Friends, this kind young family with two adorable little children lives in conditions that can hardly be called a home. There’s no gas, no water, no bed for the children – nothing that would distinguish their so-called apartment from a shelter for animals. Not even the most basic appliances. They are crying out for help. And there is no one else they can turn to.

Look into the eyes of these innocent children – and let compassion fill your heart! Meet the Papuashvili family from the village of Gomi in the Khashuri Municipality – one of the many vulnerable families we support. Can you imagine a household with two small children having absolutely nothing? No beds, no refrigerator, no washing machine, no gas stove, no television. Even the house they live in is rented. The roof leaks so badly that when it rains, water pours inside just like it does outside. They pay 300 GEL a month for this shelter – almost half of their entire social allowance. At the Fund, we believe these girls will grow up and do great things for our beloved Georgia. They will raise strong sons for this country – and most importantly, they will never forget your kindness. We’re certain that help will come to this struggling home very soon. The most miserable people in the world live in Georgia – in Gori, in a home that feels more like a crypt than a house. Here, poisonous mold grows on the walls instead of wallpaper – slowly killing everything alive. As a reporter, I don’t usually believe in demons. But within minutes of stepping inside, I was convinced: this is a place where Satan himself has taken up residence. Every day, he feeds off the suffering of kind, helpless people – tormenting a once-young Georgian couple and turning them into old and broken souls before their time.

This family’s story is a true tragedy, dear friends. And it will take all of us, together, to bring a ray of divine light back into their home. Meet the deeply unfortunate Jeiranashvili family. At the edge of the couch sits 48-year-old Tina. She was still young when her first child died – because of a doctor’s negligence. Her second child… a long-awaited, beautiful little angel named Khatia, suffers from a severe brain injury. The poor girl can’t say a single word. And if she doesn’t receive treatment soon, her condition will worsen: her hormones will become imbalanced, her facial hair will grow… It’s horrifying. Even just one lari donated by you will make a big difference and ensure that this horrible room is first disinfected, wallpapered, and that the floor is laid, so that rain and wind no longer come through the broken windows. Two elderly people. Two heavy, heartbreaking stories. And no one to turn to… Givi is 75. Glaucoma has nearly robbed him of his sight. His wife Olga is 85. She has become his eyes. Without our help, they won’t survive in this harsh world.

Givi (75 years old): “There is no greater misfortune than blindness. I suffer so much, I would rather lose my legs than my eyesight. I can’t even afford the eye drops that might save me from going completely blind. Is this really a life?”

Olga (85 years old): “You won’t find a family in greater need than ours in the entire village of Tkviavi.”

These elderly people are surviving on week-old bread. Can you imagine? And there’s no one to help them. That’s why their only hope is you—kind-hearted people!

Not long ago, Olga fell and broke her arm. The poor woman had to undergo major surgery. Doctors had to reconstruct her arm and insert metal implants.

She now needs medical check-ups, but the family doesn’t even have enough money for a basic X-ray. They don’t have a washing machine either. Just imagine how hard it is for an 85-year-old woman to wash and wring out laundry with one hand.

4 800 euros will determine whether three-year-old Luka will be able to walk, talk, eat solid food and enjoy life, like our children, or will be forever tied to a wheelchair and only watch from the side how other children play and enjoy life and will remain disabled for the rest of his life! This adorable child is three-year-old Luka from the city of Gori. The child will soon turn four, but on his birthday, instead of balloons and colorful candles, suffering awaits him. The thing is, Luka cannot walk or even crawl. The biggest tragedy is that the child cannot say a word. He also cannot eat solid food. It is so terrible!

Luka’s poor mother has no money to provide her child with full treatment abroad. Doctors in Georgia were unable to cure him.

The child’s condition was carefully assessed in a Turkish clinic, and fortunately, the child has every chance of a full recovery. For this, exomatherapy is needed. This procedure activates brain cells.

The cost of one procedure is 1 200 euros. The child needs 4 procedures, which means that the recovery of this poor child will require a total of 4 800 euros.

Four sweet little children start their mornings chewing on stale bread. They don’t know that such poor nutrition can lead to a deadly disease—tuberculosis, which often ends in death. These children must be saved from hunger—urgently! You will cry when you see the terrible conditions this family is living in. Hunger, cold, ruin – and no money for immediate medical exams. Lali (9-year-old): “Look how fairly Mama split this piece of bread between us! The only bad thing is that sometimes we have no food at all… Then my tummy hurts, and I can’t even run because I’m so weak. And Mama didn’t save any bread for herself. They say all moms are like that.”

Ketevan, mother (26 years old): “My husband is seriously ill – he has tuberculosis and a stomach condition. He barely eats anything. But we have no money for doctors or medicine. Our first concern is feeding the kids. Please help us get medical checkups. If something happens to my husband, what will become of my children? Who will take care of them? We survive only on social allowance. We have to buy food on credit—just to stay alive.”

Dear friends, the children need beds, warm blankets, clothes – and most importantly, food. They also need a repaired roof and a new window so they can stay warm and dry when it rains. These little ones have already suffered too much. But we can ease their suffering. Please help this large family in need.

This brave mother of four brought her fourth child – Barbare – into this world for our little Georgia. But her happiness was tragically short-lived. Now Barbare, just two years old, sleeps on her dying mother’s chest. Lord, have mercy…

Shortly after giving birth, Shorena began losing weight at an alarming rate. She didn’t go to the doctor. She spent every last penny feeding her children instead. And now – this is the devastating result. Doctors diagnosed her with anorexia.

Friends, Tato was urgently transported by mobile resuscitation vehicle to Turkey while he was in a coma, on a ventilator. And then, a miracle happened! God is great—the Turkish doctors brought him back from the brink of death! But the battle for his life continues even now. The money for his treatment has run out! His poor parents sold everything of value they owned. They’ve poured all their strength, every last resource, into their son. Now, when there’s finally a chance to save him, they’re completely powerless to help their child. Their only hope lies with compassionate people who won’t let this little boy die in a foreign land. Tato urgently needs surgery, but before that, he requires an extensive rehabilitation program. Every day for this 7-year-old is a living hell. Because of a severe infection ravaging his body, Tato has a constant fever of 39.5–40°C (103–104°F), which even the strongest antibiotics can’t bring down. The boy is literally burning up from his illness!

Forty-nine-year-old Guram, a father of two, has been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis. His stomach is entirely filled with fluid, and the poor man can’t even move in bed, let alone stand or walk. Tears of life’s injustice fill the eyes of the man who was discharged from the clinic due to a lack of money. But he tries to hide them from his children. Ten-year-old Nikoloz and thirteen-year-old Andria stand by their father’s bedside, gently caressing him with their little hands. The poor children don’t know how to ease their father’s excruciating pain. Look at this poor man’s tears. He can no longer endure the pain, the dreadful disease, and, most of all, life’s injustice. The poor father simply cannot endure it any longer. Guram urgently needs a liver transplant; otherwise, the children… Oh God, how hard it is to say these words. Yes… Otherwise, these little angels will become orphans.

Unending tragedy! First, one child passed away. Recently, death claimed their second, now grown-up son. A father paralyzed by grief, a devoted mother nearly crushed by sorrow, and a burned-down home. The funeral bell never stops tolling for the Janelidze family.

The Janelidze family was graced with two kind and wonderful boys. Their mother, Eliza, was overjoyed beyond words. And their father, Geronti, would proudly say to everyone, “I am raising two brave sons for my homeland.” Indeed, as the years went by, the boys grew more handsome and, most importantly, were known throughout the Abasha district as well-mannered and kind-hearted brothers. Most people held this loving family in high regard. But envy is a cruel thing—there were those who begrudged the couple’s boundless love and happiness. That envy bore bitter fruit. It is heartbreaking to write these words: neither of those young men is alive today. Gangrene and liver cirrhosis, two merciless diseases, claimed their lives. Since then, every day for their devastated parents has been a living hell. Their poor mother clings to old photographs of her children, and her heart feels like it is being torn in two. No one can truly understand the fiery agony consuming her heart. Eliza’s soul aches in ways only a mother who has lost her children could comprehend. No one else…

The Old New Year is approaching—a time when everyone, especially children, is filled with hope for miracles! Four-year-old Saba is waiting with all his little heart for his miracle too! Because if we don’t help make it happen, he may lose the chance to see the light of God’s world. An urgent surgery abroad can restore his sight!

Saba is just four years old. He suffers from a severe retinal disease—retinopathy—that could lead to complete blindness in just a few days. Right now, he can only see objects very close to him. Everything else is like a blur, shrouded in fog. His vision is deteriorating rapidly, and nothing seems to stop it. The day Saba was born should have been the happiest day of his mother’s life. Instead, she heard the devastating words in the delivery room: “Your son isn’t breathing.” Saba’s life began with resuscitation, doctors, and a tough battle for survival. He miraculously pulled through, but it was later revealed that he had a congenital eye defect—retinal detachment – that caused him to lose his vision.
