Look at this wooden hut. Even cattle would be spared and would not be allowed to spend the night here. However, unfortunately, it is not cattle that live here, but these five angelic children. At the slightest breath of wind, the house rocks like a cradle. Before going to bed, the children ask God for the morning to come for them. At this age, children think about toys. In the Khachiperadze family, the only concern of the children is to save their own lives. These brick walls were built with the help of the local government for the Khachiperadze family (Baghdad Municipality, Obcha village). However, there are only walls here. No floor, no windows. The children’s mother, Inga Samadalashvili, who is raising five children all by herself, is embarrassed to ask kind people for help, although she has a great desire to do so. Before leaving, the five little angels, with tears in their eyes, addressed the Fund’s correspondent – “Auntie, Mom has no money to finish building this house. If kind people help us, to make at least just the ceiling and the floor, we promise that when we grow up and work, we will repay these people with kindness.” 

Irma, 33 years old (mother): The day goes by without a crumb in our mouths. Neither me with my husband nor my children. We eat stale bread with pepper that grows in the garden. My husband and I grew up in a poor family ourselves, and we know what poverty is. Nevertheless, we do not want our children to experience what we had to experience. My heart bleeds when we see the boys crying from hunger! I beg you – help us feed our sons! We do not even have a refrigerator to store food; the food spoils quickly. If your children, God forbid, were starving, what would you do? Would you beg? Maybe you would steal? Think about it for a minute. What would it be like to see your little son or daughter crying from hunger? 

Poor blind Darejan! She has no money for medicine and eye drops, but she worries about this last of all. The poor woman’s house is falling apart before her eyes: the floor has rotted and caved in, and when it rains, water flows from the ceiling in three streams. The windows are crumbling from old age, and instead of glass, there is plywood nailed on. A blind grandmother, her daughter and granddaughter survive on a pension and the child’s orphanage allowance. No matter how hard they try to repair the house and buy the necessary equipment, they will not be able to. All hope remains that the sad story of the family will touch hearts, and people will lend a helping hand. Let us do everything in our power to make life easier for our compatriots! No one is obliged by the laws of Georgia to help sick children and the disadvantaged! However, what a miracle of God it is when you and I have a chance to save the unfortunate. They have nowhere else to expect help except from us! 

Beautiful Barbara was born with a rare anomaly – one leg is shorter than the other by as much as 16 centimeters! She would like to run and jump like other children, but the girl can barely walk, leaning on her short leg. Barbara, 9 years old: You know, I love my short leg! Even though it hurts. I get tired quickly; I cannot walk for long, much less run. I hardly leave the house. Moreover, if I do, they carry me in their arms. I feel very sorry for my grandmother, because I’m heavy, she gets tired. Her back hurts afterwards. The Turkish clinic can help the child. The surgeon agreed to perform a complex operation. He gave guarantees that Barbara will not only be able to stand on her feet, but even run and play sports.

Badri (father, 54 years old): It was 4 in the morning when we heard a loud crack. I grabbed the sleeping children and ran outside. The day before the tragedy, we decided to move to the next room— perhaps we sensed something bad was coming. We went to sleep with fear, worrying that the ceiling might collapse on us. And the worst happened. Friends, these little angels can melt the hardest of hearts. How could anyone remain indifferent to such a plight?  Eight children are begging us for help. They don’t want to live in these terrible conditions; they just want to go home. Let’s unite and repair the roof for this family, who has given Georgia eight wonderful and decent children. 

This is Saba, a 5-year-old boy with cerebral palsy. He struggles to walk and crawls on his knees. Despite everything, he’s a very smart and emotional child. But fate wasn’t satisfied with just one cruel illness for this poor boy. Saba also has an open heart valve and strabismus. Kind-hearted people, now every hour counts. The child urgently needs massage therapy because his muscles are weakening by the day, and soon, once he falls to his knees, he might never be able to get up again. This means that Saba could be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. And he’s such a bright, clever boy… He will suffer, bedridden. Please, let’s not abandon this poor boy, left by his father. Any donation you can make, no matter how small, will make a big difference. Saba knows that a kind stranger will share his story with good-hearted people. This clever boy is full of hope.  Let’s not disappoint him. He’s already been let down once, and the wound from that heartbreak hasn’t healed yet.

How to live on the fifth floor without an elevator if you are a wheelchair user? Seriously ill Levan found himself literally trapped in his own home. For several years now, in order to go outside, a guy has been crawling down on his knees from the fifth floor, and then crawling up the same way. We believe that after hearing the story of Levan and his exhausted mother, you will tell your family, friends, neighbors about it, and repost it on social networks. Levan has all the opportunities to get back on his feet. Only this costs a lot of money, which the family does not have. Please, help! 

Gio (6 years old): “My little brother is 9 months old, mother’s milk is not enough for him, and he cries all day from hunger. What should we feed him? The only edible thing we have at home is stale bread. Little Nikoloz won’t be able to chew it, he doesn’t have any teeth yet. But mom has no money for anything else.” Mariam: “If someone has the opportunity to shelter us, to give us one room, I will be immensely grateful. Or, perhaps, there will be a kind person who will help with renting an apartment? We live in an emergency building that can collapse at any moment. What will happen to my children? And where will we go?” Just imagine for a moment that such a misfortune happened to you or your loved ones. What would you do? Help this unfortunate woman raise two sons for the future of our country, our beloved Georgia! There is no one to help her. Her father is dead, her mother is disabled, and she herself needs help. If you do not help such needy people as Mariam and her children, then who does?

This is 15-year-old Iosif. As a result of the doctors’ negligence, the child received a birth injury. As usual, no one was held accountable for the crippled life! And the boy who could now play football with our children, enjoy health and youth, oh horror, was completely paralyzed. For 15 years now, Iosif has been unable to walk, unable to speak, and suffers from epileptic seizures. Before the child underwent surgery to rehabilitate his joints, he could still move his legs with difficulty. After the surgery, the boy’s condition worsened, and his epileptic seizures increased. Look at the child’s hand, look at the inscription on his bracelet – “Give Life”. Joseph extended his tiny hand to the foundation’s correspondent and begged for help with his eyes. His heart seemed to sense that an unknown aunt had come to his hospital room to say to all of Georgia: “Give Iosif life”.

The child grows up in extreme poverty. But what torments the girl more than poverty is soul pain. After all, Lizi knows: if something happens to her mother, she will be left alone in this cruel world! Cruel, because she was rejected from birth by her closest people – her father and mother’s parents! Inhumans who did not want her to be born and forced her mother (can you imagine that, friends?) to kill the unborn child in the womb. And when Darejan refused to commit this terrible sin and did not commit murder, they left her without means, threw her out like a dog, with a small child in her arms, into the street! Animals! There is no excuse for them! Darejan (47 years old): “I can’t stand this hellish pain anymore. Sometimes I think about taking a rope and hanging myself, but I immediately remember my poor girl, who has no one in the world except me. I am very embarrassed to ask strangers, but I dare to do it as a desperate mother. I beg you, people: if I die, bring my girl a pair of warm shoes that your daughter no longer wears. I am an unfortunate mother in life and out of pity for my poor girl I won’t find rest even after death.”

This is 15-year-old Gigi. The child has had cerebral palsy since birth. He cannot walk, he cannot even stand for a second. The poor child crawls on his knees. And he cannot speak either, he only makes indistinct sounds. The little boy suffers and asks for help with his eyes. The child’s condition is complicated by microcephaly, which is a rare neurological disease. The child is a disabled person of the first group. According to doctors, as a result of appropriate treatment and surgery, the child will be able to move and speak. We have a chance to perform a miracle! This is exactly the case when we can show God our best human qualities!

The fact that Zakro is alive is a real miracle! The young man ended up in a wheelchair after a giant aneurysm ruptured and, as a result of a brain hemorrhage, he underwent a complex, multi-hour operation; surgeons had to remove half of his skull and then close his brain with a special mesh. Zakro spent a long time in a coma, and only his mother’s prayer and God’s blessing helped him stay alive! Please have mercy for the mother who has been suffering with her seriously ill child for 12 years! She begs the Lord to prolong her days so she can see her son take his first independent steps! After all, if she is gone, Zakro will be all alone in this world, and there will be no one to give him a glass of water! If you have read this post to the end, be sure to help the family! You simply cannot help but help after learning about such a terrible human grief! Pray for Zakro’s health! Lord, save and preserve him!

A mother, sick children and husband are at death’s door! There’s no money for medications, and the children are humiliated at school! Friends, the Lord gives us the opportunity to open our hearts and souls to Him! To do good deeds and help our fellow countrymen—children and adults—who have never seen a joyful day in their lives. A lump rises in the throat. Words are unnecessary here.

Dear people, this young woman has been rejected by everyone and abandoned in this world. She was rejected by her mother from the moment she was born. Since then, Lana has not experienced a single day of happiness in her life. Abnormal illness, poverty, hunger, humiliation… What has this poor woman done to deserve all this? She lived in a monastery for 4 years. Then, for certain reasons, she had to leave the monastery and has never looked back (the real reason was shared with the fund’s correspondent but requested to be kept confidential). Despite the unbearable hardships (both financial and medical), she has never lost her sense of dignity. Today, abandoned by everyone, Lana is dying quietly, without a sound. Just as no one rejoiced at her birth into this world, perhaps no one will mourn her passing. She may even go unnoticed…

Lali (Mother, 66 years old): “My son nearly died from pneumonia. We spent four and a half months in the hospital, and I never left Mamuka’s side, not for a minute.  He was on a ventilator. The doctors advised me to transfer him to a palliative care unit for terminal patients, but I refused” Here we see an example of selfless love and heroism from a simple Georgian woman—a Mother with a capital M. She cries bitterly because of her helplessness, and she’s embarrassed to ask for help, but she has no one else but us.  Help Lali save her only son, to whom she has devoted her entire life! Mamuka’s life is in our hands, friends! Each of you can help extend his days! 

Terrible things are happening, my friends! Eight-year-old Zauri has epilepsy. Can you imagine, the child hasn’t taken any medication for three months!!! Because his poor parents can’t afford either the pills or even food. They live in constant fear now, not knowing when Zauri might start having seizures and collapse dead. On behalf of myself and the Fund, I urge you: let’s give this family the warmth of our hearts and show how people in Georgia support each other, even when they are complete strangers! This is the essence of generosity—helping those you don’t know without expecting thanks in return!
  

Khatuna is 11 years old. She has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. She can’t walk or talk. The poor girl can’t even eat on her own. Oh God, how this small and delicate child suffers! Khatuna was born perfectly healthy. At one month old, after doctors gave her an injection, her condition worsened. In Georgia, there are countless cases where angelic boys and girls suffer due to the negligence and ignorance of doctors. And who holds them accountable? Their punishment is limited to the confiscation of their license for a month. Then they continue working, and who knows how many more children’s lives they will ruin. Kind people, the girl urgently needs a stem cell transplant and a special wheelchair! And do you know what could result from this operation? There is a great chance that the child will be able to talk and walk. This would mean that this little angel will be given a new lease on life, and you could rightfully consider yourselves her saviors! And our true Savior, as we always quote from the Bible, will extend His reliable hand to you in your own most challenging moments! For this miracle to happen, all it takes is to empathize with the suffering and pain of this unfortunate child and her mother.

The life timer is ticking! The young father has a malignant brain tumor, stage 4 glioma. The poor man went to work in Germany so his family wouldn’t lack a piece of bread. He worked a lot. Lately, he felt unusual weakness but didn’t quit his job, as he needed to support his family in Georgia. The legs of this huge man have become so thin. This is how cancer eats someone alive… Take care of your health, friends, and seek medical help or assistance from the Fund in time! We are always here for you! Unfortunately, Irakli has stage 4 cancer. Doctors cannot offer any hope for salvation. The seven-year-old girl understands that her father will soon fly to heaven, so she doesn’t leave his side for a second. Right now, the family needs money. They desperately need it for everything! Let’s help this daughter say goodbye to her father and the mother to her husband in a dignified way! And let’s take ongoing care of this soon-to-be orphaned family! The little girl and her mother need to know that in tough times, people in Georgia don’t abandon each other! How much longer Irakli will live and in what conditions he and his family will be – that depends only on us!

But she needs Western doctors and very expensive materials. Ani is too shy to ask for help with getting a prosthesis. “How can I bother strangers?” she whispered, bowing her head so that I, the reporter, wouldn’t see the tears in her eyes. Dear friends! At the Fund, we are confident that as you read these words, kind hearts will see in this lovely girl a daughter, a sister, or even a granddaughter.  By showing compassion, we can give a new life to this beautiful and shy Georgian girl. She will tell her children about the kindness of her compatriots, and most importantly, that only good deeds bring us closer to the Lord. No one in the world can do more for God! Help us, Lord!

I have never seen so many hopelessly unhappy, sick, and poor people in one family together before! Recently, this family already buried little Lazare. And now they are losing their second child… Elene has a critical vitamin D deficiency, and it causes numerous health problems for the child, but the family cannot afford to take her to a doctor due to poverty. However, dear readers, I must tell you the most important thing now. The child’s eyes are sad because she fears that her sister Barbara will die just like her brother Lazare. Elene loves her older sister more than she loves herself. “Aunt, did you come here because we can’t buy me medicine, and will you help us? I beg you, aunt, help my sister instead of me,” the child said, and a large tear rolled down her blue eyes. A grief-stricken mother now only hopes that kind people will save her Barbare. The child urgently needs a genetic test in Germany. The family, displaced from Sukhumi, doesn’t even have their own home to sell. They have nothing, absolutely nothing of their own.

You helped a widow with two children, significantly improved their living conditions. Gio and Nino are rejoicing and celebrating Boxing Day! Mrs. Manana is a nurse by profession. She dedicated her life to caring for others. But now she is alone. Alone with the illness, pain, and hardships that life has dealt her. She has no one to empathize with her, to give her water, or, as she says, to bury her. For more than a year, she has been unable to eat on her own. She can’t go to the bathroom or even approach the window to see the sun. She has no food, medicine, refrigerator, washing machine, gas, or heating. But first and foremost, she dreams of having a bed.
The bed in her home is an old broken sofa with books instead of legs. It’s impossible to lie on it.

Lazare: I don’t remember what I ate yesterday… Mom brings food from the free kitchen, but it’s not enough for everyone. There are four children in our family. Whoever gets to it first, eats. I didn’t get any because I was playing outside. So I stayed hungry. God forbid anyone should have to look into their own children’s hungry eyes every day and not be able to feed them. Let’s unite and help these wonderful children. We believe in your kindness and compassion! Doing good is easier than it seems!

This hug with her mom could be the last for the beautiful 16-year-old Maggie. How terrifying! Her loving mother has already died once – her heart stopped! And only a miracle brought her back to life! Now her heart is kept beating by a pacemaker! But for how long? Meet Zhanna, friends: she is 44 years old. Not long ago, the heart of this still young woman suddenly stopped! It stopped completely, and death approached.  The ambulance brought her, almost dead, to the hospital. Her only 16-year-old daughter wept bitterly over the loss of her mother. And then the Lord worked a miracle – a true miracle, and the doctors who witnessed it kept crossing themselves for a long time afterward!  The doctors performed emergency surgery and implanted a pacemaker. Zhanna urgently needs repeat heart surgery; otherwise, her chances of survival are less than one percent. However, cursed poverty prevents the unfortunate mother from getting this urgent surgery. Medications temporarily sustain the desperate woman, but meager social allowance does not even allow her to buy the medications! According to the documents, the value of a Georgian woman’s life has been set at $8,300—money the unfortunate woman has never even seen.

Can you imagine a dying, still young 41-year-old woman, gravely ill with a constant temperature of 39–40 degrees, sometimes managing to get out of bed to collect scrap metal just to buy medicine for herself and her severely ill children, and of course, some food? At least for them – for the children – she loves more than life! A horror that cannot be described in words! God forbid any of us to experience such a thing!!! We ask the friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund to respond and take this family’s plight as their own! The most important thing God has allowed us to do in this life is not to pass by someone else’s misfortune! 
First and foremost, we need to take care of the mother. If something happens to her, God forbid, we will never forgive ourselves!  It’s unimaginable how the sick children will cope without their mother. Mom is sacred to them, that’s all they have.

18-year-old Lika, along with her three sisters and devastated mother, are crying out to our hearts and to God for help! Lika’s imminent death has a name – the terrible disease of Alzheimer’s! If we don’t help now, it could take her any day! Four years ago, a neighbor’s boy accidentally threw a stone to knock an apple from a tree, hitting Lika’s central nerve in her head. Poor child! She immediately lost consciousness and fell to the ground in terrible convulsions. That day, her joyful childhood ended.  From then on, the Tsukhishvili family’s life turned into a living hell. Lika needs expensive medication and, of course, a thorough examination in Turkey! Together, we have already saved many children in our country. We refuse to believe the verdict of Georgian doctors! May the Lord help restore Lika to a full life! But without us, His hands won’t touch the unfortunate one!

Reziko cries without ceasing. It’s not even a cry, it’s more of a moan from the pain in his spine. He can’t lie down or sit for long periods. The boy is constantly tense and can’t even straighten his fingers. It’s hard to believe, but Reziko was born perfectly healthy. Due to a medical mistake, he became disabled in an instant. Gulo (mother, 33 years old): Reziko is my first and long-awaited son. He was our joy. He grew up to be a smart boy, but when he was eight months old, he got very sick and his ears hurt a lot… I’m sorry, I can’t tell this story without tears. There’s a lump in my throat.

Even in her worst nightmares, the young 27-year-old caring mother, Gvantsa Tvlidiani, could not have imagined that, in the prime of her life, she would one day find herself with her beloved sons and daughters in a crumbling, dilapidated house in the Shanghai settlement near Tbilisi. Seven children, the youngest just 4 months old, live with rats in a room where the ceiling has collapsed. Flies and poisonous wasps are everywhere, ready to sting the poor little ones at any moment. Six children sleep with their mother on one old bed, while baby Jaki sleeps in a basket serving as a cradle. The house has no bathroom or toilet.
