Ekaterina was just six years old when she was diagnosed with a disease never before seen in any child in the world: MN1 astroblastoma glioma – a malignant brain tumor.

This is Tea, Ekaterina’s mother. Imagine what her heart feels now, knowing that death is already on its way to take her child. In truth, she is mourning a child who is still alive. Is there anything more horrifying in this world?

Tea has devoted her entire life to loving God. For many years, she has sung in the choir of the Holy Trinity Cathedral (Sameba).

Perhaps Satan could not forgive her love for God and is now trying to punish her by taking her child away.

Be ashamed, Death! This girl is only eight years old. Be ashamed, Death! This child wants so desperately to live, and yet you try to cover her tiny, cold body with earth forever.

Be ashamed, Death, for taking a child from her mother!

Tea, 45 years old (Ekaterina’s mother): “If it were not for the Chernovetskyi Fund and its friends, I would probably be standing at my child’s grave today. A few months ago, thanks to your Fund, all of Georgia learned about the death sentence hanging over my daughter. When all hope was lost and I no longer had the strength to fight, complete strangers began fighting for the life of my poor girl.”

Tea: “With the funds raised, we took Ekaterina to Israel. In Israel, my daughter was reborn. Yep… While clinics in the world’s leading countries refused to treat her because no treatment protocol existed for this disease, Israel became the only country willing to do the impossible. The treatment and follow-up examinations showed that my child has a chance to be saved.”

The treatment and subsequent tests confirmed that the child has a chance to survive.

Friends, the situation is this: within the next few days, we must return Ekaterina to Israel to continue her treatment. Any delay is a death sentence. But what is a poor mother to do?  The examination alone costs $9,000, and the treatment itself costs far more.
