“I don’t know what’s wrong with my daughter. Why she swells up, why pus comes out of her eyes and nose… We have been going to doctors for 2 years, had many tests and surgeries, but nothing helps I look at her and my heart breaks… she’s so cheerful, restless… she walks, chatters, laughs, but in a matter of seconds her face can swell up, she writhes in pain and cries.”

0901200270Friends, this is a matter of life and death! And we can really give life! Barbare is dying from an unknown disease!
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!
“I’ll give you my life, Barbare, just don’t cry”
On the brink of life and death… breathe, baby, and don’t give up
– Tamara, how did this happen? Was Barbare born with problems?
Tamara: No. The pregnancy and birth giving went well. Barbare was born a perfectly healthy girl. We were so happy! Gabriel, who was one year old at the time, was the happiest of all. He looked at her and kissed her little hands. They are still like two peas in a pod. When Barbare starts to feel pain, Gabriel holds her hand and says, ‘ “Give me your pain! I’m strong, I can bear it.’”
“I can bear the pain, let it hurt me instead of my little sister”
– When did you first notice signs of her illness?
Tamara: Barbare was one year old when she put a small sponge in her nose. I couldn’t get it out. We rushed to the clinic, where they also tried to remove it from my baby’s nose, but they couldn’t. We had to go to the hospital. They seemed to have solved the problem and we forgot about it. But after that incident, there was not a day of peace. Apparently, they couldn’t get everything out, and the small pieces began to decay and rot. Barbara started having headaches, difficulty breathing… and in 2022, she lost consciousness. We took her to the hospital, where they found some growths in her respiratory tract – it was a cyst, or cancer, or remnants of that sponge that they couldn’t fully remove.
When Barbara is not in pain, she plays like all her peers
But when the pain starts, she doesn’t even have the strength to cry… she moans like a kitten
– What is the current condition of Barbare?
Tamara: We were recently discharged from an intensive care unit. My Barbare has gone through so many horrible days in the past eighteen months. 12 surgeries. Her hands are all punctured… She gets upset when she sees people in white coats. And what happens to Gabriel when he sees his sister in pain and suffering – he runs to me and whispers: “Why is my sister suffering so much, can I help her? Will she die? They won’t leave her in the hospital, will they?” I am ready to die…
“In the hospital, the doctors call her a fighter, a hero! They are surprised how much strength such a little princess has – to fight and not give up!”
– What is her current condition and what do the doctors say?
Tamara: Thank God, with the prayers of kind Georgians and the efforts of doctors, Barbare is still alive. The doctors say her condition is very serious, but doctors in Turkey can help her. Six months ago, we went there – they raised money for us, and I managed to take my child there. They drained pus from her nasal cavity and eye, her condition improved, but we didn’t have enough money for further treatment, so we came back.
All the worries became so insignificant… all the anxieties lost their meaning. This is real sorrow, this is real tragedy!
– You probably need lots of medications. How do you manage to cope?
Tamara: Well… Our income is a 300 GEL allowance. We can afford diapers and medication, but not food. My mother helps me a lot. We wouldn’t be able to cope without her.
Why did you address our Fund?
Tamara: I saw the real support of your Fund, read words of gratitude from hundreds of mothers. You gave them hope, saved their children, and directed them towards the path of recovery. I know you will help my daughter survive. You are my last hope. You can reach people’s hearts!

An unknown illness was killing little Barbare: her face was swelling up like a ball, and pus was coming from her eyes and nose
She couldn’t breathe, eat, sleep, and felt only excruciating pain until she was operated on
We have relieved our little Barbarika from pain and suffering, and she is shining like a little star!
Little Barbie has already taken her mom’s pink lipstick and claimed the nail polish. When she does her makeup, nobody should disturb her! The manicure is unique – half of the finger is painted instead of the nail. Mom and her brother Gabriel love it! And now there will be lipstick, eyeshadow, and powder! Such a cute and charming little sweetheart! Mom and her brother can’t take their eyes off her. They want to kiss her, hug her, and lift her up in the air with joy all the time.
In mom’s heart, there is immense joy!
But everything could have been different if we hadn’t managed to have surgery for Barbare, to diagnose her. For unknown reasons, her face suddenly started swelling and hurting terribly. Her left eye swelled to alarming proportions. Pus was coming out of her nose and eye. She was struggling to breathe, couldn’t eat or sleep. Even in the hospital, they didn’t know how to help her.
Tamar, mother: After two years of worries, after three unsuccessful surgeries, after a huge amount of strong medications that Barbie was pumped with (dexamethasone, prednisolone, and others), after the scandals we witnessed from another foundation, we have a clear diagnosis and real results from the surgery.
Мы пережили настоящий ужас, пока не обратились к вам. I was completely distraught, crazy, I didn’t know how to save my child! Barbare developed heart problems, she couldn’t breathe, her hair was falling out, her nails were peeling off (something like a terrible fungal infection). Her condition was getting worse and worse. The doctors initially thought it was osteomyelitis, then started suspecting oncology…
Thank God she doesn’t have any oncology! The new diagnosis for Barbie, of course, is not pleasant either – “chronic sinusitis”. It can’t be compared! At least it’s not life-threatening. But now I have clarity about what’s happening with the child. I know she won’t die!
Exactly two weeks after reaching out to the Chernovetskyi Fund and meeting your employee, Batoni Levan, who promptly took action, we went to Turkey, to Mersin, to the Ortadogu clinic.
They immediately examined Barbare. She had acute sinusitis (inflammation of the paranasal sinuses. – ed.). They treated her for two weeks ,from April 26th to May 7th) and prepared her for surgery. The anesthesiologist was concerned about the condition of the heart valve, so they also treated her heart before the operation.
– What kind of surgery did Barbare have?
Tamara: In Turkey, they have more advanced medical equipment than we do. The MRI showed where the problem was. It turns out that Barbara had growths not in the nasopharynx, as previously believed. They found a bony growth between her eye and nose! And this focal point of infection was affecting and destroying her entire body. As soon as it was removed, my little girl felt better, she breathed a sigh of relief!
Barbara has a healthy complexion, a good appetite, and sound sleep!
– Barbara is as active as a bee. Such a darling! It’s so nice to see her happy and content.
Tamara: It’s only now that she truly feels the joy of childhood. Her appetite has returned, she asks for food herself. Her complexion is healthy, she plays, laughs and dances. Do you have Viber ”? I’ll send you videos of her dancing. It’s something! She does the most adorable moves. She even took all of my cosmetics and made them her own.
This miracle happened to Barbare thanks to all of you! Thanks to your tears, heartfelt concern, and support, Barbare was saved with the help of the whole of Georgia. Calls and contributions came from different regions of the country and even from abroad. Your Fund rallied and touched everyone’s hearts. Thousands of people prayed and fought for Barbare’s life.
We take Mom’s powder…
Then some lipstick…
And here you have it the super-beautiful Barbara!
I am grateful to your Fund and your readers. It has been two months since the surgery, and I am still on cloud nine with happiness, celebrating my daughter’s second birth. And I feel like I have been reborn myself.
Tamara: “These two months after the surgery, I’m still flying on cloud nine. Thank you for returning my daughter to me!”
If I hadn’t found the money, it would have ended horribly. I was warned that her lungs would shut down. I needed $10,000 for the surgery. The government provided five thousand (the city administration and the Ministry of Health). But where could I find the other half? And then God heard me and sent you at the right time.
I received calls from dozens of your readers, many of whom wanted to come in person. In two to three months, we’ll be able to have visits (as permitted by the doctor) and let’s get to know each other! Come so I can hug you personally! May God bless you and save your family from ailments and misfortunes for seven generations. May God’s grace be with you! Thank you not only for the donations but also for your prayers. I know that my little daughter is safe now. God’s people are by her side, by our side. I feel your support, and I’m not afraid of new difficulties.
How can I not mention the Fund’s team?! I am happy to communicate with all of you – the manager, social workers, journalists, cameraman, photographer. You are all very easy to talk to, warm-hearted, passionate about your work, and full of love.
Your Fund is my great hope. Not just mine. So many saved people bless you.
– Thank you for your kind words, Tamara! What else is needed for Barbara’s recovery?
Tamara: In three months, we have a follow-up appointment at the Turkish clinic – another MRI to see how the problem area looks. Her sinuses need to be checked.
At the end of November, they need to check her heart, so we’ll have to go to the clinic again. Because that “nest” of infection that was there before the surgery managed to affect her heart, liver, kidneys… But what trips abroad are there to talk about when our home is empty, and we have spent every penny. I’m feeling confused right now, and I don’t know what to do.
You may be surprised but now Barbara herself is eager to see the doctors and wants to go to Mersin.
– Our project continues, and we will make every effort to ensure that Barbare sees the doctors when needed. By the way, how did she manage to stop fearing them?
Tamara: Oh, my God, you have reassured me now. So, we will be able to go. I love all of you, and I want to hug you all! They have it all planned out, to “gain the child’s trust” . (Smiles) They bring gifts for brave behavior. One gift, then another, then another… They ask the child what to do, how to proceed. And she liked it. Now she asks me, “Buy me syringe, I’ll play with them.” I call her my unlicensed doctor (smiling). (Smiles)
And did you bring me presents? I love them so much!
“I wonder what delicious treat do I have here?”
Oh, my favorite chocolate crisps!
“What a lovely little doll”
She looked at everything, now we can start the feast!
Gabriel (5 years old): Do you know how naughty has Barbarika become since she recovered? She takes away all my toys, even the dinosaurs and rushes ahead me to mom to complain.
“They must have missed me, my little toys. Come give me a hug, bunny”
And the coloring books are still unfinished without me…
– Gabi, well, it’s because she was sick for a long time and couldn’t play much. But you still love her, don’t you?
Gabriel: With all my heart and soul!
I love my Barbarika more than life itself, even though she’s such a little troublemaker!
– Even though you’re young, you respond admirably!
Gabriel: Of course, I love her. I even don’t go to kindergarten because of Barbarika, even though I really want to be with other kids. But I can’t bring any viruses from kindergarten. Barbarika can get sick. And I want her to feel only good.
We all want little Barbary to have a good time. That she eats with appetite, laughs, dances, kinks, and even makes a naughty mess! Barbara must continue with examinations and treatment, and we will certainly help her. We will do everything to make it happen.
If you have a heavy heart because of everyday problems or unresolved issues, as a distraction just see our posts on Facebook, or better call any of our beneficiaries, and all your problems will seem unimportant to you, compared with the problems of those to whom you helped in the most difficult moment of their lives.
