To live or to die — it’s up to us, friends, to decide! Four hungry children live in a frozen trailer, and what’s even worse, their father, who resides with them, possibly has a deadly contagious form of tuberculosis and hepatitis C!

Seven huddling people in a small train carriage! They can barely squeeze in there! They breathe with Koch’s bacilli (father has tuberculosis ). But even that air is not enough for everyone!

Oh God, God, our gratitude to You knows no bounds! Who are we, just humble staff, to be addressing such crucial matters, often matters of life and death, with our Fund’s friends! Thank you, Father, for guiding this unfortunate Georgian family to our Fund! We will definitely show hundreds of thousands of our kind friends in Georgia the horror of the lives of sick children, an elderly woman, and a mother devastated by grief!

STOP! DANGER!

Under no circumstances enter this carriage, friends! But do take a look with your hearts!  Because the final destination of this train is hell!

Of course, it’s necessary to buy everything the little ones need, examine them, dress them, provide shoes, feed, treat, and move everyone to a bright and spacious apartment! Even if it’s rented at the first stage! But do it as quickly as possible – God forbid, someone might die!”

Don’t pass by this sorrow, friends!  Don’t pass by!  Very soon, this train with the deadly carriage could head towards the darkest dungeon in the world!”

“Santa doesn’t exist,  maybe he does for others, but not for us! He probably doesn’t know that children can live in a carriage,” says almost like a grown-up handsome little Bidzina.

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

Lamzira, a housewife and mother, tries not to complain about life.   “Sometimes,” she says, “it feels like we’re only living because God is with us.” We’re like sardines in a can. My husband is sick. He has hepatitis and tuberculosis. He can’t work. There’s never enough food, and as a result, the children are constantly getting sick. They can’t even handle a common cold. Buying medications for us is a real luxury! Medications are only for Bidzina!

Bidzina (8-years-old): I don’t want medications, I want candies!

Lamzira: But he has epilepsy! And sometimes he loses consciousness, with foam coming from his mouth.

‘The family spends half of its income – 600 lari – on Bidzina’s medications.’

When my seizures begin, I become like a wooden puppet and collapse… And I remember nothing!  But it’s not very painful!  Only my heart hurts before the seizure.”

Bidzina: My heart starts to hurt, and then I collapse, and I don’t remember anything…

Lamzira: He is our firstborn, and he is seriously ill! Cursed epilepsy!  During seizures, I die with him every time… And all he wants is candy!  Oh God, how I fear the day when I won’t be able to afford medicine for my child!  It costs 600 lari! It’s half of our allowance for 7 people, can you imagine that? Fortunately, we don’t have to pay rent…

When Bidzina feels his heart starting to ache, he knows that a seizure is about to follow.  And when he comes to senses, everyone around is in tears!

– I know that paying rent would be impossible for you, but how do you manage to fit in here?

Lamzira: For several years now, with our own efforts and with the help of the state, we’ve been building walls. But we can’t finish it. It’s hard to call it home. Just walls and a roof. Recently our neighbors gave us a window, and someone else brought a door… So, we’re turning to you. Maybe you can somehow help us.

‘This is the tastiest pot – that’s where Mom hides the bread from us.’

“The ‘dining car,’ with stale bread on the menu!

“I am the best girl!” Oh, those Georgian eyes! The most beautiful and the most unfortunate in the world!

– And what does little and the quietest Petre want?

Giorgi: He’s not really quiet; he’s loud! He screams louder than anyone, yells louder than anyone, and cries louder than anyone! He’s just shy around you right now.

‘I have one broken teddy bear… but I want ‘daw’ and ‘dandy.’

Petre (4-year-old): I’m a good boy. I want a car. And I won’t lend it to anyone. I’ll play with it alone. They bully me. I will give it only to my mom. She’s the best.

Lamzira: My children are my happiness. They keep me from going crazy.

– I see. In such conditions, life is very difficult…  What kind of life did you dream of before marriage?

“Absolutely do not go in, friends! This train is headed for hell! Is this the way children in European Georgia should live?”

Lamzira: I had a very tough childhood. I only dreamed of one thing – to find love. I was ready to live in a tent… and then, when I met Irakli, I married him. As the Georgian proverb goes, ‘Loving spouses will fit even on the handle of an axe’. It turned out to be true But, when children come along, it becomes very cramped.

– What was the hardest thing in your childhood?

Lamzira: We lived very poor, and many of my beloved relatives died. Even my daughter died at birth. Only God knows how much I suffer! I gave birth to her, but her lungs didn’t open… I didn’t even have a chance to hug her. There is not even a grave to mourn her…

“I don’t know how to draw, but this is my dream – a car with a remote control.”

– Our condolences to you. How can we help you, Lamzira?

Giorgi: Mom, beds!

Bidzina: Mom, also green peas and mayonnaise, and tasty things!

Lamzira: My children are deprived of everything! Just a few months ago, I made them an ‘Olivier’ salad – they still talk about it. We really need food, beds, a refrigerator… And if possible, please help us repair our building so we can move out of this carriage and live in a normal house.

Our hearts break into pieces when we witness innocent children suffering from poverty… it brings tears to our eyes, but we understand that emotions alone won’t solve the problem. It’s time for us to unite and take action. We always feel grateful to God when we see our community coming together in tough times. Today, we reach out to you, asking for help for the Javakhishvili family, teetering on the edge of life and death. They urgently need our support.

In the Sacred Scriptures, we find inspiration and wisdom that remind us of the importance of love and care for our neighbors. “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31). This commandment urges us to act with nobility and compassion towards those in need of our help.

The family urgently needs to acquire food, hygiene items, a refrigerator, and beds, while the children lack toys and treats. Perhaps you have the opportunity to help the family and finish building their little home? Maybe you have any building materials left after renovations? Let’s join our efforts and do something kind to lighten their heavy burden.

For he who shows mercy to the poor, serves God! By helping this family, we embody the highest spiritual values and demonstrate our faith in the power of goodness.

If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Tbilisi, Lilo settlement, Evgeny Apkhazava 6th turn, building 1.

Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone’s prayers through you!

We are sure that all together we will manage to save them from imminent death.

Please don’t forget to repost our story. Let your friends know about the grief of this family! It’s extremely important!
