Maka: My brother is hungry all the time and cries, and my mother cannot give him food, and she cries too. And I don’t like to cry. I love to play with toys. But I don’t have them. Sometimes I play with a pillow, sometimes I make a doll out of a log. I keep asking mom to buy me at least one doll, but she doesn’t buy it and keeps crying!

My toys are from the junkyard… And I’m really very hungry!
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

“It’s good that my brother is still little. When he is not crying from hunger, he is like a toy – so cutie!”

“There is not even a chair in the house. Everything is picked up in a junk”

“Forgive me, I can’t be a good mom”

Maka (8-year-old): My mom cries a lot – even more than my brother. They are both crybabies!
– Why do they cry?
Maka: My brother is hungry all the time and cries, and my mother cannot give him food, and she cries too. And I don’t like to cry. I love to play with toys. But I don’t have them. Sometimes I play with a pillow, sometimes I make a doll out of a log.  I keep asking mom to buy me at least one doll, but she doesn’t buy it and keeps crying!
– What do you think, why your mom doesn’t buy you a doll?
Maka: She never buys anything but flour and pasta… not even candy… not even tangerines.  I know she has no money.
– If you had money, what would you buy?
Maka: first of all, I would buy my mother a lot of money so that she could buy us sweets, then diapers and a toy car for my brother and a lot of food. To have food everywhere.
– What about yourself?
Maka: Mari, Lizi and Anastasia! Do not look at me so! I’m not buying live girls, real ones. I’m talking about dolls. I would have friends at home! And I would sing to them. And ask my mom about the rest we need.

“When I go out, I leave the children with a sick grandfather or a grandfather with children – I don’t even know”

– Nazi, when you addressed our Fund, what did you hope for?
Nazi: It wasn’t hope. You know, I am subscribed to your page and see how you can help. Sometimes it seems that the whole of Georgia stands by you. Even in our area you have helped many families. I’m really in a hopeless situation now and I just can’t cope without help. When Nikoloz grows up and I will take him to kindergarten, I will start working. I am not embarrassed of any physical work. I will clean, wash, wash – if I only can buy the children something else but bread. And now my children need constant supervision, and my dad is sick and lies all the time. He can’t even go outside. When I need to go out for groceries, I ask the children to look after their grandfather, and I ask my father to look after the children …

“Look what we sleep on – the mattresses are right on the cold floor”

– Nazi, do you have relatives or friends, who could stand next to you?
Nazi: I only have a sick father left. I have a sad fate since childhood. My mother left me when I was very young, she left for another man. I used to be very angry with her, but then I realized that she simply could not tolerate the temper of my father, who drank all the time and then raised his hand to her. She took me to her mother and left me there. I remember how I stood at the window every evening and waited for my mother … but she still did not come. This is how I lived with my grandmother. My father never visited me. He came just recently, all so sick and infirm. He said that he had no one else to go to and I accepted him. What else could I do? Despite the great resentment and pain, he brought me, I sheltered him and now take care of him. He sometimes becomes so weak that he cannot get out of bed at all. I can’t even leave my kids with him.

“Maka loves her grandfather very much, and I’m glad that he came back… I forgave him”

– You are a person with a big heart! Not everyone could do that. You can barely make ends meet, but you sheltered your father, who, according to you, did nothing but hurt you! You are a true Christian!
Nazi: I think everyone would have done the same. I couldn’t do otherwise. See how the kids love him. They don’t leave him. He probably realized his mistakes. Of course, the allowance is not even enough for food, but I try to cope somehow. God gave me healthy children and thank God they are not picky. They eat whatever we have. I never go anywhere near a meat and dairy store. I’m not talking about sweets and fruits at all. Every penny counts for us. And my kids know it. They don’t even have toys. Maka understands everything, but you can’t explain this to Nikoloz … he wants a car like other boys have and cries. We have to distract him, but is childhood without toys really childhood?
– What can make your life easier?
Nazi: First of all, I really need food, I need diapers and a bed for children. I have them healthy, but I’m afraid in such conditions they will get sick. They also need clothes and shoes. That’s it. This is my ultimate dream. As for expensive things like a washing machine, a gas stove, and a TV – I just can’t dare to ask. You probably understand me.

All windows of the house are broken and sealed with cellophane

– Maka, you are already an adult girl and probably dream a lot. What do you want the most?
Maka: Only for myself? Not for mom and brother? Let me think… I would be just happy if I had a phone. We don’t have a single telephone at home, and when my mother wants to call somewhere, she goes to the neighbors and asks them. If I have a phone, I will lend it to my mother and brother. I also dream of a microphone and headphones. Oh, how many songs I would sing!
–  I think, you must have dolls!
Maka: I even know what I’ll call them! One of the most beautiful will be Mari, the second Liza and the third Anastasia. I even imagine how I will play with them. I will sit them near the stove so that they are not cold, and I will sing to them. It will be like a concert. And they will say to me “bravo, smart girl” – well, this will be also make-believe, you know? But to be honest, I do not believe that I will have dolls and a phone. I made a wish many times, but it never came true. Do you think it will come true now?
– I’m sure!
Maka: okay, then I’ll ask for my brother too, he  can’t talk, but if he could, he would say that he wants a car and chocolate! If our house were made of chocolate, he would eat it in one day.
– What is your favorite food?
Maka: I also like chocolate, but most of all I like khinkali!

Maka does not believe in kindness, does not believe that someone can give her a gift for no reason, just because she is a good girl. They never gave her gifts either for her birthday or for the new year. Friends, should children live like this?
Mom Nazi and her children really need our support. They will be grateful for any help. Most of all they need beds and warm clothes. They also need food and diapers, as well as household appliances.
If anyone is willing to visit and help them in person, here is their address: Gurjaani, Kardenakhi village.
Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone’s prayers through you!

WE EAT CHOCOLATES FOR YOUR HEALTH! REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN!

HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

The taste of new life is chocolate!

My grandpa and I love watching the news on TV,” chatters eight-year-old Makuna. “But when grandpa starts getting upset about the news, I turn on YouTube on our new TV for him to watch movies and music instead.  And at home, the news is better and more fun than on TV.

We have lots of chocolates and clothes, you know! I have a tablet that all the kids wantб and they ask me to borrow it.  Now we have a good table and chairs, not just three plastic stools. Do you sit comfortably on the new chair? Let’s go sit on the couch now; it’s even better!

Mama Nazy says that Makuna cried tears of joy when they received gifts from the donors of the Fund. The kids are full of emotions and love everyone in the world. Thank you for saving another disadvantaged family from tears and suffering!

“All my friends want a tablet like mine!  They say, ‘you’re lucky!'”

Maka (8-year-old): This is how you need to plop down on the couch, put your hands behind your head, and feel very comfortable.  You try it too, come on!

– Oh, it’s wonderful!  Makush, can you give me a master class on how to sleep sweetly on the new bed?  Maybe you jump on it a little?

Maka: No, no way! Be mindful of how you lay down and sit on the couch to ensure it lasts for a long time. People raised money for us and bought it, and why would I ruin it?!  It’s so cozy, soft, and lulls me to sleep. It also helps my mom and my little brother fall asleep – the three of us sleep here together.

‘The new bed is so comfortable – it lulls us all to sleep!’

When we’re not sleeping yet, me, mom, grandpa, and Nikusha watch TV here. I know what each of us wants to watch – mom wants comedies or love stories, Nikusha wants cartoons, and my grandpa and I want news.

– Wow! Do you want to know what’s happening in the country?

Maka: To be honest, the news can give you a headache.  Children are being kidnapped, pensions aren’t increasing. Grandpa says there are many poor people in the country. We were also poor until you came to us.

– What can we do about this poverty, Makush?

Maka: We need to help each other!

‘The old TV wasn’t compatible with the internet, and it showed things based on the mood, but the new one has YouTube!’

– Did many people come to see you?

Maka: I saw some of them and talked to them. But there are still thousands more!  They didn’t show up, but these gifts are from them. My tablet, fridge, washing machine, sofa, TV, chocolates, and food.

‘We also got a “relaxing” sofa’

Nazi: As the Foundation project began, readers came to visit us bringing groceries and clothes. When a person experiences this, hope immediately arises within them and life no longer seems so gloomy.

“What tasty things do we have left here?”

Thanks to the Fund, I met a wonderful young woman from the Signagi district.  She visited us twice. She brought new clothes and various school supplies for Makusha, and groceries for us. I remember Mirian from Signagi.  He is very kind and soulful. He brought everything we needed: potatoes, pasta, vegetable oil… Two readers (from Tbilisi and Gurjaani) helped us with clothing and food: lobio, rice, onions, potatoes…

My father was just as happy as the children and blessed the readers. He says, “Don’t be afraid, Nazibrola, God won’t let us perish. All these people are God’s people coming to us. He wanted it that way.”

I think the same way. The Lord gives these wonderful people both the strength and the opportunity to help those in need, like us. I’m happy there are many such people in Georgia. Despite the difficult life, many people are willing to share!  And your readers know how to rejoice for others. I’m sure when you publish this post, they will be happy that things are getting better for us.

“The sun is shining outside, but we have a chocolate rain at home!”

Oh, I almost forgot that we also received packages: one from Tbilisi with clothes, and another from Tsnori with bedding. This means we don’t need to buy blankets, mattresses, and pillows as they’ve already been provided for us.

Maka: They even gave diapers to my brother. It’s great because now he won’t wet our new bed! We also received medications, but I can only use it in case of high fever. I wear a diaper, so I won’t wet the bed!

Nazi: Now we have a first aid kit with cold medicine.

– God forbid you ever need it, Makusha. Better use the other gifts and stay healthy.

Maka: All my friends want a tablet like mine. They say: “You are so lucky! Can you lend it to me?” I only let them use it for a few minutes and under my supervision!

– Maka, is there anything you want to say to our readers?

Maka: Stop writing, let me think for a while! (And she lets me write after a couple of minutes). Please tell them that all of us – me, Nikusha, Mom, and Grandpa – are very happy and grateful for everything they sent us. Thank you so much!  May God bless you all! May you stay healthy and may you not be poor. My new Barbie dolls and a big blue elephant say hello to you!

Nikusha cannot talk yet, but he will eat lots of chocolate candies for your health!

‘Big heart to all readers from me!’

“My new puppy friend also says hello to you!”

– Good girl! You said it nicely and smoothly, like a true Kakhetian toastmaster!

Nazi: Thank you very much to all of you!  I wish you prosperity, happiness, health! God bless you!

– Nazi, have the local authorities offered any help to solve your problems? O

Nazi: If there was news from them, I would have told you. But there is none.

Maka: Or I would have said, too, I know everything about the house.’

– Well, my sweet talker, if you know everything, tell me what else is wrong with the house and what problems you have?

Maka: I will tell you. You know, we only have light in one room – the bedroom. And if you stay with us until late, we won’t be able to see each other well. Even I could scare you in the dark.

Nazi: The other room is only lit by the light of a streetlamp. The wiring in the house is very old. I don’t use it so as not to burn the house down. There’s only one socket in the house, and I connect a power strip to it. The plumbing is also not in order, I can’t connect the washing machine. Poor people always have problems that pop up – I don’t want to bother you. You have already helped us so much, my darlings…

“I’m just admiring the washing machine for now – I have no money to install it yet and the plumbing is not in order”

 ***

Friends, we know that you were happy about the great news in the Jaliashvili family and paid attention to the remaining problems.  The family, where there are two young children and a sick grandfather, is struggling to live without electricity and water.  You already saw everything behind Makuna’s cheerful story.

Thank you for your warm hearts!

If you have a heavy heart because of everyday problems or unresolved issues, as a distraction just see our posts on Facebook, or better call any of our beneficiaries, and all your problems will seem unimportant to you, compared with the problems of those to whom you helped in the most difficult moment of their lives.

Our problems are nothing if compared… Here are true misfortunes, in front of your eyes! Just thank the Lord for what you have. You are the happiest person in the world! Remember this and help those in need.

Unfortunately, problems of this and other families do not end here and now… Therefore, from time to time, look through the stories of unhappy people on our website, and talk to them. Every time you dial the Phone of an unhappy person, God is blessing you! For sure! Go on helping these families! This is the best service to the Lord!

Friends, there is one more request: if you know about the misfortune of a neighbor or friend do a godly deed, drop us an email at: office-fsp@fsp.ge
