Seven of the “sweetest” and most beautiful Georgian children in the world, of whom the country should be proud, are completely deprived of a normal human life. Their breadwinner – their father – was punished with prison. But in fact, his innocent children are serving sentence. They were left without normal human food, new clothes, without toys, without necessary school supplies, and most importantly – without attention from the state. They, like us, have only one protector – God! But they do not yet know His enormous power. They do not know how to consciously turn to Him, how to cuddle up to His loving hand. They do not know that the Lord gave good people a soul, conscience and responsibility for the future of our common country – great Georgia, filled with love and kindness. But its population is catastrophically decreasing every year!

The kids live without a father! There is no one to protect them from human evil and indifference. Only the Lord himself will generously come to their aid through his messengers. And we have the chance to become today!

Their names are Eteri, George, Anastasia, Mariam, Adam, Eva and Spiridon. The eldest is only 13 years old, the youngest is two. Seven destinies, seven characters, but one thing in common: difficulties, hardships and naive childhood dreams that must come true!

The mother, Khatuna, is an amazing woman. Despite illness, fatigue and anxiety, she gets up every day and does everything possible for her children. She has to be a mother, a father, a breadwinner and a support.

Khatuna: “Every morning I wake up knowing that my children are waiting for me. If I can’t take care of them, who will? I need treatment myself, I need surgery for varicose veins, but I can’t go to hospital – who will stay with them? My strength is in their smiles.”

The eldest daughter, Eteri (or Eto) is only 13 years old. But she already feels a great responsibility.

Eteri: “I try to help my mother look after the younger ones. Sometimes it seems like it’s too hard for me, but I want my mother not to get tired. I dream of having a house where there is always enough food…”

The rest of the children remain children in the truest sense of the word. George loves to run around the yard, laugh and play.

Mariam dreams of a beautiful school bag, and Anastasia dreams of a tablet to study and draw.

Mariam: “I want to have a beautiful bag like other children. I want to feel that we are the same as all the children of the Earth, to learn to love God and to dream about our future.”

Anastasia: “Sometimes I feel really sad because we don’t have what other kids have… But you came here, and that means we’ll have all that too. Right?”

Twins Adam and Eva are happy with any little things: toys, sweets, attention.

And little Spiridon is still a baby. The most important thing for him is his mother’s hugs.

Eva: “We love it when mom smiles! And when we have toys, we will play with them with mommy! This will be fun!”

The state helped them buy the house the family lives in. Four rooms sound nice. But inside the house is almost empty: the refrigerator, washing machine and gas stove don’t work.

The children sleep on old beds and mattresses. They put their things wherever can – there are no closets. Even the support under the floor – a wooden pole – holds the ceiling, which can collapse at any moment.

The family’s income is social benefits and a small allowance for having many children.

Khatuna: “My husband used to work as a loader and send money, but now this source is gone – he is in prison. It just happened… But the state severely punished us, not him.”

Because of poverty, mothers often cannot buy enough food for their children. And we know how important proper nutrition is for the health of babies.

Khatuna: “I do everything for my children. Every day is a struggle for me. But sometimes it seems that my strength is fading. I want them to grow up happy, to feel love and care. So that they know: no matter what, we are together, and we can overcome everything”.

Khatuna: “In Georgia, large families have always been respected. Seven children are a joy, a huge blessing from God! It’s a pity that my children don’t feel it yet!”

Seven children’s hearts are waiting for our spiritual support and paternal care.
