URGENT!!! Seven young children – the youngest just seven-month-old Kristina – are in mortal danger. These Georgian children may not survive this winter unless we urgently reach out and help them.
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO GOD!
This is the Jakhia family. A beautiful, true Georgian family where seven little angels are living in extreme poverty.
Mariam, 11; Ani, 9; Lizi, 7; Levan, 5; Tazo, 3; Rezi, 2.5; and seven-month-old Kristina.
When I, a journalist from the Chernovetskyi Fund, traveled from Tbilisi to Abasha to visit the Jakhia family, I already knew the children needed our help, friends. But what I saw there was worse than anything I had imagined. I had never seen anything like it before…
In this dark, dreadful room, a “country of dead things” has been created. You’re not mistaken… Everything other people had set aside to throw away now lies here, in the Jakhia family’s room. And the most terrible thing is that this “country of dead things” is the only safe place for these little angels.
This sweet boy with bright eyes was searching for suitable winter shoes but, sadly, couldn’t find a matching pair. My God, how much tragedy there is in this seemingly simple moment.
Two-and-a-half-year-old Rezi also joined this “country of dead things.”
With his tiny fingers, frozen from the cold, he searched for boots, but…
Oh no… it’s impossible to look at this calmly. God, is this not a nightmare?
This little princess hoped to find boots of her size and go play snowballs with other children, but she found only these summer shoes.
The girl tried to make sure I, a “stranger,” wouldn’t notice the pain in her heart, but I could feel the fire burning inside her. And I felt that same fire burning inside me…
Lizi, 7: “Our peers have everything, and we have nothing. Auntie, don’t think I’m jealous of them. I just want to live like they do.”
This is seven-month-old Kristina. She is probably the only “happy” child in the family, because she is still too little to understand the misfortune they are living through. She needs special nutrition, but her poor mother doesn’t even dare to dream of it – it’s far too expensive.
Friends, can we really abandon this seven-month-old angel and still sleep peacefully afterward?!
Thirty-three-year-old Ketevan has been turned into a fifty-three-year-old woman by unbearable poverty.
There is no food at home, so the poor mother gave each child a piece of bread.
Look — the hungry children eat plain bread with the same joy as if it were fried chicken.
The Jakhia children are perceptive and understanding, so they don’t ask their mother to buy them anything…
Holy Mother of God, I beg You, take these children under Your protection!
The roof of the house is so damaged that rain and snow fall into the rooms just as they do outside. The walls are rotten and cracked from dampness.
There is no glass in the windows. The wooden door is so decayed that it barely serves any purpose.
The children’s bed is broken and propped up on bricks.
This strange toy is the child’s only toy.
And this… is the Jakhia family’s “toilet.”
Mari, 11: “I don’t dream of some kind of princess house. I just want water not to drip from the ceiling. I dream of having nice wallpaper on the walls, even cheap ones, so I won’t be ashamed to invite my classmates over.”
How many times has seven-month-old Kristina been woken by the sound of rain dripping from the ceiling?
Kindhearted people, these little angels are not ‘someone else’s children.’ They are children of our small homeland. They are children of all of us today. Their eyes beg us for only one thing –
“Save us.”
What is most terrifying is that these children, robbed of their childhood, are not even asking for it to be returned. They ask only to be saved. Yes… only to be saved…And now the decision is yours, God-fearing people.
If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Abasha, 80 Tavisupleba Str.
