I don’t want my mother to cry, so I try to crawl quietly when she doesn’t see it. But the world is so interesting! I can’t be a prisoner in my wheelchair like a criminal behind bars! My mother and I have no fault!

“He only cries in pain, but he can’t say anything.
I would give him everything so that he does not cry, but I have nothing …“ The sincere love of little Gigi and Lizi for a sick brother will touch your heart

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

Beso is 15 years old, and he has never stood on his feet.  When it gets unbearably painful for him to sit in a wheelchair, he slides off it and crawls around the house. When he was a baby, he cried, but now he is a big boy and does not want to scare his mother.

“Mom is afraid of my tears. She starts crying along with me. I couldn’t stand the pain when I was a baby. And now I have grown up and I endure it when it hurts,” says Beso and looks sadly at his mother. Beso learned to hold back his tears, but his mother didn’t! Despite the doctors tell her that her son will never be able to walk on his own, the mother does not believe that, and waits for a miracle.

“When his back hurts from sitting in a wheelchair, Beso starts crawling on the concrete floor, and his mom’s heart breaks”

Ia: My poor boy, he suffers so much! When he sees my tears, he says: do not cry, or you will not be able to cry when I die. These words kill me! He has been running away from death since the first day of his life. He was born 6-month-premature, he barely survived. His birth is a miracle.
– Why are you saying that?
Ia: My life was hard. My husband kept beating me while I was pregnant. That’s why Beso was born premature. I tolerated that – I thought it was the way it should be. I did not tell that even to my mom. Only my mother-in-law protected me while she was alive.
– What are you saying Ia! For how long have you lived with an abusive husband?
Ia: I thought that everything would work out. I thought – leaving the family was a terrible sin – I endured it. But four years ago, I made up my mind and left. Although it is hard to cope with a disabled child alone, we are calmer this way. Let’s not talk about it. He is Beso’s father, Beso loves him. I have no right to say anything bad about him. He’s such a person, you can do nothing with that.

“Mommy, don’t cry, I am still alive!”

– As far as I see you left him and moved here?
Ia: We lived in rented apartments, but I was not always able to pay rent. And they kicked us out in the street. It is a real hell when you find yourself in the street with a sick child in your arms. Well, I could spend night outside, but what about Beso?
Beso: Mom, they will not kick us out from here, will they?
Ia: I don’t know dear – it is not ours.

“Mom, I am cold, I don’t want to be outside”

– What this building is?
Ia: When I took Beso to the day center, we passed by this building. There is good asphalt here, and I rolled my son here in his wheelchair. So, I noticed this space. There was a padlock on the door, and the neighbors said no one had been living there for long. This room did not belong to anyone.

“It is impossible to live in this abandoned building, but these poor ones have no other choice.”

– How did you find yourself here?
Ia: When I became unable to pay rent and ended up in the street, I remembered this place and came here. I cried, so my neighbors helped me do break the padlock and get in here. For the first months we slept right on the floor, on our clothes; then the neighbors began to bring us things that they did not need. Everything we have now does not belong to us. They lent us bed, and stove, and blankets. I am just a beggar – I can’t buy anything but bread. Yesterday Beso asked me for tea, but I didn’t have either sugar or even an old tea bag! My neighbor heard me crying and gave me two tea bags. It will be enough for one week.

“Sometimes I boil bread in water and season it with a tomato paste.

– Have you any relatives? Does anyone help you?
Ia: I have parents, but they need help themselves. How can I ask old people for anything? We have no relatives who could help us. Our only hope is for strangers – for those who hear God and can hear our pain too!
– As far as I see, an allowance is your only income?
Ia: Yes, and Beso’s pension. I don’t know what it can be enough for.
– What would you buy first if you have money?
Ia: I would fix a roof, because when it rains, we go to the toilet with an umbrella. I can’t even let you sit because we have no chairs. We have no beds, no other furniture. I dream of a gas stove and a washing machine and Beso really wants a computer. What am I talking about? Our stomachs have shrunk – we go hungry! Please help us with food!
– Beso, what would you do if you have a computer?
Beso: I would open Facebook and communicated with children like me. They would understand me.

“Make friends with me, I am a good boy”

– Don’t others understand you?
Beso: No. I have no friends. No one wants to make friends with a cripple. But you can make friends on the Internet – there is a lot of people there! I can read and write, so I’ll be able to communicate. I would be able to watch whatever I like, watch movies, play football – do whatever I want. But I can only crawl at home now.

Friends! These poor ones have no one else to ask for help. Complete strangers are their last hope. Ia worries about her sick son because his health condition may worsen from malnutrition and cold.
This sweet Georgian family needs any help: food, hygiene products, building materials, a gas stove, a washing machine, beds, a table and chairs, and warm blankets. It would be great to buy a computer for Beso! Together, we will manage to help these unfortunate people, as we helped thousands of families in Georgia who were hanging between life and death.
If anyone is willing to visit and help her in person, here is her address: Kutaisi, 5 Sulkan-Saba Turn.
Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone’s prayers through you!
We are sure that all together we will manage to save them from imminent death.
Please don’t forget to repost our story. Let your friends know about the grief of this family! It’s extremely important!
Friends, there is one more request: if you know about the misfortune of a neighbor or friend do a godly deed, drop us an email at: office-fsp@fsp.ge

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER  TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

When they brought gifts he spread his arms, laughed out loud, shouted. What a happiness it is! – he said. He tried to get out of his wheelchair… If he could, he would start jumping. There were so many emotions in his eyes… I will never forget these moments. It was the first time I saw such a smile on the face of my little boy, who has suffered from pain, hunger and cold since birth” – says Ia, trying to hide tears in her eyes. These are tears of joy and gratitude.

“Thank you for these happy moments, for smiles!”

Beso, 15, has suffered from cerebral palsy since birth.  His mother gave birth to him when he was a six-month-old premature and since that day she has been fighting to save her child. Ms. Ia Megrelishvili is a victim of violence. She is a single mother left without a roof over her head.  She temporarily occupies a small room in an old, abandoned building in Kutaisi. She does not know when they will kick her out. Her life is full of constant struggle. She went through so many hardships: hunger, cold, living in public toilets, pantry rooms – with a sick child in her hands. She always worked – as a cleaner, housekeeper, servant. She tried to get a job somewhere where she could stay with Beso, take shelter, buy a piece of bread for her son. God, you know what Golgotha is! Ia’s life is like Golgotha – she carries her heavy cross.

  • Ia, what’s going new in your life? I am happy to see that hope made you strong.

Ia: It is true. May the Lord not take away my hope for you and our kind Georgian people. Giving hope, helping, standing by – this is what a fallen person needs most. Sometimes a warm greeting, even encouraging words give you enormous strength…  Guess what this tremendous help gave us! It gave us the joy of life. I keep fighting to put my son on his feet and I have no fear. I believe that entire Georgia will stand by me. After publishing your post, about 20 people called us. Even the local administration started acting – they promised us many things. Let’s see, maybe there will be an end to our suffering.

  • Please tell me everything in detail. Who helped you? How did they help you?

Ia: First of all, the kind friends of your Fund, thanks to whom we have beds today. It’s the twenty-first century, and you see, we used to dream of sleeping in a bed… We used to sleep on the floor. We had absolutely nothing. It is such a happiness to sleep in a soft bed. I am grateful to everyone who gave us such happiness. We got a wonderful fridge and a plasma TV.

“Beso, dear, do you like your beautiful fluffy bed?”

Beso (15-year-old): I dreamed to have such a TV one day.

Ia: They made this dream of you come true. Beso likes to listen to music. He watches programs about nature. And about travel.

“The TV will become a good friend for me. It will talk to me when my mom won’t be at home”

Beso: I have never been anywhere – only at home and at Naio.(“Naio” is a day center for disabled people) I probably won’t be able to go anywhere, because of a wheelchair.  When I get bored and my back hurts, I crawl but I do it only in my room.

Ia: You Fund made such a surprise for Beso for the New Year!

Beso: I can travel the world now.Because I have a computer! Do you know how happy I was? I almost went crazy! Here is a real magical world – there are friends, games, and movies. I can even become an athlete despite being unable to walk.

Here is the “magical world” of a boy in a wheelchair, who cannot leave his house

  • Did you make new friends?

Ia: Many people called us and expressed their readiness to help.  A dear lady from Tbilisi read the article and cried so much… She took my problems to heart. Her child is disabled too. You know, such people can better understand my pain. This lovely lady called her close friends in Kutaisi and told them to immediately buy us food and help us with whatever they could. Two ladies – friends of her – visited us. They brought us a lot of food. They were so sweet! One local couple visited us too. They came with their son. They brought us food too.  Mr. Vazha is a very good person. He keeps helping us and asks about Beso’s situation.

“Here is our beautiful fridge! La-la-la, I will open it now…”

We have never had so much food before!”

Ia: After the publication of your article, Kutaisi airport employees also visited us. Thair manager came too.

Beso: Do you know that they gave me a very cool phone? Let me show you something! “Redmi 11”. I have never owned a phone before.

Ia: Not only a phone. Sometimes I didn’t even have tea for the child, and I asked the neighbor for it. And we use these two or three tea bags for a week or so.

Beso: Mom, tell them also about young boys and girls came to get to know me.

Ia: It turned out there is some organization here in Kutaisi that helps disabled children like Beso. They also learned about us from your article and brought us a New Year’s gift. It was a lot of food and everything was delicious.

“Give greetings and love to everyone from Beso”

  • As far as I see, our post has done infinitely good things!

Ia: True! If it wasn’t for you, I don’t know what would happen to us… I turned 43 and started to believe in miracles.

  • Did the local authorities help you in any manner?

Ia: You know, after your publication they started showing some activity. They did not pay attention to us before because we were not registered in Kutaisi. For a while, we were even suspended from getting social allowance because of this. I don’t want even to remember the days we went through… Everything has changed now. The Office of the Public Defender was involved in the case. I know you informed them too. Well, they made a temporary registration for us. They brought us firewood, although it won’t be enough for the whole winter, but it still will be enough for some time! Then something else will appear with the God’s help… Employees from the local social service came to visit us and saw that we didn’t even have a chair to sit on. They sent us a dresser and four chairs after a week. I want to thank everyone. I would like to hope that the state will always take care of its poor, and not just line its pockets …

  • You mentioned a day center. “Naio” – “Wonderful World”. Does Beso attend this center?

Ia: Yes.Some principals refused to admit him to the school and the home education program. But now this too has been resolved, with the involvement of the public defender.  A lot of good things was done with your help. Beso will continue to attend the day center and will be involved in the home education program. I was also employed by the administration within a special employment program for the socially disadvantaged.  I work as a housekeeper at a Daily confectionery. While Beso is at a day center, I can calmly work.

“We have never been so happy”

  • Ia, I know that you were very happy with such a feedback, but your problems did not end there …

Ia: We had nothing, absolutely nothing. And now we only have things that you gave us. Our needs will never end! An entire page will not be enough to list all of them. I feel embarrassed to bother anyone.  I would like to have my own roof over my head – my little room somewhere where no one will ever kick me and my sick son out, and I would not even utter a word about my needs.

  • I see that living conditions in this building are terrible. You don’t even have a bathroom. You have only toilet, but it is completely ruined.

Ia: I can’t describe how hard it is for me to bathe Beso and take him to the toilet. Nothing here is disability friendly!  What kind of disability friendly environment are we talking about when water is leaking in the toilet and the ceiling is about to collapse. So I put this big 15 year old boy on my back and carry him like that. We have no hot water. We have no gas in this building. I would like to be able to turn on the electric heater and put the ceiling in order. You need a lot of money for that, but we will never have this kind of money.

  • Do you make laundry in a cold water too?

Ia: I don’t even dare to dream about a washing machine. I want to have a bathroom and hot water. I don’t want to carry Beso on my back, worrying that my foot will slip and everything will be over… I went through so many hardships. Washing laundry with hands even in a cold water is nothing if compared! I was a victim of violence – that’s why my family fell apart. I lost one son – he died at the age of one month. This was before Beso. Beso was born like this – premature, with a terrible diagnosis. We “lived” in the hospital for a while. Every morning I prayed to the Lord to save my son. The same thing was repeating – we were transferred from the maternity hospital to the same hospital in Kutaisi. When we reached the turn to Tskaltubo, I felt bad – I thought that I would return home empty-handed again … But the Lord heard my prayer and saved me… Even so… He is my child – he is a part of me. I will fight for the rest of my life to put him on his feet. I recently found out some interesting information. In March, Turkish doctors who deal with the problem that Beso has will come to Kutaisi.  It costs money. But maybe some God person will help me get an appointment with them? I want to understand what is necessary to put my child on his feet: maybe an operation or some other treatment? I trust Georgian doctors who never gave me great hopes, but I am a mother, and I must try all means!  I must do everything to save my child!

They need our kindness again!

***

I listened to Ia and thought that a mother’s power is immeasurable when it comes to saving her child. Every mother is a hero when she fights for her first child. Mother-heroine certainly needs support! Friends! Let’s not leave this wonderful person in trouble! Maybe we can help her with something else. We can do nothing better than this!

If you have a heavy heart because of everyday problems or unresolved issues, as a distraction just see our posts on Facebook, or better call any of our beneficiaries, and all your problems will seem unimportant to you, compared with the problems of those to whom you helped in the most difficult moment of their lives.

Our problems are noting if compared… Here are true misfortunes, in front of your eyes! Just thank the Lord for what you have. You are the happiest person in the world! Remember this and help those in need!

Unfortunately, problems of this and other families do not end here and now… Therefore, from time to time, look through the stories of unhappy people on our website, talk to them. Every time you dial the Phone of an unhappy person, God is blessing you! For sure! Keep on helping these families! This is the best service to the Lord!

Friends, we have one more request for you – if you find out that your friend or neighbor needs help, please show your caring attitude and drop us an email at: office-fsp@fsp.ge

Your kindness is a chance for yourself to be happy in everything.
