“Lord, help me survive for the sake of my children,” Koba repeats over and over again. The man has brain cancer, and he is tormented by terrible headaches. A giant tumor already occupies 90 percent of his brain. His condition worsens with each passing day. He needs urgent surgery. This is the only chance for him to survive, and we cannot miss it if we want to save the man! May these words reach your hearts and echo with kind actions! Any help you provide will increase Koba’s chances of recovery! Please help save his life! Time is not on his side right now, but we can change this, as there is treatment. We just need to help him get through it!

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Koba (47-year-old): “The most important thing, friends, is that I am a father, and I must survive for the sake of my children. I love my daughter and son. They are my future, my life, my joy. I am afraid even to imagine what will happen to my children if I am no longer here. I am scared for them.”

Koba takes care of two seriously ill children. His eldest daughter, Diana, has cerebral palsy and autism. She walks with difficulty. She was operated on her legs twice but she needs the third surgery.

Koba: “Diana is daddy’s helper. She can look after her brother, give him his medicine, or hand him a glass of water. She loves him very much, kisses him all the time, and cannot imagine life without him.”

His youngest son, Igor, has a severe form of cerebral palsy. He cannot walk or talk and is entirely dependent on his parents. His nearly blind father carries him in his arms with his last bit of strength.

Koba is completely blind in one eye, and the other has only 3 percent vision left.

Before his illness, Koba used to go to Turkey for work.  One day, he suddenly lost consciousness and found himself in a clinic. After examinations, doctors diagnosed him with brain cancer. Then he underwent complex surgery and the tumor was removed. And now, four years later, just when it seemed the worst was over, the cancer has returned!

The family now survives on social allowance and the children’s disability pensions. This barely covers food. But where can they get the money for expensive medications? Koba has been prescribed strong medications, and both Diana and Igor need monthly medications and vitamins. There is no one to help or to care for the children.

Koba’s wife, Irina, is also in poor health. Since the death of their twin daughters at three months old, she has been on antidepressants. What a tragedy! Can a mother’s broken heart ever stop grieving for her lost child? May no parent ever have to endure the bitterness of losing a child!

Koba: We have no beds – we all sleep on one sofa. Soon the cold weather will come, and I don’t know how we will survive the winter. We have a stove, but the utility bills for electricity reach up to 150 lari.

Koba has three dogs. Two of them have only three legs. He cannot pass by homeless animals and shares his bread with them. Such is the kind soul of our ward, friends!

Koba: I am ready to do anything just to survive and be with my children. I need your support. Friends, I beg you, please help us!

Koba: The only salvation for our family is God. We go to church and beg the Lord to have mercy on us. Lord, have mercy, save and protect us, for You never abandon those in need!
