He was never meant to live a life like this.

No human being should have to.

It’s as if Zura was forgotten at the very beginning – right where others are given a chance. He grew up in a world he could barely see.

He worked to the point of exhaustion, picking cotton by touch alone, saving every penny – not for dreams, but for the simple right to one day see the face of the person beside him.

But even love passed him by.

For who would want to build a life with someone who cannot see?

When he was finally gifted his sight, it felt as though life had arrived late, but it had arrived nonetheless. He opened his eyes… only to almost immediately begin losing everything else.

The illness came silently, without pain at first – like a deception. Then it took his leg. Then, part of the other.

And this is what his life looks like today: a man who once couldn’t see the world now sees it perfectly, yet cannot move a single step toward it.

He doesn’t live in his own home – it was destroyed by an earthquake. He doesn’t live his own life – because without help, he cannot even make it outside.

Sometimes, all he can do is wait for the neighbor’s boy to come home… just so he can be wheeled out into the sun.

For a few minutes of warmth. For a few minutes where he can feel alive again.

He has no one. No family. No support. No future to hold on to.

He needs an electric wheelchair so he can go outside on his own and no longer be a prisoner of his own loneliness.
He needs medical exams and tests so that doctors can prepare him for prosthetics – for the chance to stand on his own feet and try to walk again. And he desperately needs expensive medication to manage his diabetes – without it, the disease continues to silently drain what little strength he has left.

This is not a request for “convenience.”

This is an attempt to restore a man’s right to move, to be treated, and to not simply fade away in isolation.

After all, there are so few of us left… and we have always been one family. Every time you reach out to a family in need, you will feel something incredible… as if you have spoken with God Himself!
