Look into this child’s eyes – there seems to be an unspoken hurt hidden inside them…

Giorgi had been waiting so long for this surgery; all the adults kept promising him that afterward, the pain would finally be gone. They told him he’d not only walk again, but that his heart’s greatest desire – the dream that visits him in his sleep over and over – would finally come true: he would be running through the school hallways during recess, right alongside the other boys!!! All the adults kept saying: ‘This is it! Our boy’s suffering is finally over! No more terrible pain! His legs will finally obey him!’ But how could I possibly explain to this intelligent child why his most treasured surgery was canceled over the complete absence of some dollars he has never even seen? How do you explain that mere pieces of paper can decide whether he becomes happy – or remains miserable and suffering for the rest of his life?!

How can we explain to him that doctors in Turkey have valued his life at nine thousand dollars? In the movies, parents often spend that much – or even more – just on a birthday feast at a restaurant!

Giorgi, 8: “When the children play during recess at school, I stay in the classroom because I can’t even walk properly, let alone run. My dream is just to play tag or dodgeball at least once.”

This is what this horrifying illness looks like in the life of this Georgian angel.

 “A routine injection in a Georgian hospital incubator turned this child’s life into a battle for the right to walk.”

A vascular malformation caused epileptic seizures. Hellish pain keeps him from sleeping. But the most terrifying part is that this disease leads to complete paralysis. GOD, SAVE HIM! SAVE HIM!

Giorgi was born healthy. But because he arrived early, he had to be placed in an incubator. It was only after they were discharged from the maternity hospital that the truth came out: the baby had developed bone sepsis. It was an infection that had leaked into his bloodstream, eventually poisoning his entire system.

Veriko, 35 (Giorgi’s mother): “After my child spent six months in the incubator, he developed sepsis. If doctors had discovered the bacteria in time, it never would have progressed this far. They kept reassuring me that everything was fine. Meanwhile, precious time was being lost…”

Friends, the tragedy does not end there. One of his legs is now 3 centimeters shorter than the other. This uneven strain has already caused spinal deformity. The unbearable pain has now become so severe that even painkillers no longer help.

This little angel’s heart has already endured four surgeries – and he is only 8 years old. Now, to save his life, he urgently needs surgery abroad. Doctors in Turkey are already waiting for our little prince. But because there is no money, getting him to Turkey is impossible. And with every passing hour, his chance to walk slips further away.

Tazo, 6: “Auntie, some children don’t want to play with my little brother, but they even offer me their toys. But, Auntie, I have never taken their toys, and I have never played with them even once.”

Endless pain. Endless hopelessness…

Poor Giorgi’s body is becoming more paralyzed with each passing day. He cannot even dress himself anymore. And 6-year-old Tazo cares for his brother with such love and devotion that it is impossible to hold back tears.

For the Kirvalidze family, even a single piece of bread feels like a rich feast.

This family, with three young children, lives in extreme poverty, crowded into one tiny rented room.

This rusty metal balcony is the children’s only source of hope.

Every day, these little angels stand on that balcony and look out at the road… Perhaps one day, a real angel in human form will appear on their street too.
