The condition of Edmon Avakian is deplorable. Bouts can start any time and
nobody knows how his pathology will show itself next time. The boy cannot
speak, he just gives out separate sounds when something disturbs him. He

His mother takes care of Edmon. She gives him everything she can, but the

Alvina, Edmon’s mother, has been taking care of her son all alone for 20
