When death breathes through the cracks: Will Dito, Anna, and baby Emilia survive this winter?
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO GOD!
Don’t think it’s an old barn or a corn shed – this tiny hut is home to a beautiful Georgian family, the Chikvaidzes.
What our Fund’s correspondent first mistook for a chicken coop turned out to be a home for three little children.
The youngest, three-month-old Emilia, has blue lips from the cold and won’t stop crying. Five-year-old Dito is sick. And four-year-old Nini told our correspondent that the last time she ate was yesterday afternoon.
Look at these walls: plywood held together by nails, cracks in the windows, and a roof that’s about to collapse. Winter is coming… How will they survive the cold, the wind, the rain?
How will they keep little Emilia warm – she’s only three months old.

And what if these fragile walls collapse – who will protect the children? Five-year-old Dito, four-year-old Anna, and baby Emilia live in conditions that even an adult couldn’t endure.
Dito, the eldest son, began showing unusual symptoms at just three years old. He’s afraid of everything, avoids other children, doesn’t recognize when he needs the bathroom, and still wears diapers.
Doctors in Georgia haven’t been able to make a precise diagnosis, but tests showed that his brain is damaged.
Dito urgently needs to be taken to Turkey for further examinations, because, dear reader, the brain is the one organ that can’t be repaired once it’s damaged. We must act—before it’s too late.
The family doesn’t even have money even to travel from their village, Sairkhe, to Sachkhere. They have nothing left to rely on.
Their only hope now is you – the one reading these lines.
Turkish doctors have given them hope: they believe they can help the boy.
But the treatment costs $3,400 – a sum that’s completely unreachable for this family.
The father, Guram, suffers from epilepsy and has undergone spinal surgery. He depends on medication. He can no longer lift heavy things or work, but he still tries for the sake of his children. He often says: “The most important thing is that they live better than we do.”
Nato, a young mother, watches her son suffer and can do nothing. At the same time, she holds three-month-old Emilia in her arms, trying to warm the shivering baby with her own body.
The family’s income barely exceeds a thousand lari a month. They have no refrigerator, no washing machine, no gas, no hope. And even if they had those things – where would they put them? Their house doesn’t even have electricity.
Winter is coming soon, and we may have to search for the lifeless bodies of small children under the rubble of this hut. Unbearable poverty or illness – which is worse? It is up to you to decide, dear reader.
Time is passing, and Dito’s condition isn’t improving. If treatment doesn’t start now, it might be too late later.
Friends, have you ever seen such misery?
Three little children, a sick father, and a collapsing roof over their heads.
They’re not asking for luxury. They’re not asking for comfort. They’re asking for only one thing – a chance to save their son and survive this winter.
If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Sachkhere District, Village Sairkhe.
