The world of 29-year-old Beka collapsed on July 20, 2024. That day, his life was split into before and after.

A terrible accident… a fractured fifth vertebra… a damaged spinal cord – and the familiar world Beka knew disappeared.

His body stopped obeying him, pain became his constant companion, and every single day turned into a test of endurance.

But Beka is not someone who gives up. After three months of grueling rehabilitation, he began to recover – despite doctors’ doubts. He held on to every small victory, every movement, every spark of hope.

Then fate struck again: during rehabilitation in Georgia, Beka seriously injured his hip joint. Despite surgeries and long, painful treatment, he was unable to recover fully. Nine months after the injury, he still cannot walk and moves in a wheelchair.

Beka’s muscles are constantly tense, as if locked in unending spasms. His right arm is weakening, his fingers barely respond. A stone has formed in his bladder, requiring urgent removal to avert life-threatening complications.

And yet, even after everything he has endured, Beka has not lost the most important thing – his dream.

Beka dreamed of creating a family, raising children, and continuing his ancient and respected family line. His roots lie in the village of Chokhi, in the Gudamakari Valley, on a sacred mountain where people have prayed to Chokhi’s Saint George since time immemorial.

His name is not just a line in a passport. It belongs to one of the most revered mountain families. For centuries, people believed that their sacred relic was the tongue of Saint George. For Scripture says: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

The Word is revealed through the tongue, which is why this relic was held in such deep reverence. And Beka dreamed of one day passing this story on to his future children, so that the ancient word of his lineage would not fade away.

Today, his dream depends on us. To continue his fight for a full life, Beka needs to undergo a specialized rehabilitation course. The cost of treatment is nearly $7,000.

For his family, this cost is far beyond their means. They do not have this money, and without help from others, they cannot raise it.
