Lord, have mercy on this Georgian boy of ours! Relieve him from this unbearable suffering!
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Gio has a permanent catheter in his bladder. If it’s removed for even 10 minutes, he can lose consciousness, collapse, and go into convulsions. He is so embarrassed in front of his friends who have never even heard of catheters and often don’t even know where the bladder is. So they tease him, call him names so cruel that life itself stops feeling worth living.
His only friend on the football field is his – 70-year-old grandmother. She stands at the goal. Her substitute? A 80-year-old grandfather.
370 kilometers from Tbilisi, in the remote village of Ude in the Adigeni municipality, lives a wonderful family. But everyone there is either elderly or a child! There’s no future for the children. And the elderly? For them, getting sick at the edge of the world is the worst – there’s no treatment, no money for medicine. Thank God at least the father hasn’t abandoned the family. He works day and night as a welder, but earns only pennies. A real man, fighting as hard as he can.
The large Abuladze family lives in poverty: mother Nona (39), father Pavel (49), and their children – Mariam (21), Natia (19), Elguja (14), Liza (12), Giorgi (9), and little Nitsa (1).
Living with them in the same house are the grandmother, Mariam (70), and the grandfather, Elguja (80).
A frail, elderly grandmother, who can barely walk, selflessly plays football with her grandson. bending her aching knees, her heart ready to burst at any moment. But her grandson is worth more than life itself. Lord, thank you for Georgian grandmothers!
Gio feels ashamed to play football with his friends because he has to carry a urine bag. What a nightmare for a child.
This is how true Georgians live, far from civilization – the last keepers of authentic Georgian culture and spirit. And then, quietly, they leave us… Beautiful, hospitable people, who have never spoken any language but their native Georgian. They are, in essence, our brothers and sisters, yet unwanted in their own country…
If we help them, they will live much longer and their family line will continue. If we pass them by, they will disappear as if they never walked on Georgian soil.
Here he is – 9-year-old Giorgi, whose illness and poverty have stolen his childhood.
Remember how, as children, we longed for cold water on a hot day? Now it’s just as hot, but Gio can’t drink a drop — the urine will start to build up, and with it comes pain.” And without the bag, there’s nowhere for it to go. It’s frightening to think that Georgian doctors still haven’t found the cause of his suffering.
We must get Giorgi to Turkey as soon as possible. There, they will not let him die. At the Fund, we are already checking the doctors’ qualifications. Good luck to you, Giorgi! You are such a gentle and beautiful child.
Giorgi’s disease is most likely treatable. But not in Georgia. And this good family probably has no idea that there is a Ministry of Health and loud programs to help the poor. We are their ministry. We are their hope. Perhaps if someone “up top” reads this post, they will come and do something. But lives like this can only be changed with the heart – by feeling their pain and becoming close to them.
Isn’t it awful to carry around a heavy bag constantly filling with urine? It is just an ordinary plastic bag. And what if it bursts? What if there are people around?
Giorgi walks in a way to avoid meeting anyone. But isn’t this his land – Georgia? It’s yours, son. And soon you will be free of that cursed plastic bag.

Giorgi (9-year-old): “When I hear children playing, my heart aches. I want to play with them like before. But I’m not like other kids anymore. I’m bad, auntie,” – he told the foundation’s correspondent, trying hard to hold back tears. Lord… the tears of a sick child are heavier than the whole world.
This clever boy lights a candle every day and tells God about his suffering. Sometimes he even complains: “Why doesn’t God hear me? Is it because He is in heaven and my voice can’t reach Him?” One of the hardest questions I’ve ever heard. In that moment, I felt my blood turn cold. I raised my eyes to heavens and also asked: “Lord, please hear the prayer of little Giorgi.”
Mariam ,Giorgi’s grandmother and goalkeeper): “They could not diagnose my grandson here in Georgia. He needs to be sent to Turkey urgently! But there are fife more children in the family exempt for Gio. We live in very hard conditions. What can I do if my pension is not enough even for buying bus ticket to Turkey. I never imagined such a bitter old age…”
And this is Giorgi’s sister – 12-year-old Liza
She tries to smile when she’s with her brother, but only God knows the weight this little girl carries in her heart. School will start soon. Unlike other children, Liza doesn’t dream of pretty clothes or new shoes — though she doesn’t even have a single school outfit. Her only wish is for her beloved little brother’s suffering to end.

When I was leaving their home, Giorgi watched me with eyes full of both sadness and hope. He didn’t say a word, but his eyes spoke for him: “Auntie, please take away my pain…”
I carried that look in my heart all the way back to Tbilisi.
I wrote this article for you from the office of the Chernovetskyi Fund in Tbilisi, to share little Gio’s plea with your kind hearts: “Save me!”
