Alexi was riding horseback when a raging bull attacked him from behind with a powerful blow. The furious animal relentlessly tossed and trampled him, breaking his bones! In mere minutes, a strong, hardworking man became disabled. Luckily, he survived! Alexi’s spine was damaged, his lungs were torn, and his pelvis fractured. He became bedridden, unable to even walk to the bathroom on his own. Alexi struggled to breathe and lacked the strength to speak. His family—his bright-eyed son Gio and kind wife Keti—were heartbroken, not knowing where to find the money for his treatment. Do you want to know how Alexi is doing now? Then follow us! Thanks to the friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund, his condition has greatly improved. Guess where we’re going now? Not to Alexi’s bedside. We’re heading to his workplace.

0901200270The bull trampled me and tossed me like a rag doll until I lost consciousness… But the most terrible wound the terrible animal inflicted on my beloved family!
“Now I’m a cripple, and I was the breadwinner! Who will feed and clothe them? We’ve already sold everything, so we don’t starve to death!”
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!
Alexey recalls that fateful day with horror. He survived by miracle. If not for divine intervention, his son Giorgi would have been orphaned, and his wife Ketevan widowed. God! We live on the edge every day, and nothing is certain!
The bull tossed me around like a rag doll and wanted to trample me.
Aleksi: That day started like any other. I went to the field, as usual. But fate had a terrible trial in store for me. An enraged bull attacked me suddenly, without warning. The animal threw me off my horse and tossed me around like a toy, and it seemed like it was going to crush me with its powerful hooves. That day, I was born again.
– It’s a miracle! Probably no one thought you would survive.
Aleksi: It was terrifying. At first, I didn’t even understand what had happened. Everything happened so fast, and I found myself in the air. The hospital staff said they couldn’t believe I survived. My lung was torn, ribs broken, and my spine injured. I don’t even know how many liters of fluid they removed from me. But despite not having fatal injuries, I haven’t felt like a human being for the past two years. I can’t take a few steps without getting out of breath, my back hurts terribly, and, most sadly, I can’t work anymore.
‘I can’t take two steps, I can’t say two sentences without getting out of breath… And these medications are incredibly expensive.’
– Does that mean your family is left without a livelihood?
Aleksi: Yes! I don’t even know who is suffering more right now. Sometimes I feel like I’ve let them down. As long as I could, I didn’t spare myself; I worked so my wife and son wouldn’t go hungry. We don’t own anything; we only have each other.
– What about this house? Are you renting it?
Aleksi: No! We don’t have anything of our own. We don’t have an address or a registration. We live like homeless people. This is a friend’s house; he let us stay here. Sometimes the neighbors help, bringing us food. In winter, a neighbor brought firewood. Thanks to him, we didn’t freeze. That’s how we live. Everything here belongs to someone else.
“This is a friend’s house where he let us to stay.”
Giorgi: No, not everything! I have one thing that’s mine! Come, I’ll show you! This is Vazha! Isn’t he cute? Look how tiny he is; he never leaves my side. I love him so much! He’s both a friend and a toy to me!”
“This kitten is both my friend and my toy!”
– Don’t you have any other toys?
Giorgi: Dad promised to buy me a bicycle. We even saved up for it together, but then that nasty bull almost killed him! So, I gave all the bike money to Mom to buy medications for him. That’s how I ended up without a bicycle but with Vazha!
“Dad promised to buy me a bicycle, but all the money we saved for it, I gave to Mom to buy medications for Dad.”
– What can ease your suffering?
Aleksi: I really need to complete my treatment. When the doctors told me approximately how much the rehabilitation would cost, I just waved it off. It was cheaper for me to die than to get treated. And there’s no one to ask for help. We don’t have parents, and our relatives are also living in poverty. No one is obligated to help you. We didn’t even get an allowance. Because we don’t have registration. Now they said they might start giving us allowance… We’ll see.
“My dad will get better someday, but for now, I help Mom around the house.”
– What do you live on?
Aleksi: My wife Ketevan had to shoulder the entire burden of the family. She goes out to work in the vineyards. They pay her pennies, which we use to buy medicine and food. But again, if it weren’t for the neighbors, we would have died either from the cold or from hunger. God! How I have let my family down… Now our only hope is you!”
“Dad couldn’t keep his promise and couldn’t give Giorgi the bicycle. Now he feels very bad about it.”
– You know that all of Georgia reads our posts. I’m sure many will want to stand by you and help.
Aleksi: I know, that’s why I reached out to you. There’s nothing to expect from the state. They’ve even stopped paying social allowance. When I ask for help with medications or groceries, they throw me 300 lari once a year like a bone to a hungry dog and think that’s enough. But 300 lari isn’t enough even for my medications and napkins. It’s uncomfortable for a young man to talk about this. But if you help me with rehabilitation, if I can become a fully functional person again, then I’ll be able to provide for my family myself! I’ll even be able to help others.
My child sleeps on a broken bed…
– Ketevan, your husband is embarrassed. Maybe you can tell us what would make your life easier?
Ketevan: I’m embarrassed asking too, but of course, we need a lot. Our washing machine is broken, the refrigerator doesn’t work. And Giorgi really wants a bicycle. Papa always kept all his promises to him, and now he’s really upset that he left him without this gift. Also, he sleeps on a broken couch, and if we could replace that too, it would be great.
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!
Aleksi’s story is not only a tale of miraculous salvation, but also a powerful reminder of the power of faith and kindness. In difficult times, the help and support of our neighbors can be the light that guides us through the darkness. Extend a helping hand, perform a good deed, and perhaps you will become part of someone’s miracle.
Let’s unite and support the family of Aleksi Dimitrishvili. By helping others, we help ourselves as well, bringing us closer to God and to each other.
Aleksi and his family are grateful for the second chance they were given, and they believe that it is good deeds and charity that attract God’s grace into our lives. In the Orthodox tradition, helping our neighbor is one of the central tenets of the faith. When we lend a helping hand, we not only support those in need, but we turn our faith into action, putting into practice the commandments of Christ.
If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Telavi, 5 Ninoshvili Street.
Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone’s prayers through you!
We are sure that all together we will manage to save this family from imminent death.

Gio, the son: “Thanks to the friends of the Fund, my dad is healthy! He’s back on his feet, and for me, that’s the greatest happiness! Before, he used to tell me that miracles don’t happen.”

Do you want to know how Alexi is doing now? Then follow us! Thanks to the friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund, his condition has greatly improved. Guess where we’re going now? Not to Alexi’s bedside. We’re heading to his workplace.
Alexi has started working on a farm for a few hours a day.
– Alexi, I can’t believe my eyes! My God this is incredible! Not only are you recovering, but you’re already working!
Alexi: Why don’t you believe it? (Laughs.) Your support, medications, and treatment helped me. I’ve been taking medication for six months and completed two rehabilitation courses at the balneological clinic in Ortachala. Thanks to kind people, I’m back on my feet!
At the clinic, I underwent various treatments—injections, mud wraps, hydro-massage, and manual therapy. I’ve finished some medications, while others I’m still taking. The Chernovetskyi Fund ensures I have everything I need. I first stepped outside in July, and now I go out whenever I want. The doctor said I could start working a little, so I did. For the past two months, I’ve been working on the farm a few hours a day.
– Can we take a look around? Could you show us what you do?
Alexi: Of course! Please come in! But first, I need to feed the pigs, cows, and bulls—they’re hungry and will be noisy. Don’t worry about the noise, though.
Alexi: “The doctor allowed me to work, and I’ve been here for two months now.”
– It’s incredibly noisy! I’ve never heard such a roar before! But Alexi, aren’t you afraid of feeding those bulls?
Alexi: No, I’ve moved on from that nightmare. How long can one dwell on past tragedies? They’ve drained me physically and emotionally. I feel good here, working and staying busy. The animals’ noise distracts me from my problems. Once I finish cleaning the stalls, we’ll head home. My son Gio has named this piglet Peppa—it’s his favorite.
Both Keti and Gio have stopped worrying about Alexi and are in good spirits.
The drive to Alexi’s home takes 15 minutes. Smiling, Keti greets us at the door, and cheerful Gio immediately starts chatting: “Did you see Peppa, my favorite piggy? I love visiting my dad at the farm. Look, the bed is neatly made; no one lies on it during the day anymore. My dad walks on his own now and does everything himself. I want to hug you and your colleague for helping my dad. Do you want me to show you his medications? Dad has to keep taking them for a long time. This one he rubs on his body, this one he swallows, and this one he sprays in his mouth. It’d be great if he didn’t need them at all, but since they help, we’re happy.
Now, let me show you my kitten, Vazha. Where’s Vazha? Of course, he’s sitting by the heater where it’s warm.”
Alexi has been taking medication for six months and undergoing rehabilitation at a balneological clinic. Now he’s doing much better!
Alexi: “I want to say a huge thank-you to everyone who helped my family while I was bedridden. Thank you for the new gas heater, the TV, the child’s sofa, and the bicycle. Everyone helped in different ways: someone sent medicine from Germany, and friends of the Fund covered our utility bills.”
While Alexi was bedridden, friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund took care of his family, providing a heater, a TV, a sofa, and much more.
Gio: “I sleep on the sofa now. It’s warm and comfy. I like it. During the day, I can play on it. Let’s play a board game with chips! We can set the board right on the sofa.”
Gio sleeps on his new sofa. When we visited them, he played a board game with our colleague.
Keti, Alexi’s wife: “Thank you, friends of the Fund, for our family’s happiness! I can’t get enough of seeing my husband on his feet. Oh, how we worried and were afraid for him. Gio and I felt so stressed, and Alexi was so anxious! But with your help, we overcame that terrible period and moved forward. How could I have helped my husband recover on my own? Now it’s New Year’s, and as things are getting better for us, I hope peace and harmony come to every family. Health, prosperity, and a happy, peaceful life to our country!”
Now Gio is no longer busy doing odd jobs for the family but is enjoying typical boyish activities: watching TV, riding his bike…
Alexi: Gio has finally shifted his focus from my illness to regular boyish things.
– And how’s he doing?
Alexi: Do you know why the school called his mother in? Because of him, the girls got into a fight. They’re already writing him love notes.
Our Gio is popular with the girls now!
– Oh, dear!
Gio: I have nothing to do with that! I didn’t even know they were in love with me.
Gio has had a bike since summer and rarely parts with it.
– Keti, did our project help you receive any assistance from the state?
Keti: The state restored our social allowance of 350 GEL—that’s something. While my husband was ill and I was running around hospitals, I couldn’t handle the paperwork for it. Thankfully, Telavi City Hall took care of it. We’ve also been signed up for a free canteen program, but apparently that starts in the new year. No one has called us yet.
– Alexi, we know that you’ve been prescribed medication for an extended period, and your recovery will take just as long. You can always count on support from the Chernovetskyi Fund. What else can we do to help improve your health?
Alexi: After that incident with the bull, I developed a spinal hernia. It can be treated without surgery, but I need a manual therapist. That would help me a lot.
Friends, your help has brought incredible results! Thank you for bringing happiness to this family. To solve Alexi’s remaining health issues, he needs a manual therapist.
