43-year old
mother brings up six children all by her own. This family lives in horrible
poverty, every day is just another challenge for them; their current life is
lost in grief and total helplessness, and the most horrifying thing is that
their children are crying of hunger and there is nobody to help…

The Akobia
family had been living in Russia for 12 years. The father worked at a
construction site earning money for an apartment, food and leisure for the
children. But later some problems arose and the mother had to take the children
and return to Georgia. 

At first
they lived with their grandmother in Zugdidi, then they stayed at the premises
of the local hospital, and now they are living in a house with awful living
conditions: the roof is leaking, the walls are damp and shabby, the floor is
almost rotten and there is almost no furniture. 

How could a
lonely mother with just 460 lari of income feed six children, provide them with
clothes and normal living conditions, and pay for utilities? It must be just 2
lari a day per person? It is a disaster!   

The youngest daughter, Tina, is 5, and the eldest,
Mzia, is 14. She dreams of becoming a lawyer in order to protect people
whose sufferings are unfair. Mzia understands that the life of any person
could totally change in a blink of an eye. Each of us used to have his room; we
were never hungry and we knew what the joy of life is, and now everything has
turned upside down, we have nothing, not even bed clothes…» – says Mzia. 

Dear friends, these children who became a victim of an
incomprehensible situation, silent agreement of their parents, need your help
already now! We genuinely believe that you will surely respond to their cry for
help and give them a glimmer of hope. They are waiting for a miracle, for your
