Forty-eight-year-old Megi knows what it means to live with pain that cannot be shared with anyone. Her husband is gone. She has no home of her own. She does not even have the simplest things that many people take for granted.

Because then her 14-year-old son, Giorgi, would be left completely alone.

A boy living with serious medical conditions since early childhood, Giorgi needs constant care. He cannot live without his mother. To him, his mother is his entire world. His protection. His hands. His life.

She simply wants her children to be safe. She wants her home to have the basic conditions every person deserves. She wants to stop fighting just to survive every single day.
