamara Tevdorashvili, 54 years old. 

Her husband died many years ago from a lung disease.

Since then, Tamara has been alone — alone — even though she herself is gravely ill. With a son who requires constant care! 

The unfortunate woman’s back gave out, and she was left completely alone with unbearable back pain and a numb leg following a major spinal surgery. Alone with hopeless poverty, fatigue, and anxiety about each passing day. 

But Tamara didn’t give up. Over the years, Levan underwent three surgeries in Georgia — on his spine, heel, and hip. And in October 2025, he underwent another operation in Turkey to lengthen his ligaments. 

The doctors have given him hope: after the surgery, Levan will be able to walk, as long as you continue treatment immediately! Joints tend to “close,” and if he stops treatment now and doesn’t begin rehabilitation (God forbids! God forbids!), his chance to walk could be lost forever. 

Today, Levan desperately needs rehabilitation: 20 treatments a month, each costing 100 lari! A specialist must make home visits. These unfortunate people don’t have nearly that kind of money, even if they live in the dark, without gas, food, or any other payments! Tamara and Levan’s income is next to nothing: their son’s pension, social assistance, and a free canteen. 

Tamara works part-time as a cleaner when she can. They share a room in the disputed property of her late mother-in-law. 

All that God has rewarded these unfortunate people with today: HOPE! HOPE and LIFE IN A COUNTRY OF DEEPLY BELIEVERS – GEORGIA! HOPE THAT AFTER SO MUCH INHUMAN TORMENT, LEVAN WILL STAND FIRMLY ON HIS FEET, AND HIS BELOVED MOTHER’S SPINE WILL RECOVER! 

Sometimes fate gives you a chance. 

Sometimes that chance is us. 

Let’s help Levan undergo rehabilitation.
