A Living Mummy! She’s only 40, but Shorena weighs just 34 kilograms… Her two-year-old won’t leave her side… But how can a child possibly understand the condition of the person she loves most in the world – her mother? This devastated woman can no longer afford to rent an oxygen machine. If we don’t help, she may take her last breath in just 10 days. There will be nothing left to exhale… And Shorena doesn’t just have one child. She has four. And a husband who works all day for pennies. Even stones would cry at such suffering… But thank God – God has sent us so many kind-hearted people.

This brave mother of four brought her fourth child – Barbare – into this world for our little Georgia. But her happiness was tragically short-lived. Now Barbare, just two years old, sleeps on her dying mother’s chest. Lord, have mercy…

Shortly after giving birth, Shorena began losing weight at an alarming rate. She didn’t go to the doctor. She spent every last penny feeding her children instead. And now – this is the devastating result. Doctors diagnosed her with anorexia.
She has wasted away to skin and bones.

She can’t even straighten her legs on her own.

This young woman now relies on an oxygen machine to breathe.

Her baby cries bitterly – begging you, kind people, to save her mother.
Ketevan (11-year-old): “I watch my mom dying every day, and I can’t help her. We can’t take her to the hospital – my dad just doesn’t have money. We rented an oxygen machine for her.
Do you know how Dad pays for it? He works as a shepherd for a bit of cash… Sometimes he works in vineyards and gets 30 lari. But that’s not enough to pay for the machine. Please – (she turns to the Fund’s reporter) – please tell everyone, everyone you can… Please help me save my mom.

Shorena’s body is nothing but a skeleton now.

She can’t even eat. She can’t even drink water. You know what that means. How long can someone survive without food or water – when they’re already fighting for their life? Shorena needs to be fed and hydrated through a tube – something that small children simply can’t manage at home. If she’s not taken to a hospital immediately, a terrible tragedy will happen… The heart of a heroic mother will stop beating forever. Four young children will be left without their mother.

We cannot let newborn Barbare grow up without a mother. Right now, she needs her mom more than anything.

She cries and can’t sleep without feeling the warmth of her mother’s body.

When she lies on her mother’s chest, she sleeps peacefully. Such is the power of a mother’s heartbeat. Will we really allow that heartbeat to stop forever? Will we let this newborn baby girl become an orphan?

A dying mother and her three little daughters… The fourth child – 15-year-old Nikoloz – stands outside the door, wiping away tears so his mother and sisters won’t see.

Ketevan: “I want to hear my mom’s gentle voice again. When I see other moms hugging their kids, my heart breaks. I want that too. I miss when we did schoolwork together, when she brushed my hair, played with me, and hugged me. Please… bring my mommy back. Please help her get better.

Shorena’s husband brought her roses – just like he did 19 years ago, when he asked her to marry him.

He would give his life to save her – the woman he loves, the mother of his children. But what can a poor man do to save his wife with the few coins he earns as a shepherd? Day after day, poor Gocha works for others, collecting what little he can to pay for the oxygen machine. But now there’s even less work—and the pennies he earns aren’t enough anymore. Sell the house? He would – in a heartbeat. But sadly, the Kokashvili family doesn’t even own this home.

In this room with broken windows, a woman is dying.

Shorena lies motionless, clutching a bouquet of roses – terrified that the flowers will soon be placed on her grave. We cannot let that happen. In no way! People of God – even one lari from you could make a difference. You could save these four little children from losing their mother. There is so little time left. The stopwatch of her life is ticking…

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!
Shorena (40-year-old): When my condition was really grave, I thought I might die, leaving my four children as orphans. You saved not just my life – but my children’s future too. I lost my own mother when I was young, so I know all too well what it’s like to grow up without one.

Shorena: “I cry tears of happiness.”

This was just one month ago.

Keti (11-year-old): “I was so scared my mom would die.”

– Keti, how do you feel now?
Keti: I’m happy that Mom is okay now. I cry tears of joy because she no longer needs an oxygen machine, and she can walk again.

Shorena: “I’m so glad to be alive!”
Shorena (40 years old): “The Chernovetskyi Fund not only saved my life – they gave me something else that’s just as precious. After the video was posted on your page, complete strangers reached out to me – they came to my home, offered help, and now they’ve become real friends to me and my family.
They call me every day, they visit us. And I go visit them too. Thanks to the Fund, I found true friends at the hardest time of my life – and I truly hope I’ll never lose them.”
– Most of your rescuers are ordinary people, just like you! They are rejoicing with you!

Seven kilos of new life! This is the joyful story of another young woman saved from death by you. Before receiving help, she weighed only 34 kilograms.

Yes, just a month ago, Shorena weighed only 34 kg.

Thanks to the efforts of the Chernovetskyi Fund, she was immediately transferred to a clinic where she received professional medical treatment.

Nini Basilashvili (Chernovetskyi Fund correspondent): “First of all – congratulations! I’m so happy to see you like this. When our team first visited your family, your condition was critical. You were on an oxygen machine, and your family had no means to get you to a clinic.”

Shorena (40-year-old): “I never imagined we’d be able to raise such a large amount so quickly. Thank you to everyone who contributed.”

Shorena: When I started feeling better, I was curious to see what people had written under the video you posted – who reached out to me. It turned out I only knew a few of the commenters. The rest were complete strangers. I’d never even seen them before.
– How did that feel?
Shorena: Strangers showed me more compassion than some people I’ve known for years…
– Did that hurt a little?
Shorena: Just, a little. But it’s okay…

“Now I can hold my daughter Barbara’s hand.”

“I can stand, sit, feed myself.”
– What would you like to say to the people who supported you so generously?
Shorena: I’m so deeply grateful to everyone who cared, and I pray for them constantly. I’m a believer, so my prayers are for all of them. Thank you to everyone who took my suffering to heart, who stood by me in this difficult time and helped me recover.

The apartment used to be completely empty – and grief seeped from every corner.

Seven Kilograms of New Life! This is the joyful story of a young woman you helped save from the brink of death. Before your support arrived, Shorena weighed only 34 kilograms. Today, she has gained weight, can walk on her own, and speak again. She thanks you for giving her life – and the chance to raise her children!
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

When we first arrived at the Kokashvili family home after an urgent call, we saw a young woman dying before our eyes. Shorena could no longer speak, eat, or drink—and was barely able to breathe. Anorexia, which developed after the birth of her fourth child, had reduced her to just 34 kilograms—she looked like a living mummy. Her crying daughters, son, and husband all looked at us with one silent plea to save their mother and wife!
Kind women from the city of Gori also brought chairs for the family. And then, for the first time, we saw Shorena smile – a moment that meant the world to us!
The first thing the Chernovetskyi Fund did was purchase a personal oxygen concentrator to replace the rented one the family could no longer afford. We immediately arranged for Shorena to be admitted to a clinic, where she received proper medical care.
She stayed in the hospital for two weeks and gained seven kilograms during treatment. We knew she was feeling better – but we were overjoyed when she came out to greet us herself, standing on the balcony! Watch the video and witness the miracle!

Shorena (smiling): “Thank God, I can speak again! I can walk on my own and, as you can see, I can even hold my daughter Barbare’s hand. I can dress myself, stand, sit, and eat. I still need the oxygen machine at night, but during the day, I breathe on my own. I’m so happy to be alive! And I’m so grateful to everyone who saved me!”
The whole family, inspired by Shorena’s recovery, threw themselves into improving their home. Her husband Gocha helped workers install new windows and doors donated by Fund supporters, all while saying over and over: “Thank you, thank you for saving Shorena!”

Daughters – Mariam and Keti – were thrilled to help unpack the new appliances – the refrigerator, washing machine, gas stove, TV, and water heater. They promised to take over all the housework until their mother fully recovers – and to continue helping her even after. The girls carefully unpacked the groceries and sorted everything – what should go in the fridge and what in the cupboards. They also cleaned the bedroom, made up the three new beds with fresh linens, and proudly invited their mom to lie down and rest.
Keti, daughter: “Thank you for saving my mommy! She’s feeling better now, and we’re all so happy – we could burst! It’s a good thing you helped in time. We love you all so much!”
The girls are so gentle and caring with their mom – and Shorena listens to them with love. They sat her at the new table with little Barbare and fed them both yogurt. Then they folded their clothes and put them away in the new wardrobe and dresser.
Friends, Shorena still needs proper nutrition to make a full recovery. Let’s make sure she has enough food, so the worst is truly behind her. And little Barbare needs baby food and diapers as well.
Friends, don’t forget for a second that Shorena, a mum of many children, still needs help, mostly with groceries.
Rejoice and be blessed, friends!
