Surprisingly, she keeps many of their secrets and sometimes talks to them for a long time, sitting on the fence! After all, their relatives … Many left those places, and others – others who are alive – each has so many problems in Ozurgeti that sometimes they want to change places with the one they buried! And the majority – remember every day and plan to come, but then forget and repent, repent, until they remember less and less often! It happens that even for years those who loved and were loved and respected in life – gradually remain in the Earth forever forgotten by everyone and alone! For some graves people leave small sums of money! After all, rich people want to be buried in Tbilisi or another big city and in prestigious cemeteries! In the mountainous regions of Georgia and in such remote places, rich people are rarely buried! People do not know the simple wisdom that usually, the more expensive the grave and the monument over it, the less loved and respected the deceased was! At the funeral, such a person is paid a debt of insufficient attention, love and respect during life, and sometimes even a debt for betrayal! After all, a dead person is completely indifferent to where he is buried and how luxurious the monument over his grave is! Mariam prays sincerely over every grave! Whether they paid or not, it doesn’t matter to the child! But miraculously, the dead did not remain in debt: they give the child dreams of tasty meat and beautiful toys…, and she, her mother and two brothers have not yet died of hunger!

Warning! Cases of fraudulent activity by so-called “charitable foundations” are on the rise in Georgia. Disguised as legitimate non-profits, these organizations embezzle funds collected for the treatment of critically ill and terminally ill children. In essence, they are committing acts that cost lives. Deceived families lose precious time – time that can mean the difference between life and death for their loved ones. These are not minor offenses: they constitute both financial fraud and attempted murder. And yet, we are convinced that not a single criminal case will be opened by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Even though such schemes clearly qualify as serious crimes, the Ministry does not even have a dedicated unit to investigate them.  One of the victims was four-year-old Guram. One such fraudulent foundation tricked his family into handing over 13,000 GEL, supposedly to cover the cost of sending their child to France for treatment and to process the required documentation. They were told the foundation’s collected funds were insufficient, and additional money was needed. The poor mother, holding her sick son in her arms and waiting hopefully at the airport for their flight to France, eventually learned the heartbreaking truth: it had all been a carefully orchestrated scam, carried out by fraudsters operating under the guise of charity. After the mother handed the money – borrowed from the bank in a desperate attempt to save her child – to one of the scammers, the family was left penniless, unable even to buy food for their son. Meanwhile, Guram’s condition has worsened. And now, saving his life is far more difficult than it could have been. People of faith and compassion – let us restore hope to this grieving mother, deceived by heartless fraudsters. Let us come together and save little Guramiko.

He rushed to help – but when he lost consciousness, the drunken brutes slashed his carotid artery with a piece of broken glass. Horrifying! With that, they sentenced this 23-year-old man – a father of two newborn babies – to certain death. This was a brutal attempted murder, friends! And we, the staff of the Fund, with your support, will fight to ensure the killers receive the maximum punishment in court! Because if we wait for the Ministry of Health to allocate funds, David may simply not survive… Georgian doctors are giving him only a 1% chance of survival. And of course, we’re not talking about treatment in local clinics. Back home, David’s son Ioane and his beautiful daughter Nicole are waiting for him… David is the family’s sole breadwinner.
