A handsome, proud Georgian man named Zakro lost, in a single moment at the age of 21, the happiness more precious than all the gold in the world: his beautiful wife and his sweet little angel, his beloved daughter Pause your daily worries for a moment, friends. Right now, with all our hearts, we want to tell you one of the saddest stories that has happened in Georgia in recent years…
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO GOD!

“Look at me,” Zakro seems to say, “and cherish every moment of life lived without illness and pain.” Zakro is 35 today. This tragedy began when he was only 21.
Zakro: “Trouble always comes without warning… Maybe I was too happy…” Now, in his sleep, the same nightmare returns again and again: his body twisting in unbearable convulsions, his head splitting with pain – just as it did on the terrible day when paralysis struck.

On Zakro’s phone, there are still photos from the LAST moments of his joyful life. God, how happy he was then with a loving, beautiful wife and a little angel in his arms… Back then, the poor man had no idea that cruel fate was already preparing his “ticket to hell.”
Soon after, the young couple divorced. Zakro could not bear the thought that his wife and small daughter would have to see him every day – helpless, gravely ill, unable to provide even the most basic things, not even a piece of bread. For his dignity as a man and his love as a father, this was unbearable.

At just 35, this strong, proud young man was left wheelchair-bound after a giant brain aneurysm ruptured, resulting in massive brain bleeding.

Zakro (35-year-old): “My mother… Now she lives only for me. I let my beloved wife and child go. What kind of love would it be – to suffer myself and make those I love suffer too? And my father… when I fell ill, he could not bear the grief and passed away soon after.”

Only a miracle from God and a mother’s love kept Zakro alive. For eight hours, surgeons worked millimeter by millimeter, removing part of his skull and brain to reach the area destroyed by the deadly condition. And the miracle happened. Few people survive operations like this.
Afterward, his brain was wrapped in a special mesh, and Zakro spent two long years in a coma…

Maia, Zakro’s mother (61): “My heart bleeds with pain. If something happens to me, who will care for my son? No one… I beg you – help me put him back on his feet. Only then will I be able to die in peace, knowing that at least for some time he won’t be left without money. He needs a caregiver, massages – so much care…”

Zakro: “I had to relearn everything from the beginning, like a baby. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t talk. If I stop rehabilitation, everything I’ve achieved could disappear. I can’t miss even a single day. But the cost of the next rehabilitation course is more than 2,000 lari. For my lonely mother, this is an impossible sum – there’s simply nowhere to get it from. My father couldn’t endure my suffering; he stopped caring for his own health and died of peritonitis.
My main goal is to stand on my feet again. I promised my little daughter and my elderly mother that I would take care of them. Please help me keep my promise. I want to study, to work, to help my poor mother and my child. My daughter is everything to me. She is my main motivation – the reason I find the strength every morning to get out of bed.”

Friends, Zakro desperately needs our help. He is undergoing rehabilitation, massages, and electrical stimulation, and these treatments are bringing results. But the family no longer has the means to continue the fight. Everything of value they owned has already been sold to pay for treatment. Is this fair? Should access to vital medical care depend on whether a family has enormous wealth?

Zakro’s only income is a disability pension of 420 lari. This is enough only for bread, buckwheat, and rice. It means that medications, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation are simply out of reach for this young disabled man.

Zakro’s future now depends on our support: whether he will remain disabled and dependent on others for the rest of his life, or recover and become a support for his grief-stricken mother and little daughter.

Please help Zakro. Please do not pass by. Do not wait for others to act – act yourself. His life is in our hands right now. We cannot abandon him when victory is so close.
