These poor children thank God every day for saving them from their mother, who beat and starved them! What a nightmare! Mariam, Nikoloz, and Tengo deprived of almost everything lived in a house, surrounded by filth and chaos. Their father was in prison at the time, falsely accused by their own abusive mother of domestic violence, unaware of what was happening. You will be horrified by what these children revealed to the foundation’s reporter. Marika (11-year-old): “How can you call that woman a mother? I don’t think of her as one! She treated me and my little brothers so horribly. She beat us! She never cooked for us; we lived on bread and tea every day. We were always hungry! There was food in the fridge, but we weren’t allowed to touch it. At night, she’d leave us alone and go to the neighbors. I don’t even know what she was doing there!”

Nikoloz (9-year-old): “We had to steal bread in our own house, from our own mother. When she found out, she would yell at us and beat us. She even let the neighbors beat us! Living with her was like living in hell. I never want to see her again! “
Mariam: “The one who suffered the most was my youngest brother, Tengo! He was sick and had incontinence—well, you know, he’d wet the bed at night. Instead of taking him to the doctor, she’d hit him right there in his bed and make him sit in cold water for hours. When I tried to defend him, she’d hit me too and scream that he was pretending. Tell me, how can anyone treat children like that?”
When their father got out of prison, the children admitted they were too scared to tell anyone what had been happening at home. The man contacted the police and child welfare services. The mother was stripped of her parental rights, and the children were handed over to their father. Now he’s raising the three of them on his own.
Levan, the father (44 years old): “The kids are traumatized; they’re stressed. My youngest son has health and behavioral problems because of all the abuse from his mother. He needs medication, and I’m doing everything I can to make sure he doesn’t miss a single dose. We live on social allowance and my disability pension.”
Levan: “Because of my health issues, I can’t work a regular job, so I collect scrap metal to feed my family. I’d rather starve than see my kids go hungry. I also have a fourth child—a daughter who’s still with her mother. I’m doing everything I can to bring her home to me so that woman can’t torment her like she did the others. God forbid any child to go through this!”
– Levan, what kind of help do you and your children need right now? How can we make life easier for these little angels?
Levan: “You can see for yourself how modestly we live. We need everything! The roof is leaking, the walls are black with mold, and we don’t even have a proper bathroom. I bathe the kids in a basin in the living room. I’d be so grateful to you and all the kind people who could help us repair our house. The children sleep on old, rusty beds. It breaks my heart.”
Nikoloz: “Ma’am, we don’t even have a fridge. Well, we do, but it’s broken. Food goes bad quickly, and it’s such a shame to throw it away! We also need a wardrobe because right now, we keep our clothes in cardboard boxes and bags.”
– How is life with your dad now?
Nikoloz: “Since Dad took us to live with him, our lives have changed for the better. He loves us, we can feel it. He treats us well and takes care of us. He does everything we ask, but we know he doesn’t have much money, so we don’t ask for anything extra.”
– Do you ever think about your mom?
Nikoloz: Of course not! We’ve forgotten her like a nightmare! Our dad is both our mom and dad now.
