In our beloved Georgia, there are many people who are not simply living below the poverty line – they are facing unimaginable hardship. And the saddest part is that many of them have no one to turn to but us

If we do not help, some will live their entire lives with disabilities that could have been prevented. Others may lose their lives. Some will continue to suffer through unbearable hardship. Children will miss school because they have nothing they need to attend. Many do not even have basic devices for learning and communication.

They are left alone with their pain and struggles, as if lost in a vast desert. Social allowance in Georgia is lower than in many countries around the world. The country is losing hope: there are not enough jobs, and many people see no future… But together, friends, we can make a difference. We must give them a chance at a better life and restore their pride in their country – a country whose people, throughout its thousand-year history, have always helped those in need.

On the Chernovetskyi Fund website and on Facebook you can read the stories of our beneficiaries. These are not fairy tales. These are not fictional characters. They are real people who live among us – people who are asking for help and compassion. Let us open our hearts to them.

Since the Chernovetskyi Fund was founded in 2012, together with you we have helped thousands of families. You can be proud of this, friends. Never doubt for a moment: God sees every helping hand you extend. Because God is love.  He is always close to those who help rescue people – many of them children – from hopeless poverty, unbearable living conditions, and darkness.

Step by step, forgotten, vulnerable, and seriously ill people gain hope for a brighter future and a better life. Thanks to you, hundreds of seriously ill people have continued their treatment and rehabilitation and received a new chance at life. Hundreds of large families and elderly people living alone have received home appliances, furniture, beautiful clothes and shoes, wheelchairs, bicycles, food, diapers, toys, school supplies, and much more.

The main and only goal of the Chernovetskyi Fund is to touch the hearts of people throughout Georgia and inspire them to embrace one of the most important callings in life – serving God through charity. There is no greater expression of love that a person can offer.

And it is especially important to help those who are not close to us. Not only our relatives and loved ones, whom we naturally support, but people we may never meet, whose words of gratitude we may never hear, and whose tears of joy we may never see. We share their stories in our reports but believe us – all the gratitude they wish to express will ultimately be heard by God. Words cannot describe how grateful they are to you.

To our Lord, there is no such thing as “small” help, just as there is no such thing as “small” compassion or a “small” prayer. To Him, who loves you personally, nothing is ever “too small” if you offer your whole heart in sympathy to the suffering – both in the moment of helping and ever after.

Remember, God cares for your soul above all; He looks for the aid that comes from the very depths of your heart. Give whatever you can, so that you may never look back and regret a heart left cold.

Friend, as soon as you feel responsible for another person and his pain, at that very moment you will become a different person – a person close to God!
