„Our house cries when it rains. It will die soon, right?“ - thinks out loud a four-year-old baby girl

The house where the large Makharashvili family lives is very old and is about to collapse. The roof leaks - it pours inside just like outside. Four-year-old Salome puts her tiny hands under the water flowing from the ceiling and tells us: “Watch how quickly they fill up. My house is crying. It will die soon. When it rains and winds at night, I don’t sleep because I’m afraid.”

Mommy says that many Georgians love us!
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!
“It was the first New Year when we felt joy, when we realized that we could expect a happy future! This year, we felt the love of the Georgian people the most.” Says Lia with tears in her eyes.
The Lord says that when a hungry stranger knocks on our door, we must open the door, let him in and share the bread with him - because this stranger is God himself. We must also see Him in every needy person. When we help others, we help the Lord and, most importantly, we help our souls. Friends, we know that it is this faith that brings you to us.
“Mom said that this New Year, we will be happy too!”
The words of the little ones living in hunger and poverty broke our hearts. House, which was falling apart, babies eating greens, their sick parents waiting for meager social allowance - that was their reality, which we saw together, and which we could not pass by.
       - Lia, faces of all of you are shining - what is the reason for this?
Lia: We are always very happy when you visit us! Our best “news” is you and the people who have taken care of us.
Lord, how many good people are there in Georgia! Some of them do not reveal their names and do not wait for gratitude ...
“They brought us so many sweets that it will be enough for all of us. We will no longer quarrel that you got more, and I got less ... "
          - As far as I see, you received a lot of gifts, and many strangers visited you. Tell us about it.
Lia: We have not been this happy on the New Year holidays in a long time. Moreover, it was at this time when sadness oppressed me, and tears choked me even more. It is unbearable when you cannot even buy chocolate for your kids! And this year I want to shout for joy because I have firewood, hot bread, a Christmas tree, and a bunch of gifts. Your Fund brought us a new, beautiful gas stove. It has an oven too. I will bake bread. I’ll save a lot so. Bread is very expensive...
“From today, I can bake bread at home!”
Salome: Mom bakes delicious bread for us in this oven. And I help her. They also brought us a washing machine. Santa sent it to us by a car with birds.
“Look how white and beautiful it is. Look how much and how fast it spins: one, two, three ... You can’t even count ..."
Saba: Santa could not come on his sleigh - there was no snow, so he sent us a car with birds. (He means the Fund’s car). I really liked it…
Giorgi: They brought me a table. I did not have it. I put books, notebooks on my knees and wrote like that. Now I sit down at the table and study. It's so big it can fit a hundred books!
"I can put a lot of books on my new table"
        - Guys, what other gifts were in the “car with birds” and what you were most happy about?
Salome: I liked a soft bear and a washing machine. I named the bear Bubu. Let's go, I'll show you how big it is ... Do you want me to show you the washing machine?
“I have the cutest teddy bear in the world."
Saba: I liked the toy-transformer. If you press the remote control once, it's a car, if you press it twice, it's a robot. It is like me. Because sometimes am a good boy, and sometimes - a bad one!
“What a cool Santa! How did he guess that I wanted exactly such a car?”
“To be honest, I don’t know what I was more happy about - sweets or a car...”
        - And why are you bad, Sabuka?
Saba: Because I annoy my mother. Sometimes she cries because of me.
        - Does your mother cry often?
Saba: When I want her to buy me something and she doesn't buy it, I cry, and she cries. And then I'm a bad boy too...
        - Try not to make your mother upset...
Saba: I'll try if Santa doesn't pout on me anymore.
         - Lia, have you made any new friends? Who visited you, who helped you?
Lia: All who have taken our problems to heart are our friends. Very nice people visited us. After the publication of the post, a girl named Nini was the first to come to visit us. She brought us a bunch of food: flour, sunflower oil, potatoes… And most importantly, firewood. I thank you from here too, Nini, I want everyone to know that you are a real angel! You saved us from the cold! Thank you for such kindness. May the Lord bless you. A brother and sister from a countryside also came to visit us. They also brought us food. Lord, bless the parents who brought up such good children, bless their families
Salome: Do you know what they also brought?
        - I don’t!
Salome: A Christmas tree! Balls ... Tinsel ... Look, we have already decorated it, and it should always be so beautifully decorated. Maybe we'll leave it that way for the summer.
“Try how it crunches”
Saba: Ha, ha, ha... Where’d you ever hear about Christmas tree in summer?
Salome: What should I look at in the summer? If we had a TV, I would watch cartoons... But it does not work.
        - Will you celebrate the New Year without TV?
Lia: It got damaged a long ago...
Salome's eyes shine with happiness. She is grateful to you
        - Lia, did the local authorities respond? Did any of their representatives visit you?
Lia: If they responded in the same way as our kind people do, it would be good ... Our house is about to collapse. I don't know whether it will survive this winter. I pray not to find ourselves under its ruins. Children are afraid of wind and rain. You can hear scary sounds. The walls shake. Local Administration promised us to fix it two years ago. But there are no changes yet. Promises remain just promises. Sometimes I think that empty promises are the disease of all Georgian officials. Dear government, deputies! You will not be able to feed anyone with your promises, and you will not be able to cure anyone with them! Do you think that it is the merit of your social programs that we do not starve to death in Georgia! You're wrong! I wonder how would you live on the pennies that you give us? If it were not for ordinary people who take our misfortune to heart and unselfishly help us, we would have died long ago! Unlike you, they do it not for elections and votes, but for us and for God! God bless such people - good friends, good neighbors... Or just a kind stranger who puts good on a stone and leaves!
* * *
It's hard not to agree with Lia. It is also true that today most of the population of Georgia lives in poverty, that the number of socially disadvantaged people grows every day. A human cannot exist on the social allowance only, especially if he is sick. And if it were not for our kindness, support for each other, Georgian love and faith, we would have died out long ago.
We believe that you will keep supporting the families in need we tell you about many times over. The Makharashvili family is one of them. They are still waiting for you with hope and love.
If you have a heavy heart because of everyday problems or unresolved issues, as a distraction just see our posts on Facebook, or better call any of our beneficiaries, and all your problems will seem unimportant to you, compared with the problems of those to whom you helped in the most difficult moment of their lives.
Our problems are noting if compared... Here are true misfortunes, in front of your eyes! Just thank the Lord for what you have. You are the happiest person in the world! Remember this and help those in need.
Unfortunately, problems of this and other families do not end here and now... Therefore, from time to time, look through the stories of unhappy people on our website, talk to them. Every time you dial the Phone of an unhappy person, God is blessing you! For sure! Go on helping these families! This is the best service to the Lord!
Friends, there is one more request: if you know about the misfortune of a neighbor or friend do a godly deed, drop us an email at: office,fsp@fsp.ge
Your kindness is a chance for yourself to be happy in everything.
