Every day, the young woman Sofiko, confined to a wheelchair, prays to God to relieve her pain and send her friends and daughters with whom she can talk and who will not laugh at her condition. She’s always sad and always crying. She has no one to talk to, and she really wants to. She dreamed of going to school, but because of her condition, her mom was always taking her to doctors. And she couldn’t make friends with the girls. They ran around, played, but Sofiko couldn’t. She observed all the joys of life only from the window…

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Her daily existence is filled with humiliation and despair. Instead of enjoying youth and rejoicing in life, she is forced to fight for survival in conditions of extreme need. Her mother, Margalita, sacrificing her own health, tries to provide her daughter with at least some dignified existence. But even this proves insufficient to alleviate the bitterness and suffering of the unfortunate Sofiko.  They are very poor, they have nothing of their own. Everything was sold for the treatment of their daughter. Sofiko doesn’t even have spare clothes, and when her mother washes her things, the poor girl sits wrapped in a blanket until the clothes dry.

“And this is my daughter, she will never hurt anyone. I sing her lullabies. I so wish I had a real daughter, whom I would give birth to myself!”

Sofiko: I’m really afraid that I’ll die without ever having friends or daughters. That’s all I’m afraid of. I only have one close person, and that’s my mom.   Only she talks to me. Others avoid me.

Margalita: Sofiko was born prematurely. They put her in an incubator. After a month, they told me to take my daughter and transfer her to the hospital because her condition had become severe. When I transferred the baby from the maternity hospital to the clinic, they told me she was in a coma. Can you imagine? Can you imagine? They gave me a baby in a coma from the maternity hospital! They probably didn’t want her to die there. Bastards!

“Doesn’t this poor girl have the right to live like a human being?”

– Oh my God, what a nightmare!

Margalita: Yep! She was so beautiful, so neat… and death wanted to take her. But I didn’t let it happen! I’m still fighting for her life! I sold the house, got into debt. I took her everywhere, showed her to every doctor, spared no effort, nerves, or money – but I couldn’t get Sofiko on her feet. Many obstacles arose in my path that I couldn’t overcome. Maybe my daughter could have been saved, could have been put on her feet – who knows?

“My mom is my sunshine.” She’s always with me and does everything for me.”

– What obstacles are you talking about?

Margalita: Margalita: house. I wanted to buy something smaller and use the remaining amount for my daughter’s treatment. But I became a victim of fraudsters and ended up with nothing. Then they imprisoned my son on false charges. What bitter years I had to endure… And we wandered from one rented apartment to another. Sometimes we were evicted from one, sometimes from another… and I couldn’t finish treating my Sofiko! I think it’s my fault that she can’t even get up from her wheelchair.

“My mom is my sunshine.”

Sofiko: Don’t say such things, Mom! You’re the best mom! You’re my sunshine, Mom! And I will stand up, and I’ll have a child, right, Mom?

– Sofiko, tell us about yourself.  What do you like to do?

Sofiko: My name is Sofiko. I’m 27 years old. My legs and arms are sick. I can’t walk. And it’s hard for me to talk. But I understand everything. Life is not easy for us. Sometimes we don’t even have anything to eat. We barely make ends meet, sometimes we don’t even have enough money for food. Mom brings me food from somewhere, but I really don’t like it. Sometimes my stomach even starts to hurt.

“My whole life is in these toys… I talk to them, they’re my friends.”

Margalita: Yes, we get lunches from the social canteen. But sometimes Sofiko can’t even stand the sight of that swill, let alone eat it. I am so sorry for her. She doesn’t have any joy in her life at all.

Sofiko: I have one joy! The television. Sometimes Mom lets me use her phone. But you can’t see anything on it. How I wish I had a tablet! I’d watch my favorite cartoons about Garfield there. Look at how many toys I have. Sometimes I line them up and talk to them as if they were my friends. Sometimes I feel sorry for myself…

– What else do you feel?

Sofiko: Pity for myself. And envy. And fear that I’ll never be like everyone else. Also, I feel very sorry for my mom. She sold everything and lost everything because of me. If I were like everyone else, maybe she would be happier Oh. I’m scared to imagine what will happen if Mom isn’t around. Sometimes it feels like I’m drowning in the big black abyss of these thoughts.

“It hurts when people point fingers at me and say: ‘yuck’.”

– Sofiko, I think after our friends learn about you, many will want to communicate with you. Can we find you on social media?

Sofiko: Yes, I have Facebook, but there are no photos of me there. I only left my dolls. They are beautiful and people are not afraid of them. Not like me. I’m afraid to post my photo because I fear judgment.

“Friends! Be sure to write to Sofiko! She is smart and emotional! Corresponding with her will be interesting and informative!”

– Would you like to say to other people facing similar difficulties?

Sofiko:  I don’t know. I wish everyone had their moms nearby. And lots of friends! So they wouldn’t be afraid of them, and no one would laugh at them. That’s what I’d wish for them. As for advice – I don’t know…

– How can we make your life easier?

Margalita: If possible, I would like to ask for an electric wheelchair for Sofiko and she really wants a tablet. Also, she doesn’t have any clothes at all.

Sofiko: Yeah, when Mom washes my clothes, I sit wrapped up in a blanket until they dry… it’s so funny…

“The only solace for Sofiko is the television. It’s the only way she can interact with the world.”

This might seem funny to Sofiko because she sees the world through her kind eyes. Despite her fate being a story of struggle, resilience, and sorrow.

Born with cerebral palsy, she faces limitations that many of us can’t even imagine. Her dreams and desires clash with the harsh reality of her condition.

Sofiko dreams of being a normal girl. She wants friends, craves acceptance, and understanding. But every day, she faces the limitations of her body and environment. Even the simplest things become a challenge for her.

Her mother is her main support. She sold everything they had to provide Sofiko with some semblance of a decent existence.

The illness becomes not only a physical but also a psychological burden, crushing her soul and destroying hope for a better future. Social isolation has become her constant companion. She’s afraid to go outside, fearing judgment and misunderstanding from others. Even on social media, she hides her photo, afraid that her illness will repel even those who could have become her friends.

Her only source of joy and hope remains her mother, who, despite her own illnesses, stays by her side, supporting and fighting for her daughter. And now, we can also become her support, friends!
