While other people’s children were growing up, going to school, graduating – he was learning to wait. Learning to believe that one day he would hear the word: “Dad.”

And fate heard him. Twice. Saba and Giorgi. Two little hearts he now lives for.

Nugzar Lomtadze is 63 years old. He is not just a teacher. He is an English teacher in a small village who still walks into his classroom every day.

Even now.

In pain.

The kind of pain that keeps him awake at night. That feels like it is tearing his face apart from the inside. That gives him not a single moment of peace.

And still, he goes to his students. Because he loves them. Because he doesn’t know how to do otherwise. He teaches them words, while silently enduring a pain that cannot be expressed in any language.

It all started with a simple tooth extraction. And turned into an endless nightmare.  Mistakes. Surgeries. Complications. An open sinus.

There is also a suspected trigeminal nerve injury – one of the most excruciating pains a person can experience.

And the worst part is that doctors in Georgia still have not been able to give him a clear diagnosis. He lives in pain… and no one can say for sure how to save him.

He cannot eat properly. He cannot sleep.
Sometimes he cannot even speak. And still, he comes to school. Because his children are there. And at home – his children are there too. Two little boys he waited 22 years for…

and with whom he now cannot be the father he dreamed of becoming. He is not asking for the impossible. He is asking for a chance.

A chance to understand what is happening to him. A chance to receive proper treatment. A chance to live without this pain.

Please… help.

Let the teacher who continues to teach, even in unbearable pain, have a chance to live. Without pain. Beside his children. Any amount is not just help. It is relief from his pain.
