The most miserable people in the world live in Georgia – in Gori, in a home that feels more like a crypt than a house. Here, poisonous mold grows on the walls instead of wallpaper – slowly killing everything alive. As a reporter, I don’t usually believe in demons. But within minutes of stepping inside, I was convinced: this is a place where Satan himself has taken up residence. Every day, he feeds off the suffering of kind, helpless people – tormenting a once-young Georgian couple and turning them into old and broken souls before their time.

This family’s story is a true tragedy, dear friends. And it will take all of us, together, to bring a ray of divine light back into their home. Meet the deeply unfortunate Jeiranashvili family. At the edge of the couch sits 48-year-old Tina. She was still young when her first child died – because of a doctor’s negligence. Her second child… a long-awaited, beautiful little angel named Khatia, suffers from a severe brain injury. The poor girl can’t say a single word. And if she doesn’t receive treatment soon, her condition will worsen: her hormones will become imbalanced, her facial hair will grow… It’s horrifying. Even just one lari donated by you will make a big difference and ensure that this horrible room is first disinfected, wallpapered, and that the floor is laid, so that rain and wind no longer come through the broken windows. Later, we will share videos with you so you can see for yourself that it was you who saved this doomed family. This great kindness will surely return to you on the most difficult path of your life. Nothing goes without a trace…

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Tina (That’s how she looked like, when she gave birth to Khatia)

Her husband – an Abkhazian war veteran – rock a doll to sleep every night, singing lullabies as if it were their real child…

Just look at how sorrow and injustice have aged Khatia’s 54-year-old father, Otar. He looks like a 90-year-old man.

He fought on the front lines in Abkhazia, never afraid of death.

He survived war… but not the cruelty of life.

Those lullabies they sing? They were meant for a real child. May the soul of that angel rest in peace.

The only ray of hope for a mother who had lost her first child was her second daughter, Khatia. But life turned out to be cruel.

Khatia is already 26 years old, and no one knows what her voice sounds like. Oh… The girl can not only talk, she can’t even make sounds. Khatia has a severe brain injury. Because of her condition, she developed a hormonal imbalance, which caused hair to grow on her face and led to significant weight gain. But when the girl was born, she was so delicate—like a real angel. No voice. Not even a sound. Who could have imagined that her life would become a living hell?

Now, dear readers, maybe you understand why Tina clutches a doll to her chest. Yes, you understood that right. Tina’s dream is to experience motherhood – just once. They even pray that, before they die, the doll might somehow say one word to them: “Mama.”

Khatia can’t move.  She can’t walk. She can’t eat or bathe by herself. It’s beyond heartbreaking. How long can her sick parents hold on? And who will care for her when they’re gone? She has no one in this world.

And the mold on the walls is killing them slowly.

This simple image says it all. You can see the father’s pain in his eyes.  Unlike mothers, fathers often hide their tears and hold their sorrow deep inside.  They try to appear strong… but the pain of a child’s suffering is unbearable. Yes, this is Khatia’s father—54-year-old Otar. But his face, scarred by life’s cruelty, looks like that of a 90-year-old man.

Yes, this is a father who has never experienced a joy of fatherhood. He is a father who never once heard the word “Daddy.” He gently cradles his daughter’s doll and dares to hope: “Maybe… maybe the doll will say ‘Daddy’ someday.” Oh God… just the thought of it chills the blood.

Can this place even be called a home? A dark 15-square-meter room, its walls covered in mold that poisons those who live there. No one should be staying in such a place. But what choice does this unfortunate family have? They have nowhere else to go. When the Fund’s reporter entered the Jeiranashvili family’s home, the first thought that crossed her mind was: “Oh God, it smells like death in here.”

And she was right. In this dreadful, dark room, it feels as if you can hear the terrifying “laughter” of death, consuming the lives of those who dwell there. But before taking them to the other side, it torments them with a hellish existence.

The Jeiranashvili family’s ancestors also lived through terrible fates. However, I won’t burden you with their story, dear reader. I’ll just say this: it seems someone cursed this family, and that curse is passed down from generation to generation.

Look into the eyes of the poor mother – they’re full of kindness and compassion, despite a life of suffering and abandonment by people.

Tina (48 years old): Cursed be the day I was born into this world. Why was I even born??? Did God really send me here only to suffer? I was born with a hip condition and had trouble walking, but because of our poverty, my parents couldn’t afford treatment, and my condition worsened.  Now I’m a Group II disabled person. Even with a cane, it’s hard for me to move around.

When I got married and gave birth to my baby – an angel – I forgot all my pain in that happiness. But because of doctors’ negligence, death took my poor child.

Tina: There is nothing more terrifying than the “status” of a mother whose child has died. But then I got pregnant again, and when Khatia was born 26 years ago, joy returned to me – the mother of a deceased child. My happiness was short-lived. They determined that Khatia’s brain was so damaged that she is essentially paralyzed in every way. Yes, for 26 years now, every day I wish for only one thing – that I don’t leave this world before my daughter calls me “Mom.”

Did you notice? The poor husband and wife laid cardboard over the broken bed? Even a stray dog wouldn’t be able to sleep there.

Kind people, we at the Fund are sure that you won’t leave this poor family with that bed. The Jeiranashvili family lives like they’re in the Stone Age. Remember, household items, furniture, appliances, and food are vitally necessary for them.

Behind these terrifying windows is another life. People walk joyfully on the street, strolling, laughing, and they don’t even notice, don’t even imagine, that behind the windows, a sick 26-year-old girl and her poor parents sit without a piece of bread, living in conditions worse than a cowshed.

The mold that has overtaken the walls poisons the body so much that survival here is simply impossible.

This television, bought in the 1990s and broken, is the only “luxury item” in this family.

The unfortunate mother goes to the forested riverbank to gather kindling. However, the woman is disabled and limps so badly that she can barely take a step. But mothers will do the impossible for their children.

The poor woman cares for both the paralyzed Khatia and her husband.

The poor man, a war veteran, unfortunately has serious head problems. He is weak and counts his painful days, waiting for death… Sometimes, Khatia thinks that this doll is her child and tries to feed it, change its clothes. Oh… Does the poor girl even know that she’ll never be a mother?

My God, on Easter, the poor family couldn’t buy any Easter cakes or eggs. Despite this, their hearts were filled with love for God.

Friends of the Fund, without your kindness, this poor 26-year-old girl and her weary parents face a slow and agonizing death. Do they deserve this? They are children of the Lord too.

The mold that has overtaken the walls poisons the body so much that survival here is simply impossible. On top of this, hunger, cold, and disease add to their suffering.
