SOS! SOS! Seven-month-old Rezi is fighting for his life far from home – in Turkey! And heartbreakingly, this battle – for the right to live, to grow up and one day see the beauty of his homeland and his people – is proving incredibly difficult. Dear God, please don’t let Rezi lose this battle against the forces of evil! We cannot allow that to happen. He’s only just come into this world – how can we surrender this tiny soul into the cruel hands of death? No, no! His mother waited for his birth through countless anxious days and sleepless nights. She’s 52 years old. She spent her days in front of icons, praying. And God heard her cries – He had mercy. He sent her an angel from heaven at the age of 52.
But today, friends, the evil forces of darkness are mercilessly threatening this helpless Georgian angel – little Rezi, with his rosy cheeks and sweet face.
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Rezi was born prematurely. He weighed just 925 grams. Immediately after birth, he was diagnosed with a severe and life-threatening condition and was rushed to intensive care.

Doctors found he had bronchopulmonary dysplasia – a chronic lung disease common in premature infants. Rezi spent only 6 months in his mother’s womb. One of his lungs was completely collapsed; the other severely damaged.

Treatment in Georgia brought no results. Precious time was lost. Who will be held accountable for letting his condition get so grave that saving him now seems nearly impossible?

Our little angel was finally taken to a clinic in Turkey.

Tamar (Rezi’s mother): “My dear compatriots, a heartbroken mother in a foreign land is begging you: help me save my son, Rezi. My child is dying before my eyes and I can do nothing. I have nothing left to sell. God made me a mother at 52 – and I was the happiest woman in the world. I don’t want the title ‘mother’ to be replaced with ‘mother of a dead child.’ I beg you on my knees: help me save my child.”

Rezi’s devastated family sold absolutely everything they owned just to take him abroad. And why did they have to do that? Because the Ministry of Health refused to fund treatment abroad.

And, dear readers, we at the Fund say this not just based on the mother’s words. We have official documentation confirming that the Ministry denied the family financial support. But we are not here to criticize anyone. Our only goal is to bring this little angel back to Georgia alive. Not his cold, lifeless body.

Rezi is just seven months old, but the way he looks at us – with those big, bright eyes – it’s as if he’s asking for help too.

YOU SAVED THIS BABY’S LIFE, FRIENDS — AND THIS SMILE IS FOR EACH OF YOU PERSONALLY!
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!
YOU HELPED, THANK YOU!
BABY REZI IS PLAYFUL, SMILING FROM EAR TO EAR AND BEING MISCHIEVOUS! And just a day or two ago, his tiny heart felt the presence of death…
As soon as the illness loosened its grip, he immediately started to play! He coos, babbles, kicks off his blanket, and slyly watches his mom’s reaction.
Little Rezi – the baby his mom Tamar had prayed and waited for so many years – was born six months premature, with bronchopulmonary dysplasia, a double inguinal hernia, and many other health issues. He was immediately taken for intensive care – connected to tubes, given medicines, and placed in an incubator.

To see this smile today, the Fund’s friends worked hard – they paid for his surgery in Turkey to remove the hernia, as well as for tests and medical examinations. They even bought two oxygen concentrators for Rezi’s home!
Overwhelmed with emotion, Tamar shows her son the new equipment: — “Your oxygen has arrived, my beloved boy! Can you imagine? Two machines! Now we’ll even be able to go for walks whenever we want!”

At the hospice, Rezi also received your gifts – delicious baby porridge and a pulse oximeter to check his oxygen and pulse. We’re keeping a sharp eye on both the illness and death itself – they once had plans for this baby! Don’t scare us like that again, baby!
Why are you looking at us so curiously with those big, beautiful Georgian brown eyes? Cute little one, sunshine, we won’t let death take you away. We’ll protect you – from all the monsters, from illness, from death itself.
Friends, bronchopulmonary dysplasia can last for a long time, and Rezi still needs our care and support. To grow stronger, he needs good nutrition and medication. Any day his condition could worsen again, and we may have to call for urgent help.
His mother, Tamar, is a wonderful woman – a teacher of Georgian language and literature from Kutaisi. She became a mother at 52. And just one step separated her from becoming a grieving mother. But now, Tamar is one of the happiest mothers in the world. Read the letter she wrote herself – it will give you goosebumps.
My little Rezi and I want to express our deepest gratitude to all the friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund for your material, moral, and every kind of support! May the Fund live long and save many more lives!”
