Friends, tragedy has struck a Georgian family—the Kvinikadzes. A sudden fire engulfed their home. The desperate cries of the children— “Help us!” —seemed to reach the heavens. Maybe they truly did. Because somehow, miraculously, the children were saved from being consumed by the flames. But little Nikoloz, just two years old, still bears the scars of the fire on his legs. Local authorities promised to help rebuild the hous next to the ruins, but the family has lost all hope. And you might be wondering—why? Why have they lost faith that the state will keep its word? Because after losing everything, the family turned to local authorities for urgent aid – just 1,500 GEL to help them get by. They were promised this amount, but they are still waiting. And so, they have no reason to believe that help will come. Their only hope now is you. To be fair, the Gori local government has been covering the rent for the seven-member family, who are temporarily living in a cramped two-room apartment. But for how long? And how can these children continue  living in such conditions? Even if you donate just one lari, it will bring these little angels one step closer to having a home again – no matter how small.

Lamara can’t go a minute without her mother’s help. She is 14 years old, but she can neither walk, nor stand, nor sit. Since childhood, the girl has been confined to a wheelchair and … to her mother. Yes, the poor mother’s lower back is paralyzed, but she is ready to carry her daughter in her arms as long as she lives.

Lali (Mother, 66 years old): “My son nearly died from pneumonia. We spent four and a half months in the hospital, and I never left Mamuka’s side, not for a minute.  He was on a ventilator. The doctors advised me to transfer him to a palliative care unit for terminal patients, but I refused” Here we see an example of selfless love and heroism from a simple Georgian woman—a Mother with a capital M. She cries bitterly because of her helplessness, and she’s embarrassed to ask for help, but she has no one else but us.  Help Lali save her only son, to whom she has devoted her entire life! Mamuka fell into a ravine from a height of 30 meters. The base of his skull was fractured, and his spine shattered. Although Georgian doctors managed to save his life, his injuries were so severe that treatment abroad became necessary. Friends, what I’m about to tell you will break your heart. Our brave Georgian spent only three days in a Turkish clinic. Now, he lies in a tiny hostel room in Turkey, still fighting for his life. Do you know why? Because his poor mother ran out of money to pay for the hospital… You can guess what happened next. For over a month, this son of Georgia has been suffering in a shabby room far from home, enduring constant pain. His only caregiver in this battle is his mother. Mamuka is completely paralyzed…

A tragedy that will be remembered for centuries. It all began many years ago, on a snowy winter day, when a lonely, widowed old woman in the village of Chognari was visited by her only son from Kaliningrad (where he was serving in the army). Her son got married there. Grandmother Tamila welcomed her daughter-in-law as her own daughter. But the most important part is yet to come. When Grandma Tamila saw her son holding a one-year-old boy with big eyes, she immediately knew it was her grandson, and she almost lost her mind with happiness. But her joy turned out to be premature. The boy was underdeveloped, he could not walk.

Every parent knows that nothing is more terrifying than seeing your own child suffer from an illness. Watching your baby in pain and being powerless to help is unbearable.
