Julietta Koshadze has been
suffering of severe pain for 16 years. No painkillers help, and she cannot move
independently. Julietta is only 61 years old, but the excruciating pain has
made her bedridden. This woman, living with her daughter and two young
grandchildren, is leading miserable existence in a single room of a dilapidated
house. 

We talked to Juliet Koshadze about her
needs and the difficulties, which have been accompanying her for many years.
She tries to smile, but she hardly can do this, the pain does not stop, and
looking at the wall where an icon of our Saviour Jesus Christ is hanging, she
softly whispers something.

 – Julietta, how did you get your
spinal injury?

Julietta: 16 years ago, I fell from
the second floor; I survived it, but since then I am helpless, I cannot move on
my own, and terrible pain torments me.

– Do you live alone?

Julietta: I live with my daughter and
grandchildren, my husband died long ago.

– What do you do for living?

Julietta: My daughter can’t work, she
takes care of me. We live from social allowance and a pension, and it suffices
only for basic food, medicines and utilities. 

– Does the Deputy of your constituency
and the City Hall help you? 

Julietta: The Social Service Agency
helps me with medicines, and the Tbilisi City Hall has financed a computer
examination of my spine.

– How does our Fund help you?

Julietta: I am very grateful to your
Fund; the staff visits me very often and brings medicines; your doctors have
examined me and now they are monitoring whether the course of treatment is
correct. God grant health and happiness to all your team.

– What do you need at the moment?

Julietta: I really need medicines,
food, hygiene products, and clothes for me and children.

– What do you dream of and what do you
hope for?

Julietta: I dream that these terrible
pains would stop, and that my children would be healthy. I hope for the Lord, I
pray that he would hear my prayers and make my life easier, and of course, I
hope for the kindness of people.
