REPOST RIGHT NOW, GOOD PERSON! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!
Poor blind Darejan! She has no money for medicine and eye drops, but she worries about this last of all. The poor woman’s house is falling apart before her eyes: the floor has rotted and caved in, and when it rains, water flows from the ceiling in three streams. The windows are crumbling from old age, and instead of glass, there is plywood nailed on.
Darejan, 69 years old: “I have glaucoma, I can’t see out of either eye. In addition, I have terrible headaches. Nevertheless, that is nothing compared to the terrible conditions I have to live in. It rains at home just like it does outside, the roof is leaking and is about to fall on our heads.”
Can you imagine, a blind woman does not even have basic amenities. No toilet, no bathroom. There is no water in the house. She has to carry buckets from the neighbors. A hole was dug in the yard for a well, but it did not go further than that, since the woman did not have enough money to install water. She has to wash dishes and clothes by hand in icy water. There is no washing machine. The woman worked as a cleaner at a school for 25 years, worked until the last, until she lost her sight. And now in her old age such suffering!
Blind Darejan lives with her daughter, a young widow, who left with a small sick child in her arms. Her granddaughter Lika is 8 years old, but her hands shake like her grandmother’s, and the family has no money to take the child for an examination and to see a doctor. Moreover, the mother herself is sick – she has kidney stones. Heavy things cannot be lifted, but there is no one else to bring water into the house, every day the woman risks her health.
– Do you ever fall asleep hungry?
Lika, 8 years old: Yes, it happens. And very often. We eat only bread. And my stomach constantly rumbles and hurts from hunger. I would eat lobiani or khachapuri right now! But this only happens on holidays.
Lika, 8 years old: Let us go, I will show you something. You have definitely never seen anything like this, Auntie.
Look, this is our toilet. No roof, no doors.
We store food in these basins. We do not have a refrigerator and the food spoils quickly.
These are our beds. Mom says they are a hundred years old, from the time of my great-grandfather. The mattresses are also old and torn. The springs dig into my side, I wake up and my whole body hurts.
A blind grandmother, her daughter and granddaughter survive on a pension and the child’s orphanage allowance. No matter how hard they try to repair the house and buy the necessary equipment, they will not be able to. All hope remains that the sad story of the family will touch hearts, and people will lend a helping hand. Let us do everything in our power to make life easier for our compatriots! No one is obliged by the laws of Georgia to help sick children and the disadvantaged! However, what a miracle of God it is when you and I have a chance to save the unfortunate. They have nowhere else to expect help except from us!
If you would like to visit the family and help in person, here is the address: Khashuri, Vakha Village.
Whenever you can help someone, just do it and rejoice that God is answering someone’s prayers through you!

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!
You must have recognized little Lika, who lived in inhumane conditions with her blind grandmother in the village of Vaka, in the Khashuri district. The family turned to our Fund, asking for help to replace their deteriorating roof. Rain inside the house was just as heavy as outside—it was pouring from the ceiling in streams. The whole of Georgia responded to this family’s plight! Together, we raised the necessary funds and purchased construction materials.
Take a look at the drone shot: from above, you can see their brand-new roof—no holes, no leaks!
Darejan (69-year-old): “It’s been such a long time since I’ve been this happy! This is a miracle! Your workers removed the old, broken shingles and replaced them with a new tin roof—all in just one day. The roof used to leak, and it felt like my heart was leaking too. Now, my heart is at peace. Recently, we had a heavy downpour, but not a single drop came through the ceiling. Well done, boys. They did their work perfectly! I can finally say we have a proper roof over our heads. We’re so happy and grateful. I don’t even have the words to express my thanks. May God bring joy to everyone who helped us!”
Friends, you’ve made Lika the happiest child by fulfilling her cherished dream of owning a tablet. She never lets it out of her hands!
Lika (8-year-old): I’ve dreamed of having a tablet for so long! I promise, I won’t just use it for games. (Laughs.)
– What else will you use it for?
Lika: It’ll help me study. I’ll watch cartoons in English and learn the language better! “I love you so much!” Do you know what that means? It means I love all of you with all my heart! Thank you, kind people, for everything!
Toys, dolls, and a children’s tea set—all of this was also handed over to the girl, and she was ready to shower us with kisses. Her mother confessed she had never seen her daughter this happy!
Lika’s father passed away, leaving her mother alone with two children to care for. The family survives on a pension and an orphan’s allowance. Almost all their money goes toward medications for the blind grandmother. Before reaching out to the Fund, they often had to buy groceries on credit. Lika suffered from hunger, and her stomach would hurt because she wasn’t getting enough to eat. But all of that is in the past now.
Lika: “Hmm, what could be in this big box?”
This refrigerator is your gift to the family. God bless you, friends! The best part is that we filled it with groceries that will last them a long time! Lika has started eating properly and gaining weight.
Lika: “Mickey, look how much food we have! Nothing will spoil in this refrigerator!”
Tinatin, Lika’s mother: “We’ve never had so many groceries at home before – meat, milk, butter, cheese, pasta, sweets. And I’m no longer worried about food spoiling because you also gave us a refrigerator. After you shared our story, two young men from Tbilisi came to us with a car full of groceries. They brought everything we needed: buckwheat, rice, eggs, salt, even shampoo, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies. It was such a big surprise! The kindest, most compassionate people live here in Georgia!”
Lika: “Hurray! Hurray! I’m so happy about my new bed! Now I’ll have the sweetest dreams!”
Dear donors, the clothes you sent will keep this little angel warm during the cold winter. May God bless you! Lika now has many beautiful dresses and warm shoes to go with them.
Darejan: “And they even sent warm boots for me! I don’t leave the house much, but if I need to go to the doctor, they’ll come in handy. I’ll wear them with such joy! Thank you for not forgetting about Grandma Darejan!”
Lika: “Grandma, tell me what you want to watch, and I’ll turn it on for you!”
It’s time for the old, hoarse TV to go to the dump! The friend of the Fund brought a big brand-new plasma TV set. At Grandma Darejan’s request, we’ve set up all the Georgian channels for her.
– Grandma Darejan, we’ve brought you a big TV. Are you happy?
Darejan: May you be happy, children! May God bless everyone who reached out to help me and my family. I can’t see, so the only thing I have is my hearing. I can now listen to news and shows all day long. I’ll never be bored again!
– What other problems do you have? What else do you need help with?
Tinatin: “We don’t have a washing machine. I’m thankful to my neighbor for letting me use hers, but how much longer can that go on? We also don’t have water in the house. How to do laundry? I need to carry water in buckets from the neighbors. If you could help us drill a well, we’d pray for you for the rest of our lives, dear friends!”
Darejan: “Can you imagine? I’m a blind woman, and I don’t even have the basic amenities. No bathroom, no toilet. At my age, I just want to live with some dignity. Our floors are rotting, our windows are falling apart, and the wind blows through the cracks. We have no one else to ask for help. Please take us under your care! Don’t abandon us!”
