Until she was three nobody even supposed that the little kid is
suffering a serious disease. Her development gap was considered a timely
phenomenon, but when the 7-year old girl stopped walking, her parents started
to sound the alarms. However it was too late. In addition, the poor family did
not have any means to finance the girl’s treatment abroad.

The horrible illness was progressing so much that today the 25-year old
girl is bedridden and totally helpless in her full despair. Khatuna’s deformed
organism is bending with unbearable pain and struggles with death every day.
She has frequent attacks, and sometimes her convulsions are so strong that the
fragile bones of the poor girl get broken!

When the pain subsides for short periods of time, her only relief is
watching TV series. 

Khatuna’s family, the Lemsadze, is socially unprotected and they lead a
miserable existence. They lack money for simple food, not to speak of some
medical treatment or a rehabilitation course of this young girl. 

Khatuna cries very often. She cries because of the destiny she has to
live, and the situation in which her family got due to her illness. But anyway
she does not give up and struggles for life. Her only dream is to find friends,
to find a person with whom she could share her thoughts and her sorrow. She
believes that miracles do happen and that dreams come true.
