For already 38 years Anna Sordia is suffering of unbearable pains; the
organism of the poor girl is so deformed that the doctors cannot say where her
heart is, where her lungs and stomach are. She is blind, almost deaf, she
cannot speak, she often falls into coma, from time to time she suffers of
horrible convulsions, and bouts of bronchial astma on the background of
insufficiency… all this literally 
буквально strangle this delicate girl… and so it lasts for 38 years!

Mtvarisa, Anna’s mother, dedicated her whole life to her daughter, she did
not had a moment’s peace in the constant struggle with death… God forbid anyone
to survive the condition seeing your child suffocating, taking every possible
measure to ensure the life-saving breath of your daughter!

She dreamt of a happy life, healthy children, beautiful house, but the
destiny prepared a bitter life for her.

 “I felt pain as if it was a
knife in my body – says Mtvarisa… I graduated from a medical college, but I
never worked as a nurse, my daughter required constant care and I did
everything possible for her to live; but now I am twice as scared… I am a
retired person, the years are taking their toll, I have high blood pressure,
but most of all I am worried with one thought – what will be with my Anna? God,
give me power to stay close to my daughter as long as I can, so that we could
carry this heavy cross together”.

Understanding the bitter fact that the child is seriously ill and that it
can be forever is extremely painful and distressful. One shall have a heart of
stone to remain untouched by the sorrow of this poor family.

They live in a remote village, Kvemo Chorotsku, in a dilapidated hut
without elementary conditions, without water and heating, and their social
allowance hardly suffices to survive.
