“Auntie, I’m hungry! My tummy hurts. There’s no food at home except pasta. We go to sleep hungry every night…” – these were the words four-year-old Ikako said when he met our journalist. Friends, a heartbroken mother is raising five children on her own. This young woman is seriously ill – doctors suspect cancer. But she has no money for treatment, and not even enough to feed her little kids…

He began to chew it and finally calmed down.
The children share their last scraps of bread with each other. They are so kind and caring – yet they desperately need to be saved from hunger!
Natia was left alone with her five children. Her husband abandoned the family and offers no support. How can a father sleep peacefully at night, knowing his children are suffering?
Five-year-old Mari’s vision is deteriorating day by day – she can only see from a very short distance. Her mother, in total poverty, can’t even afford to buy her eye drops from the pharmacy. 
Natia, mother (31-year-old): “I’m sick: I have a thyroid nodule, cysts on both kidneys, allergic bronchitis – and worst of all, the doctors suspect cancer. But where to find money for examinations or treatment? Day and night, all I think about is how to feed my family. If I buy medicine for myself, then I can’t buy pasta for the children.”
Mate (7-year-old): “We don’t have beds. We sleep on the floor. Do you know how cold it gets at night?”
Just look at the conditions these five little children are living in: a tiny room, a leaking roof, no bathroom, no hot water.
The children have to wash outside in cold water – constantly getting sick. And there’s no money for medicine either.
Dear friends, now is the time to come together for a truly good and God-pleasing cause. Right now, the future of five young children and their sick, impoverished mother depends on the kindness and generosity of people like you.

Today, mother Natia won’t be thinking about her possible cancer diagnosis… Today, this mom of five will try to tell her heart not to ache so much over her little daughter Mari, who’s losing her eyesight… And today – for the first time since their father heartlessly abandoned these sweet, beautiful children – they will finally have enough to eat.
Today, they’re allowed to be happy! And happiness, like a long-lost guest, has entered their home. The children, starved for love and care, drown us in their affection from the very first moments – kissing us with yogurt-smeared little lips, hugging us with hands sticky from waffles.

The children eagerly help the workers and staff carry in the new things – a stove, fridge, microwave, bread maker, kitchen processor, a bed with a mattress, and a dresser. They poke their curious noses into every box, invite us to watch their circus performances on the new bed, and stand there waiting for applause with the sweetest smiles.
Mari: “Auntie, watch my splits!”
Mate: “Auntie, I can do a somersault!”

A Thank-You Letter from Mother Natia
The very first thing we thought of – this large family, abandoned by their father, desperately needs a new home. A proper home – spacious, comfortable, with basic amenities. With a real bathroom, not a tin tub for washing. With running water inside the house, not outside.
The state has promised them social housing. But can that ever compare to having a home of their own? With your help, the Chernovetskyi Fund has already provided homes for several families.
Just recently, a heroic single father, Zaza Merabishvili, and his three sons received one. And we are sure you won’t leave these wonderful children without attention either.
Sometimes, when Natia watches little Mari laugh, her smile fades… A mother’s heart knows fear – Mari’s eyesight must be saved before it’s too late. She urgently needs examinations, treatment, and medication.
The doctors suspect cancer in Natia herself – but she can’t do anything about it because she simply has no money. The disease is advancing every single day.
