In the 21st century in Georgia, much like in times long past, some children have to struggle for their lives and a piece of bread, as if they were savages in the jungles of Africa. Today, our heroes are a large family with seven children, ranging from infants to teenagers, who go hungry and are compelled to live in an arbitrarily occupied building without windows, doors, or basic amenities.

LORD, PROTECT EVERYONE WHO HELPED US!  THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND AND COMPASSIONATE SOULS!

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

The little ones are feeling so much joy, tenderness, and gratitude!

“You know what? We've got duck in the fridge, - Gio excitedly shares. We're all curious about how it tastes. One of our guests brought it. And guess what? He also brought canned meat, buckwheat, and candies. He said that he's a reader named Zaza. I was just thinking about checking out who these readers are. Because they brought us a fridge - Mom says it's from the readers. Beds? Also from the readers. Even the windows are courtesy of the readers, you know? Finally, I got to see what they look like!”

- And what do they look like?

Gio: They're not greedy; they want to share. They smile a lot and are kind, just like Zaza.

- Are there many of them in Georgia?

Gio: A lot!

In new, beautiful clothes, even the mood is cheerful!

- Kids, what else did the Fund's readers share with you?

Mariam: Beautiful and nice clothes.  They read that I really wanted sportswear, and they sent it. Also, a new jacket and a dress so that I could look pretty for the New Year. I took a nice photo by our Christmas tree in the center of Sagarejo.

Gio: And they shared bikes with me and Dato. These readers know everything about me: what size bike I need, what I'd like to eat. Did you tell them I wanted a barbecue?  For my birthday, Mom got some meat, and we made barbecue. I love it!  Mom also got lobio, pasta, peas, chocolate... Uncle Zaza brought some things, and others brought different stuff.  The social worker gave money to Mom, but at first, she made her nervous.

Gio: "Readers, are the people who love to share with everyone. They even shared bicycles with me and Datuna!"

Lia, the mom: Let me tell you. But first let me tell you about the people who came. Besides Zaza, whom my son already mentioned, by the way, he's from Western Georgia, a wonderful person, we also had people from the organization 'From Heart to Heart' who brought groceries and household chemicals.  The kids were happy; besides bread and meager soups from the free canteen, they hadn't seen anything else.

Oh, these social workers! They didn't like that you reached them through the People's Defender.  They gave us a one-time assistance of 600 lari, but with so much stress and headaches! They threatened to take the children away, insisting that we didn't have proper housing conditions. We barely got away from them!

With those hard-won funds, I filled our new refrigerator with groceries. .  Previously, we couldn't save any food; everything spoiled. I cooked separately in the morning and separately during the day Now it's very convenient, and I don't get tired.

Mariam: “The refrigerator and the duck in the freezer were gifts from the readers.”

- Kids, is the house warmer now after the windows were installed? What do you think?

Gio: I used to only warm up at the kindergarten. And at home, it was freezing. But now, it feels nice.

Gio: “Finally, I'm warm! It used to be as cold as ice!'

Mari: I only warmed up at school. At home, my hands and feet were icy. But now, it's good.'

Anano (3 years old): Warm...

Manuchar, the head of the family:  My heartfelt thanks for these windows!  You installed PVC windows in four rooms and the same door in the corridor. This is a huge help for me; you've taken such good care of the family. I want to hug each and every one of you with all my heart! You are my brothers and sisters!  I wish health and prosperity to all of you!

In four rooms, there are new PVC windows.

- Datuna, which gift did you like the most?

Datuna: The bed and the bicycle.

Lia: The children are so happy that you "settled" them, and each one sleeps in their own bed. Peacefully and freely.

Before, all the children used to sleep on a single bed (!). But now there's a bedroom for the girls and a bedroom for the boys!

Anano doesn't talk much yet, but she showed how much she likes the new beds.

The joy is so lively and fleeting!

Anano came to sit on the boys' beds.

Lia: I bless you for so many good deeds!   I will remember my whole life how you warmed us and saved seven of my children from the cold! You couldn't bear their suffering and tears, our desperation with my husband. People were shocked when they saw our living conditions. Some could barely hold back tears when they called. Thank you for your kind and compassionate souls! Will I ever forget how you cared for us?!  For my little daughters and sons. Every day, I pray to the Lord and the Mother of God for you... And to Saint George, and Saint Nino, and Father Gabriel... You helped us so much and gave us great hope! I want to achieve everything through my work so as not to trouble people again. Help us, Lord!

- Lia, you still have many unresolved problems. Bathing is still a torment.   No gas, no electricity, no water...

Lia: I want to ask you to help us with the bathroom and toilet so that we can finish this matter.  My husband earned enough for cement, and we can't afford more.  Pipes need to be installed, a drain trap... So many things... And life doesn't wait, the children need to bathe... They bathe in a basin... It really bothers me...

You helped an amazing Georgian family cope with winter, saving seven children from freezing. Their trust in people has deepened, and there's now an abundance of joy, tenderness, and gratitude in their hearts. Even in the face of persistent challenging living conditions - no electricity, gas, water, and lacking a proper home -  remarkable achievements are made with the collective support of the entire world, all of Georgia, and with the blessings of the Lord!  We encourage you to continue offering your support, confident that positive outcomes will unfold.

If you have a heavy heart because of everyday problems or unresolved issues, as a distraction just see our posts on Facebook, or better call any of our beneficiaries, and all your problems will seem unimportant to you, compared with the problems of those to whom you helped in the most difficult moment of their lives.

Our problems are nothing if compared... Here are true misfortunes, in front of your eyes! Just thank the Lord for what you have. You are the happiest person in the world! Remember this and help those in need.

If any of you, dear friends, has such a generous heart and income to take permanent guardianship over this family, we'll spread the word, and all of Georgia will know about this person! In just a couple of months, there will be no more duck or delicious pastries! Lord, help us! According to statistics, there are up to 100,000 people, if not more, living in such families in Georgia! We will also do our best not to forget! But finding the right people is truly challenging...

Unfortunately, problems of this and other families do not end here and now... Therefore, from time to time, look through the stories of unhappy people on our website, talk to them. Every time you dial the Phone of an unhappy person, God is blessing you! For sure! Go on helping these families! This is the best service to the Lord!

Friends, there is one more request: if you know about the misfortune of a neighbor or friend do a godly deed, drop us an email at: office-fsp@fsp.ge.
