Two-year-old Nikoloz became a victim of medical negligence. During a C-section, doctors injured his pelvic bone and broke his shin. They hid it from his mother. Later it turned out that if a cast had been applied in time, these injuries could have been avoided. What grief! He needs our help!

Not a single doctor was punished. But no one can escape the judgment of God… Friends, we will definitely carry out our own investigation. And although we don’t have a prosecutor’s authority, we will still be able to clarify many things! It’s not about punishment—it’s about making sure unqualified doctors never cripple Georgian children again!

Right now, Nikoloz has serious problems with his hip joint. His left pelvic bone is 8 cm shorter than his right.

He also has problems with his neck – he tilts his head to the side and cannot hold it straight. All of this is the result of the trauma he suffered during the C-section.

And here is Nikoloz’s little sister-7-month-old Barbare. Just look at her, a true angel. She is only seven months old! May God grant health to her and to all the children of Georgia!

The baby doesn’t even have warm clothes.

Their poor mother cannot always buy diapers, because every penny goes toward helping Nikoloz stand on his feet and walk again. A leg that is 8 centimeters shorter is not easily corrected – you can imagine what a difficult struggle lies ahead for this poor mother.

Barbare has only one toy—an old, shabby thing.

She cannot yet speak and ask for a toy, but you can picture how she would play with a Barbie doll – one as beautiful as she is herself.

At times, this poor mother doesn’t even know what she can give her children to eat.

Her sick and hungry child opens the refrigerator, hoping to find something to eat, only to find it empty – just the fridge donated by the Fund back in 2024.

Teona (Nikoloz’s mother): “I am only 28, and yet life has already given me motherhood filled with pain. When I see how the children of my peers are healthy and running, my heart rejoices – even though my son can only watch them from afar with sadness.”

The family comes from the village of Makvaneti in the Ozurgeti Municipality – one of the poorest in the country. Had the mother stayed there, the other children likely would not have survived. The large Chkhonia family had to move to Ureki, where a kind man gave them shelter. His name is Tariel Surmanidze. How I would love to shake his hand! But that is all we know about him.

May God bless this man of faith. May his kindness return to his family a hundredfold.  He heard about the family’s hardship from our posts. That is why, dear friends, your shares so often truly help the suffering and bring them happiness.

Teona (Nikoloz’s mother): “Nikoloz needs to undergo tomography, but it is not funded for us. To be able to walk, he needs regular swimming sessions, but I cannot afford them.”

At the rehabilitation center in Ureki, they are doing everything they can for little Nikoloz. Thankfully, there has already been some progress. But everything could be lost if the therapy does not continue. If treatment is delayed, this green-eyed little angel will never be able to walk.

I also humbly ask you not to forget 7-month-old Barbare. She cannot yet speak, but her eyes are asking for help.
