"I beg you, please don't cry over me," says Tamara. "I'm still alive and I believe that I'm not alone among my Georgian compatriots! There is still a chance to get me on my feet The only problem is that my mom doesn't have any money at all! She's even more unfortunate than I am. This cursed fibroma is dragging her into the grave!! And yet, despite the doctors' strict ban, she continues to carry me around! Why does she deserve such sorrow? She's just an ordinary Georgian woman!"

Tamara: "If ten years ago I knew about your foundation and the kindness of the people who surround you all over Georgia, I wouldn't be paralyzed now!   And I'm a girl! And my soul hurts so much!"

"I beg you, please don't cry over me,"  says Tamara."I'm still alive and I believe that I'm not alone among my Georgian compatriots! There is still a chance to get me on my feet The only problem is that my mom doesn't have any money at all! She's even more unfortunate than I am.This cursed fibroma is dragging her into the grave!! And yet, despite the doctors' strict ban, she continues to carry me around! Why does she deserve such sorrow? She's just an ordinary Georgian woman!"

Lali (Mother): “I carry my Tamara in my arms. When I had surgery, they told me not to lift heavy weights... It is extremely dangerous for me!”

"For eight years, Tamar underwent rehabilitation, and during that period, she was able to stand on her feet, even taking a few steps," says Lali. "But as soon as the treatment stopped, her condition started deteriorating.Now she can't even stand up on her own! How to live? How? Sometimes we don't even have enough money for bread!After the 1991 earthquake, our house turned into ruins!   You don't even have a bathroom. I bathe Tamara in a basin right in the room. And the bed she lies on… Look, it's terrible!  And the child spends most of the day on it!"

And here is the kitchen of two sick women!  In winter, there is ice here sometimes!  That's why it serves as a refrigerator...

"I'm just an ordinary girl. And like all girls, I live my dreams! My main dream is to get up one day and do something to help my mommy! Help me with this, though I have nothing to thank you with—except that  I will pray for every good person in Georgia!!!! I have a lot of energy and time for this!"

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

"Look, this poor thing is going somewhere again... Oh, she should have stayed home and not gone out... Her poor mother! How unlucky she is with her child. How does she even survive such sorrow?" - With these words, completely unfamiliar people mourn me and my mom," says 16-year-old Tamara with annoyance and sadness. She has enough of her own illnesses, but mean people manage to hurt her even more!

Lali (Mother): I did everything possible within my power. We only had enough money for a few years of treatment. I took her to various procedures, massages for 8 years! And we got results - Tamara took a few steps. But then everything went wrong. I was diagnosed with fibroids, and I needed surgery. After that, I couldn't carry her anymore, and there was no money left. Everything was in vain.

Now Tamara is immobile. She can't do anything on her own. She can't even drink water. And there's no one to help.Both my husband's and my parents died early, and our relatives have their own problems, they have no time for us. Sometimes there are days when we haven’t even bread. Our only income is Tamara's pension - 390 lari.

"There are days when our daughter's pension runs out, and we don't even have anything to eat."

- What about allowance?

Lali: We have high scores and are not eligible for an allowance. Tamara used to receive it, but since she turned 16, they disqualified her. My husband and I worked for a year under a social program. I was a cleaner, and my husband worked as a janitor. It was, you could say, the "golden age" of our lives. Funny, but it's a bitter truth. But then the program ended, and we were left with nothing. So I decided to address you. Oh God, why didn't I know about you before?!

"Tamara is the meaning of life for us. We do everything possible for her. But as the years go by, it becomes harder for both me and my husband to lift her."

"My legs are deformed. I don't feel them, and that's for the best. No sensitivity - no pain!"

- What are your most urgent needs right now?

Lali: Look at our house. It's in terrible condition. In 1991, it was almost destroyed during the earthquake. We don't even have a bathroom. I bathe Tamara in a basin right in the room. It's so inconvenient. And the bed she lies on is just a nightmare! It's old metal bed that creaks.

Tamara: I also have one big request. I don't know how possible it is, but if you could give me a tablet or a phone, there wouldn't be a happier person on the planet than me. And a comfortable bed. And I also want to address people. May I?

- Sure! We have a large audience; you can say whatever you wish!

Tamara: I want people to understand that we are just like everyone else. It's uncivilized to stare at us, bulging your eyes, and pointing fingers at us. I'm not offended by it, but for someone, it could become a reason for depression. It would be great if schools paid more attention to the issue of people with disabilities. People should know that we are not contagious, that communicating with us is just as good as with others, and that we really lack simple human warmth!

"Dad built ramps so that I wouldn't feel like I'm in prison and could enjoy the beauty of nature."

- I admire you! You're such a strong girl!

Tamara: Not at all! I'm just an ordinary girl. I just love life. Sometimes I think, what would I be like if I could walk? Probably just ordinary! But now I'm extraordinary! It's all inside us! someone might think they're weak, that things aren't working out, but then they'll look at me and say, 'If she could do it, I can too.'I'm like a motivation for others. Look, I'm participating in a play. There are a few kids there who can't read. But even that's not scary, I'm teaching them! I help them learn their roles! See, even I can help someone.

'Don't create a prison for yourself! Even I can help others, and you certainly can too.'

Lali: See what she's like? It's her spirit that keeps me going. Most people in her situation would have given in to despair. They wouldn't leave the house, wouldn't talk to anyone. They'd just sit and mourn their fate, their miserable life in poverty. But Tamara - she's like sunshine! She's pure joy! She's so strong, she can uplift anyone. I don't know what's going on inside her, but she tells me she's completely at ease.

Tamara is a young girl bound to a wheelchair, but her spirit is unbreakable. Her story is evidence that even in the most challenging circumstances, one can find the strength to live a full life.

Despite physical limitations, Tamara leads an active lifestyle, participating in theatrical performances and helping children with disabilities. However, her family faces financial difficulties, making their struggle even more unbearable.

'See the world through my eyes.'

Tamara faces difficulty being accepted by society, despite her unique qualities. She is not alone in this struggle.

We want you, friends, to see the world through Tamara's eyes, to imagine yourselves in her place and ask yourselves, “What would help me now, what would bring me the greatest joy?”

What help is needed:

- Tamara needs a comfortable orthopedic bed;

- a comfortable wheelchair;
